So it's that time of year and luckily the rain hasn't been as heavy as normal and with our tree…read morefinally done leaving it is time for that gutter to be cleared of those leaves. So what do I do, I go on Yelp, put out a request for gutter cleaning bids and go from there. And while I got several call/message backs I decided to go with Scott Doyle at Rise & Shine Contracting LLC despite not having any reviews (TOFTT). So I guess I have the honor of being his first Yelp review! Now while the other bids had good reviews and services my final decision to go with Rise & Shine came down to two things: 1. He had the lowest quote and 2. He had the better availability Our house is reasonably easy, two gutters, one east, one west and four down spouts and an easy pitch to the roof. I'd do it myself but I don't like heights and it's a two story house. And while the other gutter cleaning services were pretty consistent on the price when quoting for our house, Rise & Shine's quote seemed more reasonable for the job, being just below everyone else. As for scheduling, I understand that this time of year is probably a busy time for services like this so most gave a schedule time of a week out for the most part. With wet weather inbound we needed it sooner rather than later and Rise & Shine was able to schedule within 48 hours. The bottom line, Rise & Shine had the better quote, better availability and as for the work, he had good communication, showed up on time, was friendly, professional, and did an excellent job. I only know this because he took pictures of the gutters and sent them to me when he finished. Other services in the past had not done that so this was a nice consideration, especially since I don't like to go on the roof. He also did a great job cleaning up the mess on the ground afterwards. I mention this because I've had gutter cleaning services in the past that just left the mess on the ground, figured that wasn't a part of the price at the time. But Scott was thoughtful and thorough in this matter. Rise & Shine also offers other services which Scott mentioned, but most is stuff I can do myself with time and motivation, but going through his website I saw just a plethora of other services provided, some of which I could've used in the past, so definitely need to keep him in mind for future projects. So for your next gutter cleaning or more (see website for other services provided), I recommend Scott Doyle at Rise & Shine Contracting LLC.

Great staff, great customer service, beautiful project finished…read more After reading some of the reviews here, I admit I was hesitant to go with Creative Countertops. But, I really wanted to deal with a local company, not some big outfit from across the water. Bill at Creative was great when I made my initial visit. He knows his stuff, took his time to explain everything, and followed up every question. I ended up picking a granite I never thought I would, but the price was right. It took couple of weeks for templating appointment, and then two weeks for the manufacture which they do on site with their giant machines. I really liked being able to review how my countertop pieces were being placed on the slabs I chose, and having the ability to tell the designer "please turn that one 90 degrees, to take advantage of that white area I want to see in the top right corner of the backsplash" etc., because they have photos of your slab they lay out on! The installation guys, that I ended up calling the "J crew" because all three of their names started with J, were extremely polite and professional. Yes, sadly we ran into couple of issues. Not with the extremely complicated pieces with 6 different angles that had to go into awkward places - those "weirdos" were all measured and fit perfectly. It was the rectangle backsplash piece that had an issue, and it was addressed on the spot, and resolved to my satisfaction within 2 days. Kudos to Creative to owning their mistake, owning it, and making it right. Overall, I would go with these guys again, and do recommend them. And no, they didn't ask me to write them a review.

They were extremely expensive yet performed unprofessionally. Two quartz pieces were miss cut, they gouged the side of an adjacent wood cabinet, and then retracted their offer to address inevitable chips because I missed their one-year window by a month. And the owner, Jason, whined about how hard it is to cut quartzite and said he wouldn't do any more quartzite work! Isn't that what they are supposed to be able to do well!? I redesigned the backsplash to save them from having to order a new slab of quartz, but they did have to recut the elevated area around the prep sink, as their first attempt was ludicrous. Unless you have no budgetary constraints, all the time in the world and the patience of a saint, go elsewhere.

I had a problem with the installation and called to get replacement and possibly look at some more. She indicated to me that her first appointment to come into the showroom was a month out. When attempted to indicate that I already had product that I just needed to order more, she said "we're not a good fit for you" and hung up on me. I run 3 businesses... dealing with difficult clients and customer service. Behavior like this is never acceptable. Motor Mouth Lacy, in a condescending, rude, and aggressive tone hung up on me before I could explain that I was a customer looking for prior product. I actually called back to get Lacy's name, I said to her that I didn't appreciate her condescending tone, lack of professionalism and she hung up on me again. At no time did I raise my voice in either conversation, use profanity's or calls names. Frankly, she hung up on me less than 30 seconds after I got on to the phone. I imagine Lacy is either part owner or family member. I can't actually imagine anyone with her lack of skills and behavior is actually employed. Or maybe the employers don't know about her behavior.. that frequently happens.
