Kitchen was first, came in on time and on budget with minimal issues. Second project was done during the middle of Covid, so that hampered timing a bit, but I think that was understandable. There were a few issues but Built Square really did their best to make them right. I'm a very picky person and Divven and Rick worked well with me, listening to my concerns and working with me on what needed to be done.

We paid $12,000 for the work , only to discover a couple years later that he'd installed a brand new outdoor spigot replacement , yet did not run a water line to this spigot as it was before. Then when we called him to report this oversight he said he would come by and after that we've never heard from him again , and he will not even return our calls or a text . Now it's a year later , he still won't respond , and we will have to hire another plumber to do the work that we've already paid Max to do, because it's cheaper than trying to file a case for small claims. This , and Max lives blocks away from us! We hired Max because a neighbor referred him. We liked Max and have had no other problems from his work. But due to this experience I now see him as being of the "Fast and loose" style of workmanship and business owner. And its hard not to be angry that I've paid him $12,000 for this work and he now won't return a phone call or text , he's just blowing us off over one single cold water pipe length! What kind of business owner would lose a potential repeat client over such a small oversight? The neighbor who referred us won't be using him again either , or referring him because of this episode. I also recently noticed a posting that his contractors license was expired as of a couple months ago, although I did not verify that fact. So please be warned , Glacial Sewer and Construction appears to be a sketchy business to do business with , based on our experience.

Not only could they not stick within the timeline, but they did things so bass-ackwards that the new contractor had to redo so much of what I had been billed and paid for... for instance, before rebuilding the wall, they set the trusses. The trusses were set crooked and a couple were set backwards. Two of them broke because of the stress of being wrongly installed. They billed for full demolition, but did not complete it. They billed for clearing the crawl space and laying plastic, but it was not done. They used 2x4 for an exterior wall when code is 2'6. I could go on and on, but the biggest of all their mistakes was that they have a $30K installment that has not been used and claim they don't have to refund me. There is a lawsuit in the works. Better Business Bureau is involved. The state attorney General is aware, and waiting on others to let them know of the deceitful practices. He threatened to sue me if I gave a negative review, but the truth is something he can't defend against... His response to my complaint with the BBB: " on Thursday, July 13, 2023 The Contractor and Mrs. Johnson entered into a contract for the Contractor to provide services. The contract included a clause that stated that the entire contract amount would become due if the client stopped, slowed, hindered, or in any way prohibited the Contractor from providing work or fulfilling the Contractor's obligations. Mrs. Johnson violated this clause by refusing to provide access to the worksite, failing to provide timely approvals, making unreasonable demands, and requesting to separate from further services from the contractor. As a result, the Contractor was unable to complete the work and suffered significant financial losses. The Contractor's attorneys have reviewed the facts of the case and believe that Mrs. Johnson has violated the contract. They are currently gathering the necessary information and will be responding to Mrs. Johnson shortly with a more detailed account of the client's violations. In addition to the contract amount, the Contractor will also be filing separate lawsuits for each instance of inaccurate and negative reviews found on social media sites and government agencies. These reviews are highly inaccurate and blatantly misleading, and they could have a significant negative impact on the Contractor's business. They will not tolerate being treated unfairly or having their reputation damaged. I was trying to work it out long distance; Stonehenge was a perfect choice because I just left everything up to him. He uses a program that lays out a very detailed schedule you can follow online, watching as action items get addressed and all the notes that spell out what the issues are and every day's progress. I've never seen such careful and detailed progress reports; it laid all my concerns to rest, as everything they did was visible with photos and written details. His design work was much appreciated, as I did not have time or interest in spending time on that. The results were stunning! He and his crew bring superior craftsmanship and attention to detail to all their tilework. He also offered to re-do some poorly done woodwork that he noticed (I was unaware of it, but he sent me pics and I was grateful he brought it to my attention). The estimate portion was very transparent and was almost exactly what it ended up being at the end; that's never happened in my experience! His crew laid down cardboard, plastic, and doorjamb protection so that the new carpet and paint job were left in brand new condition. My ring doorbell indicated that they came on time or early every day, and worked full days to get it all done on schedule. That's also unusual in my experience. I was actually able to enjoy and be excited about the bathroom and shower remodels because Bryan and his crew were so reliable, easy to communicate with, and honest and upfront with all pricing and schedule details. Any concern I had I put in texts, and he always responded within 24 hours, usually much quicker. That did so much to relieve any anxiety I had about whether the work would get done on time. Ultimately I feel like I got much more for the money than I could have gotten with any other company, and was thrilled with the results. I wouldn't trust any other contractor with a long distance reno. Highly recommend Stonehenge for any tile related work, as well as whatever other work they'd be willing to do at my home.

I know good contractors are swamped now, so I was so very pleased when Jon responded to my call…read moreright away and was able to fit me in. We coordinated with him to have our hot tub hard wired upon delivery. He came days before the delivery date, on time, to see what the situation was and what all he might need, gave a fair estimate, spelled out possible reasons it might be more, and explained everything in terms I understood. He returned the day of delivery to get things rolling before the hot tub was delivered and kept me appraised of his progress, including the snag that he warned me could happen (old, underground conduit inhibiting the pulling of wire). He finished up, I filled and heated up the hot tub and was in it the next night. Plus he followed up a few days later to make sure everything was good. Bottom line, he was professional, courteous, on time and an all around good guy.
