Came to Dennys with my family and while we were eating a cockroach was on the window. We informed staff and the staff couldn't find it. Minutes later the cockroach was found and one of the families I came with killed it by stepping on it. It was not expected to see a cockroach. Staff attempted to make our visit pleasant but it was hard not to be looking over all around for more. I would not go back. I recently went to dine at this Denny's and the front desk assisted me very quickly. Our waiter was named Frank and he was a very great waiter! Frank was super quick to bring our food, came to check up on us frequently, but not too much to the point where it would bother you, and he was very funny! Came in on a Wednesday morning. We were greeted right away by a man who told us to follow him to our table. Not sure if he forgot he told us to follow him, but instead of bringing us to our table, he went to another family and started asking for their orders. It was so awkward, and it made us question whether he really asked to follow him, but we were all 100% sure that he did. We waited for him to finish taking the family's orders so that he could direct us on where to sit, but he ended up heading straight to the kitchen. Maybe he forgot about us? So we just asked a server if we were supposed to seat ourselves and she apologized and lead us to a table. My cousin ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelet. I ordered the Build Your Own Grand Slam. It's standard Denny's fare, so of course the food was okay as it always is. What was questionable though was the fresh brown stain on my plate which matched none of the items on my plate nor my cousins' and the dirty utensils (orange food bits stuck to the spoon) wrapped in my napkin. Seeing these before I had a chance to eat my food definitely made the meal a little less appetizing. Our server was very attentive to us and all the tables she served. Good service for the most part. This Denny's was particularly unique considering they have a Disney store inside and Disney art decorating the walls of the restaurant. My roommates and I were craving pancakes at 12am. We went to two Denny's and they where close, this was our third Denny's we went to and we were starving. Our food came out good Pancakes and coffee no complaints. However my Roomate ordered tater tots "to start off with" and our waiter told us it would be 10 mins. We were okay with that. We ended up waited almost 1 hour for his tater tots to come out. I understand things happened, but I am a manager at a restaurant and communication is ALWAYS key especially if you guys run out of an item we should have been told something or acknowledged. When our server Diana told us it will be 10 mins she asked if we were willing to wait. Those 10 mins turned into 1 hour, we got no sorry it took that long or acknowledgment that it took 1 hour. When I confronted her why it took so long her explanation is the cook had to make the tater tots by hand. Working in the food industry I get it and I understand completely but as a manger this is unacceptable if this would happen on my shift with my servers. I believe she should have communicated with us. I'm not the type to ask for free stuff or special treatment but we got the tater tots when we got our check and we were thinking we were going to start off with them not leave with them in a to go box. This was right by my hotel, so it was the perfect walking distance since we missed breakfast. It was a slow day so service was slow. Usually when I go to Denny's they help you right away, but this one took quite a while. My friend asked for strawberries on the side after we ordered but the waiter didn't mention that it would be a $1 more until we saw the bill. Things like that should be mentioned, especially if we no longer have the menu in sight. Great location, not so great service. Actually went to Denny's because of their $2-2-6-8 menu but should have looked at the reviews before coming. So I guess you know that a Denny's across from Disneyland would be crowded, noisy, and "touristy." There's a mini store/counter at the front of the store selling some Disney stuff (it actually looks quite cute). The service wasn't that great but maybe because they were busy (but not THAT busy). The waiter had to take back one of our orders because it was completely wrong. So wrong that in the end, he still didn't get it right. Gave up. *If you have an AARP card, you get $1 off your coffee (50% off) and after 4pm you get 20% off your meal. read more

This last week we have had amazing service. The food has been good. We went to several other restaurants on the way here and have not had as good of service. We also went to other Dennys in the area that had poor service and the food was not as good. Our server Gabriel O. Was amazing. We came in a few different times, when it was slow and when it was busy and his excellent customer service never changed. He checked on us numerous times to make sure we had everything we needed. The kids even wanted to come back just to see him this morning before we go home from our Disneyland vacation. He spoke very highly of his co-workers and was very positive and outgoing. The convenience of this location right next to our hotel for the night was nice but that was pretty much it for me. We waited 40 plus minutes before one of our meals came out and even then, my son's chicken nuggets were burnt. My husband liked his skillet and my brother liked his burger. My salmon was over cooked and hard while my rice was mushy and unappetizing. There were plenty of servers but not much service. I would say the place was maybe half-filled but not busy. My family and I waited about ten minutes before my husband had to get up and ask if anyone was going to take our drink order. Let me add they were over staffed with everyone just talking behind the counter. The waitress' excuse was she thought someone else had taken our drink order but we had been waiting so long wouldn't it be common sense to look at our table and see no drinks? The two men one being the host who sat us stood behind the counter laughing. The host spends too much time hanging out in the back instead of being at the front or even helping clean the dirty tables. By far, the best Denny's I've been to when it comes to service and food! We came here for dinner after a long day at Disney and had breakfast here as well. For dinner, I ordered a peppercorn sirloin steak cooked medium (because I was expecting them to overcook it - as all the other Denny's I've been to have) and it was perfect! It wasn't too salty and it was cooked the way I wanted it. All the other Denny's I've been to have cooked steaks too salty, so I was pleasantly surprised. At breakfast, we got the typical: eggs, pancakes, bacon. And we also ordered some double chocolate pancake balls. Everything was great and we were checked up on at least once every 10 minutes. Before going to the happiest place on earth I decided to stop by here for breakfast. I was greeted by a server who I thought was going to be our server but we ended up getting someone else. We got a man, who's name I forgot, who didnt even greet me. Plus he took a long time to take our order despite only being a little busy. He seemed like he was rushing. They close at midnight even on a weekend and probably because of the hit they took because of covid so that's understandable. The waiter comes and apologizes no one took the drink orders. We were seated on the outside patio which was great! It was nice, warm, So-Cal November type of weather. Service could improve. It took a while for us to get our drinks: coffee, water, and a coke. By the time I received my coffee, it was lukewarm. Food was good but also came out pretty late.
