Slow to respond to calls or emails. Project took many months longer than projected. They often…read moresaid that they were working on the house, but I had people check who confirmed that no one was there. Now almost a year into what they said would be a 3 month job. Looks like it will be a legal issue. Ug. So sad.

BUILDER BEWARE! Around November (2018) this group told me that they were full for the next summer…read more(2019). 2 months later they contact me and ask to bid the earth and concrete work. The bid came back a little over 100K so we verbally agree to work together. On March 1st I get a call from the Project Manager about a precon meeting and starting the project. I let him know I don't have the Land Use Permit quite yet. 2 weeks later I get an email stating that my LUP has been approved. 3 days later the PM calls back and states that I need to get started because we are behind schedule. Mind you I've only had the LUP for less than 4 days (weekend included). He also informs me that I need to increase my bids by 25% due to winter costs! He asks me to clear the snow from the lot so I do, at a cost of $400 (skid steer rental 4/3). Fast forward and the PM will not call me back for 1.5 weeks, all snow melted in that time, we set a precon meeting for the last week in April. I tell him I am out of town 4/24-5/1 so he moves the precondition meeting to first week in May. On 4/24 he sends me email that they are declining my project. TOTALLY BULLSHIT. Now that I have lined up new contractors, both have told me that this is not the first time they have worked a project in the Big Sky area where this exact thing has happened.

Dumbfounded that after being an impeccable tenant in a tiny, falling apart, old home, they had the…read moreaudacity to send me a bill for over $20k in supposed damages. I was pregnant, with a 3 year old and lived there just over a year and yet they charged me for foundation repair, a dilapidated carport, broken cabinets that I'd been trying the get fixed since the day we moved in, etc. Dishonest and money hungry. After 8 years of not hearing a word, they send me to collections for that outrageous amount which has completely ruined my credit.

Quick recap and then I will go into the details:…read more 9/4/18, 10:28am (1.5 hours before we were scheduled to move in). Email from Lighthouse Cove rep. "These repairs should have been completed by now, however I am here right now and they have not finished. Very frustrating." 9/4/18, 11:12am (on our way to the property after 21 hours of driving from Nevada with two cats ... VERY TIRED) Another email from Lighthouse Cove "I am very sorry to do this again unfortunately, the home will not be ready til later today. You are free to unpack everything in the garage." So we arrive because we have nowhere else to go. We see the garage and it was filthy and dark. After some time standing on the driveway and after enjoying the lake view, dozens of fleas made it to my pants, shoes, in my socks and on my sweater!!! I need to add... the home inside smelled like old wet sweaty dog, had one of the door frames dilapitated, smelled moist in the home and was unclean. This is in addition to all the fleas and TICK that landed on me. 9/4/18, 11:35am. Email from Lighthouse Cove rep "Looks like you will not be able to move in til 4pm or later. Again I can not apologize enough about this." We were so sick and tired of the run around, last minute changes and the dirty home after a loooong drive to WA. We asked for our money back and they considered it breaking the lease. We ended up losing a deposit for a home we NEVER MOVED INTO. I strongly recommend to not allow this place to manage any of your living situations. They had the audacity to take the deposit knowing we had to stay in a hotel due to not having housing despite their mistake! On the bright side, we found a legitimate property management company that assisted us, that did a full walk through WITH US (unlike Lighthouse Cove) that wanted for us to just take notes on mishaps and turn it in within 5 days). Arent walk throughs supposed to be WITH the landlord!? I guess only professional companies do that. Our management follows through and had a VERY CLEAN AND LIVABLE HOME for us and we didn't have to worry about health hazards.
