Irons Brothers remodeled our kitchen. They finished ON TIME and ON BUDGET. However, these few words don't begin to capture how great it was to work with them. We had heard so many horror stories of contractors who said they would take a couple weeks and ended up taking months or they estimated a cost and came in way over budget. We knew we did not want that. We met Joseph and Melissa Irons because their kids go to the same school as ours and I had encountered them through school activities. We didn't have much of a clue what we wanted beyond something open and way better than what we had. They recommended Terence at Luna Kitchen and Bath. He designed an idea and helped us through choosing cabinets, light fixtures, appliances and all the other choices that seemed so overwhelming. Then we got a schedule that was 13 weeks long. We lived in the house the entire time they remodeled the kitchen. The project included taking down two interior walls, taking out a sliding glass door and replacing it with a new outside wall and window. Each step of the way a specialist came out to do their part. They even custom made siding to match our existing siding and they matched the exterior paint perfectly. The cabinets, counter tops, and appliances are all perfect. The kitchen was a sort of cube in the corner of the big living room. Now the whole room is open and the entire space feels magical - comfortable, spacious, warm, inviting, well-lit. I'm the type to obsess over a tiny visual detail that isn't quite right and I am having none of that because they did such great finishing work. I waited three weeks after they were done to even decorate the rest of the room because I wanted to have the beauty of the kitchen matched throughout the room (rather than just put all the old stuff back in there). All of our questions were answered in a timely manner. They even came out on a couple weekends (including Father's Day) to fix silly little problems that we should have been able to figure out but we are house idiots. They were always patient. Not once, NOT ONCE, did they fall behind schedule. They completed their work exactly on time. The estimate they gave us in the beginning was more than we wanted to spend but we accepted that Seattle is an expensive place to, well, do anything. So it was super important to us that they not go over their estimate. And they did not - in fact, they came in slightly under. On the last day of the schedule, the clean up guy came and I wish he could come to my house every week and clean. It was spotless when he left and I mean the entire room, not just the kitchen. He even washed the windows that are not by the kitchen area. Before this experience, I would have thought it impossible to make the 13 weeks worth it. We moved our kitchen into the downstairs laundry room and bar area of the family room. It was cramped and a bunch of other unhappy adjectives. Because they were working directly above the laundry room, saw dust kept coming off the ceiling onto the kitchen area. (And yes, when they happened to go downstairs, they were even good about cleaning that up throughout the process). Weeks of frozen dinners and doing dishes in a utility sink, of having lots of strangers in the house all day long, and I can say without any qualifiers, that it was totally worth it. I only wish we would come into a windfall of money so we could use Irons Brothers again to remodel other parts of the house.... read more

I have never met a more dedicated team of professionals who donate their outstanding skills and time to reach out in the community. Their team made me feel welcome and happy to be a part of the project with them. The single mother saw her apartment repainted so carefully she had tears in her eyes, and a renewed sense of pride to accomplish her goals. She kept saying she couldn't believe that anyone would do this for her. Twice I have been witness to the results of their charitable works and both times, the recipients have been exceptionally pleased with the life changing results. The ramp I worked with them on freed a woman who'd not been able to leave her house easily due to a crippling handicap. The ramp changed her life! We made the mistake of not hiring the Irons Brothers in the first place to do our bathroom remodel. We thought we would be saving a little bit of money by having another company do some of the work, we were very mistaken. The company we hired to come and do some of the plumbing work, did a horrible job. The worst part was, that we didn't know they had done a terrible job until the Irons Brothers came to finish the remodel and pointed out all of these errors to us, (the wrong screws were used to secure the shower surround, the wrong pipe fitters were used so they were rusting out and the drainage was 3 inches off of where it was supposed to be) essentially all the work the previous company had done was coming apart, literally. Everything had to be pulled out and replaced. We were now out thousands of dollars from what we had paid the original company, with the Irons Brothers help we were able to save our bathroom as well as get some of our money back from the other company. They went well above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and that our bathroom was done the right way. Our advice to other first time home owners who are looking to have any remodeling work done in their home, avoid the headache, don't make the same mistake we did, have it done right the first time by hiring the Irons Brothers Construction company, you will not be disappointed. read more

My experience with Irons Brothers has been excellent. The reason I chose Irons Brothers was partly based on a call I had with them on another project. I had called them a couple of years ago to provide a bid for a basement remodel. I previously used another contractor on an addition to my home that I was happy with, but wanted to get a second bid. When I spoke with Joseph at Irons Brothers on the basement remodel he gave me an approximate cost for the project but also said that if I was happy with my current contractor I should stay with them. This professionalism and unselfishness stuck with me and I thought to myself if I have another project I would call Irons Brothers first. When my garage project came up I called Irons Brothers and chose them to do the work. I can say without a doubt I have been very happy with the work they have done. They are professional and communicate regularly on their progress. They not only do the job you hired them for they are willing to go the extra step. I stumbled upon Irons Brothers when looking for a good contractor in Shoreline. What I found was a GREAT contractor in Shoreline! My first project was a wooden fence up my steep backyard, followed by a complete kitchen remodel, later a bathroom remodel, and then some additional finishing work that I was unable to do myself. Carport and shed drainage and electrical projects were the latest. Now I'm planning to have the front walkway and porch done this spring. I don't have enough money to do all the projects at once but I'm always so happy with the last one I start planning for the next. I recently had Irons Brothers Construction do an almost complete remodel on my house and I have nothing but good things to say!!!!! Remodel consisted of a complete kitchen, huge new addition, new floors, new landscaping etc. Approx. time frame from the initial first meeting to completion was 7 months.
