Ordered my equipment from Sears and was a little nervous when I found out Sears wouldn't be handling the delivery or a reputable carrier - turns out rightly so. The package I ordered was over 200lbs and I didn't want to bother friends or family with picking it up myself so I decided to have it delivered and sears assigned Demar to deliver. Due to the weight and size of the package, the delivery was almost the same as the part - which was fine with me since I wouldn't have to handle it. I was given a delivery date of two weeks. Two weeks goes by and no package or phone call. So, I call in and get a relatively rude customer service agent that explains it's due to arrive at their local facility that day and I should get get a call soon. Two days goes by and I get a call scheduling a delivery for the following week (a total of 3 weeks delivery time, one week late, and ZERO updates on any of that, but at least it was being delivered). The day of delivery arrives, I cleared my schedule for the 4 hour window they provided and I get a phone call bright and early from a representative. They explain to me the package is lost and they are looking for it but it wont be delivered today. I received a slight apology, no empathy, and very little assistance from the person who helped me - lead me to believe this happens a lot. I was told I would be contacted later in the day with an update. By the end of the day, still no phone call, so I call in myself. Once again, no apology, empathy, or concern and they tell me it still can't be found but will call me the following day after looking one last time for the massive package. The following day, no phone call AGAIN, so I call in myself AGAIN. When I call in, hopefully for the last time, the representative explains that it is officially lost and will put in a note to Sears - no apology whatsoever and a very, "no big deal" attitude (another red flag that his probably happens DAILY). The delay in declaring it lost made it more difficult for me to put in the order cancellation with Sears and more difficult to get the issue resolved. Overall, I will not be using Demar again, nor any company that uses them. I wouldn't have a problem with any of this if they just handled it better. I completely understand these things happen, but the fact that they could absolutely care less was just way beyond rude. I shouldn't have to lose my temper to get an apology or an immediate fix - the fact that I handled the situation with composure was not a sign that I wasn't angry. I would encourage anyone that is being assigned them as carrier to change that QUICKLY and if you cant, call them frequently to get updates on your package. They have a negative online presence for a reason, they have also been in business for 30 years and have 0 customer service awards or accolades, and the lack of surprise when they discovered my package was lost leads me to believe this happens a lot and/or it was stolen - regardless THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR DELIVERY, YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER TO THEM. read more

This "shipping company" is a disaster. They've had my couch for weeks now, and finally scheduled delivery for today - Thursday, 1/2/2014. I arranged to spend the day at home so I could be available to receive my couch, which was already late, during their giant time window of 1-6 pm. They actually call me after 1 pm - during the actual delivery time window - to tell me the couch is NOT COMING! Great, why don't I just go back in time and plan something else for today? And let me clear my schedule for tomorrow, so I can get it then. Oh, what's that, Demar Logistics? It's not coming tomorrow either?? Oh, the first day available after it's suppose to arrive late on a Thursday is... the following Monday? You know how real shipping companies give you a tracking number, and you can see where your package is? My tracking number, which I've been checking every day since my package became late, provides only this information: December 18: Received December 19: Shipped It's now January 2nd. Demar Logistics, your website refer to your "core competencies," but aren't you supposed to be a shipping company? I would therefore argue that you have no core competency. Yelpers: Whatever you do, don't ship through Demar Logistics. And do your very best not to buy anything from a company - a lowbrow company like K-Mart, for instance - that would ship through Demar instead of through a reputable, name-brand shipping company. read more

I know there are a lot of negative reviews for this company, which is why I was worried when I placed an order with Sears and discovered that it would be shipped via Demar. I needed the furniture by a particular time, and though Sears promised a certain date, I feared that Demar wouldn't be able to deliver on time. A couple things worked in my favor: 1) I live about 40 miles from the origin of delivery. As a result, I was able to schedule a delivery appointment fairly quickly. 2) Because I was following the tracking updates closely, I called Demar the day the tracking read, "shipped to delivery terminal." The lady asked if I wanted to schedule a delivery, I said yes, and the rest was smooth sailing. The only thing to note is that Demar never told me to call to schedule the delivery (since the furniture was already in the warehouse waiting to ship). So that lack of communication needs to be corrected by the company, but I have no complaints with the delivery itself and the customer service (no problems connecting to a live human being, who ended up being very helpful). Most importantly, I got what I needed on the day Sears had promised to deliver. read more

Wayfair...you blew it! The entire reason I will never order from Wayfair again is because I know i'll have to deal with Demar Logistics. The fact that a big company such as Wayfair would use such a terrible third party distributor is beyond me. This company is flat out awful. They delayed my Wayfair shipment three times and it took them almost a month to deliver. They don't pick up when you call and they certainly don't return calls either. Worst shipping company that I have EVER had the displeasure of having to deal with. I ordered a craftsman tool box (the box is 22.5" deep x 36" tall x 56" in length..... outside of the cardboard box So its quite large. It shipped on 11/14 and its now 12/18....... STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT!!! DEMAR CLAIMS THAT IT HAS BEEN LOST AND THAT "They are looking for it!" Most unorganized company that I've encountered! Hopefully they find my tool box SOON! I saw all the negative reviews so I wanted to share my positive experience. We bought an outdoor shed on Wayfair and this was the delivery company. We had a delivery window of 10:00-2:00 and they arrived at 11:00. They called me 15 minutes before they arrived. We had selected the basic outside drop-off but I asked them to put the boxes in the backyard and they obliged with no problem. Great experience! read more

This company sucks!!! I have an order thru Wayfair that Demar is responsible for delivering. They've had my order since Dec. 20 and never called me to schedule delivery. I had to get their number from Wayfair and call them myself to schedule. Scheduled delivery for Thursday, Jan. 2 and surprisingly their truck breaks down and I don't get the order. In the morning I get a call from Leo telling me my order will be delayed, but he won't say it's cancelled even though I specifically ask him if it's cancelled. So, I end up waiting at home all morning and no delivery. I call back and I'm told it's not coming. I ask Leo to schedule for 10am on Jan. 3 and Leo says no problem. Guess what?!!! Jan. 3 is here and now my order is not going to be here by 10am, but instead my window is now 12-2pm. I guess since it's a two hour window I should be happy. We'll see if it ever arrives. I've already told Wayfair I'm canceling the order if it doesn't arrive, b/c since Demar doesn't deliver on weekends it would require me to take time off work and cost me money. This is an epic fail if I've ever seen one!!! Avoid Demar if at all possible. I'll update once I get my order to let you know how it goes. UPDATE: Demar arrived at 1pm to make the delivery. There were four large boxes for my bed order, but somehow Demar managed to bring one box from someone else's order. So, I have three pieces of a bed sitting in my room, uninstalled while Demar searches their warehouse for the fourth box. These people are truly incompetent. Yes, I'm another unsatisfied customer. I placed an order with Walmart for a bed foundation/box spring. I specified a Monday delivery. Being 62 and living alone, I had to make arrangements with my son to have my bed assembled. The delivery man called me to ask which Tuesday would I like my delivery. I told him I don't have anyone here to help and he said they bring it into the home. I waited all day and at 6:00pm on Tuesday, my neighbor told me I had something outside. Bought an item from Wayfair.com who uses this carrier in the local Chicago area. They called me when the item arrived, but no message. When I logged into Wayfair, the tracking information stated that they left me a voicemail, which is not correct. When I called back, they have a recording that states their business hours are 8am - 5pm, but during their business hours, there is still an auto recording and no answer. After leaving a message, no one called me back. The next day, I realized after calling AGAIN during their business hours and getting a recording, that I'd need to keep calling until I reach someone, otherwise, I may never receive my shipment. Finally, when someone DID answer, they put me on hold. After being on hold, he rushed to get my tracking #, and sounded quite frazzled.. They seem to be understaffed. So, I discovered they have no Saturday delivery.. Only Mon-Fri during business hours, which is very inconvenient because I'd have to take off from work. .. UGH. Well, the shipment arrived within an hour of the stated time and no damage inside, although the exterior of the box was pretty beat up. read more

I ordered a table through Wayfair and it was with Demar for over a week. At no point did they call to schedule a delivery appointment. After I called them they said it would be delivered the next day between 8 am and 12 pm and that someone would be calling me with a specific time. I was having this delivered to my job...when I got to work the next day I received a call at around 7:30 am that the box is just randomly sitting outside the building at reception (not our receiving area). At no point did I receive a call that they were delivering so we have no idea how long it was sitting outside of the building. I'm confident that the box would still be with Demar had I not called. read more

I ordered a 5 piece dinette set online & my order summary showed that it would be delivered by the 20th of December. It offered the option of a much later date but I kept the date originally provided. I received emails from Sears stating that my order had been confirmed & shipped. Fast forward to the present & I have yet to receive my order. I checked out the Demar logistics link w/ my tracking number. The link provided no information about my order, let alone the simplest info such as my name & address. I called the customer service number, the dispatch number & warehouse number only to be told by a recording that they were closed & to leave a message. I understand that its the weekend which means some companies will either close early or not open at all but it's the HOLIDAYS & there should a least be a recording system to help customers track their orders, should the website malfunction. I do not like the idea of spending my entire day at home waiting for something that should have been here at a previous date! I ordered a piece of furniture from Wayfair and opted to pay for the "white glove" service which included delivery and assembly. They notified me that Demar Logistics would be the ones that would be handling my order. The one good thing I can say is they delivered on time. The rest of the experience was just unacceptable. After they delivered the furniture and started assembly, I was told that they were not aware of additional features that needed to be assembled. At first they said that they didn't bring the right tools. When I offered them tools to complete the task, they proceeded to say that they couldn't because it was not included in the service. I was instructed to call a number to make arrangements to get another technician to come in to finish the work. At this point, I have a partially and poorly built piece of furniture. I called the number and the person I spoke with said they would call Wayfair to straighten everything out. They promised that they would get back to me no later than end of day. Never received a call back. I had to work with Wayfair to resolve the issue. Thank goodness Wayfair actually has stellar customer service. They found me a reputable company who sent a capable technician who had to reassemble the entire thing. If you can avoid using this place, do it. read more

Do not use Demar Logistics out of Denver! I placed an order for a table tennis table through Sears because they guaranteed delivery by December 24. I placed my order on December 11. Demar called on December 20 and told me my delivery would take place on December 21. The driver arrived late in the day and called to tell us he could not get up our snowpacked road (although all commercial vehicles are required to carry chains for just this purpose). My husband arrived at the truck and Art the driver had no visible chains but said his chains had been "torn up"--yet where were they? He assured us our table would be delivered Monday, Tuesday the absolute latest. Demar did not pick up the phone between December 22-29. When they did answer a week later (although they did not respond to one of the 20 or so messages we had left) we were given excuses and reasons why they had not yet delivered anything Chad, a manager first said they weather had been why the driver could not get our house for the first attempt--and when my husband called him on it and explained that he had been at the delivery truck with his driver that day but he had not had chains he told him that the second truck had been in an accident and that is why it had not come. Yet, where is the table one might ask----still do not have it and have also not heard back from the company. DO NOT USE and any company that uses this trucking company. They are unreliable and blatantly lie! I have contacted the BBB about Demar. Heed the warnings you are reading and do not believe any postings that give five stars to a company that clearly does not care about the customer or customer service. read more

I ordered 5 items on 4/26/2014 from Wayfair which indicated these items should have been delivered on 5/2/2014. I then receive a follow up email that part of my order should have been delivered on 5/2/2014 and the other part on 5/13/2014, however I didn't receive my items until 5/22/2014 and they weren't even all delivered. The shipping delivery receipt shows all 5 items should have been delivered however we only received 3 out of 5 items. I contacted Demar Logistics, the shipping company, and they were supposed to look into the missing items, however I did not receive a follow up call. I then contacted Wayfair and they don't seem to know where these items are either. Every review on Demar Logistics is terrible, so it doesn't give me a positive feeling that I will receive the other 2 items any time soon. They probably delivered these items to any one of the previous deliveries they had prior to mine. This is absolutely unacceptable that neither Wayfair or Demar Logistics seem to be able to locate my items, don't they scan the items to know if they have everything that's listed on the order form/shipping confirmation? I was worried when I had read all of the negative reviews on here. I ordered a couch on Wayfair which was being delivered through this company. I did what others had done and called instead of waiting for a call about a delivery appointment. I was only on hold for a little while on the phone and delivery was scheduled for the next day between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Two men called me close to 12:00pm letting me know they were 30 minutes away. When they arrived they brought up the couch and took out all of the cardboard and plastic with them. It takes forever to reach anybody on the phone, and they were supposed to deliver a couch from Sears on a Thursday, and I didn't hear from them, so I called them. So we set up Friday instead from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nothing happened, so I called, and then it was 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nothing happened, so I called. Going to be later. So I waited. Nothing happened. 5:30 p.m. rolls around with NO updates before this. Couldn't the driver have at least texted me? They finally called me because their truck broke down in Palos Hills, not even in Chicago, where I live. I called Demar over the weekend and the following week and left messages. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. Then I got a call the following Thursday when I was on the plane to go on vacation, and they wanted to deliver my couch the next day. I had two parties the weekend following when I was supposed to have the couch delivered. I've wasted time on the phone, time waiting for my couch to be delivered, time calling this company. SO I had them credit my account for the delivery charge, and I have gotten a refund from Sears on my couch. read more

Ordered a living room set through Wayfair and was instructed that Demar Logistics would deliver the furniture. I received an email that they would contact me within 1 business day to arrange a delivery date. 2 days pass and I have not received a phone call or email. I call them the next day only to receive an automated message telling me to call back during business hours. Um....I already am. Finally after multiple tries I get a hold of someone and they thankfully setup a delivery date for the next day with a 10-2 window. The next day arrives and I receive a call at 1:30 that they will be there in 15 minutes which they do. The two people they have delivering the furniture were very inexperienced, lazy and rude. They complained about having to bring the furniture in through the back entrance instead of the front (furniture would not fit through the front entrance). When my father made a comment to please be mindful of the trim on the doorways they spoke back to him in a very unprofessional manner. I also paid for full assembly but they refused to attach the legs to all the sofas. Not a fun experience dealing with this company. You have to be proactive or else nothing will happen. I would give zero stars if possible. I cannot believe Wayfair continues to use this company! I am beyond frustrated and wish I could cancel my other orders (that I'm still waiting on, btw). Unfortunately, I cannot find replacements of the furniture items I ordered from Joss and Main & Wayfair anywhere else. Damar does not call and schedule a delivery time. They just chose a day/time window, and then I had to spend DAYS trying to speak to someone to change the date. When I finally changed the date, they ended up trying to deliver on another date completely (when I wasn't home to receive the furniture). So here we go again...I had to reschedule for a second time, and they miss THAT day. Even worse, they misplaced the item and couldn't reschedule until they found it. After rescheduling for a 3rd time, the finally delivered the furniture 3 hours after the quoted time period and with no warning call. We had to rush home to let them inside. Now to the best part. The furniture was damaged. They had no paper for me to sign noting the damage, so I was left to deal with a he said/she said situation with Joss and Main. In the end, Joss and Main ended up making things right...but now I have a replacement coming that Damar will have to deliver. This company is SUCH a mess! read more

On 9/16/14 I placed an order by phone (I ordered the Naomi White 7 Piece Modern Casual Dining Set). I received a confirmation via e-mail from you (please see below)........... I got a call on Monday, September 22nd from Veronica stating they had a dining set I ordered that they were going to deliver it on Thursday......I asked if I would be able to schedule the delivery for Saturday, September 27, 2014 she said it was fine and that the delivery would be between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. On Saturday, September 27, 2014 I received a call from a gentleman from Lykes Logistics at 9:46 a.m. from a cell phone number (210) 718-3021 he stated he had a delivery for me and wanted to know if I was home..........about 20 minutes later he arrived to let me know that the paperwork from Demar Logistics, Inc. stated that a 2 Men delivery was NOT authorized to deliver at CURBSIDE. I immediately try contacting Demar Logistics, Inc., to find out they were closed on Saturday (800)804-0177. The gentlemen called his office and spoke to a Melanie........she instructed him to do what the paperwork stated........deliver at CURBSIDE. I asked if I may speak to her, which I did and she said they were only doing what they were told by Demar Logistics, Inc. if they did anything more they would NOT get paid for it.......I asked her if it made any sense to even take an order from Demar Logistics, Inc. that had those delivery instructions and she said we are just doing what we were told.............she said I could either call Demar Logistics, Inc. or REFUSE the delivery.......I told her I did not stay home on a Saturday to not have the goods delivered. I told Melanie and the gentleman that was making the delivery that this was VERY unprofessional for BOTH companies Demar, Logistics, Inc. AND Lykes Logistics NOT to even call ahead of time and let me know how they managed their deliveries at CURBSIDE. I don't recall the day I placed the order choosing CURBSIDE DELIVERY.........I paid for the dining set to be delivered at my apartment NOT CURBSIDE. Since I was NOT notified ahead of time that the dining set was going to be delivered at curbside I did NOT make any arrangements to have a couple of friends come over to help me move it inside my apartment. I had to carry 3 (three) boxes each box contained 2 chairs each.......EACH box weight 38 lbs my back is KILLING ME (my back has been aching ALL day today Sunday, September 28, 2014) I REGRET accepting the order I should have just refused the delivery. read more

After reading the previous reviews, I was very worried about my upcoming delivery. It was a large entertainment center that included 5 large pieces. I was limited to just a couple of mornings a week that I could be home for delivery, and the company was very accommodating . If you order something from Wayfair and find out the shipping agent is Demar Logistics, you are better off cancelling the order. I placed my order Nov 8th, it arrived at Demar Logistics on Nov 12th, and was scheduled to arrive on Nov 14th. I was supper impressed with Wayfair and Demar Logistics by how fast everything was going. I received an email on Nov 14th saying they pushed the delivery date back to Nov 17th. Annoying, but whatever. Nov 17th comes around  - no call from Demar Logistics to let me know when they'd arrive, no email from Wayfair saying the delivery date was changed. I receive an email on Nov 19th saying there was a missed delivery attempt. At this point I'm mad because they never called to let me know they were at my apartment, and also, I instructed both Wayfair and Demar Logistics to leave the package if I wasn't home because it didn't require me to sign for it. I call Demar Logistics because I needed the table before Nov 21st. No one answers, so I leave a voicemail. I call Wayfair, and the woman I spoke to was super sweet but let me know their contract with Demar Logistics forbids them from making any contact with the shipping agent. Super sketchy, and there's nothing she can do for me. She advised me that since the shipping agent was so close to my home, I should be able to get it before the 21st. I call Demar Logistics, have to leave another voicemail, and I explain the situation and am very clear when giving my contact information. I haven't received any calls back from them, but today I got an email saying the new delivery date is Nov 30th. I was really excited about this cute table, but I am tired of dealing with this ongoing saga with the shipping agent. I'm planning on cancelling this order, asking for a refund, and I will not be ordering anything big from Wayfair ever again. read more

Too often people only write reviews for bad experiences so I feel compelled to write a review for my great experience. My delivery of a large dining room table from Wayfair used Demar. Someone from Demar called to make an appointment the day after receiving the furniture. They scheduled it for a 4 hour window that worked for me. The driver called me when he was 20 minutes out and arrived 1 hour into the time window they gave me. They were very professional and the box was in great condition. Couldn't ask for anything more from a delivery service. read more

Home Decorators also uses this logistics company ... it has been 6 weeks and still NO DELIVERY! I order a bookcase on October 14. It took quite some time to get the actual delivery scheduled, as they told me that they only come to my area every two weeks. So I settled on Sept 9th for delivery. No delivery. No one called. No one knows why they didn't show up. So I scheduled a delivery for Sept 23, took off work so I could be at home for the delivery. "The driver's truck broke down" and he won't be coming. Saying they can't get to me for another week. They did make "special arrangements" to deliver on Tuesday the 27th -- that is SIX WEEKS FOR DELIVERY, if they indeed show up. read more

This place is a JOKE!!! If I could rate it at a negative 10, I would! I cannot believe Costco uses this company. They are suppose to call you when they receive your shipment at their dock and arrange a delivery date and time. My package arrived on their dock on 11/30/2015. After several calls to Costco on 12/09/15 I finally got a call from Demar to arrange a delivery time. We agreed to deliver the package to my house on 12/10/15 between 5:00 & 9:00 PM. After reading the reviews I was pretty nervous. I purchased a couch from Wayfair in May. I was notified it would be getting delivered by Demar Logistics a month later. I waited by the phone for someone to call for 2 days but I ended up calling them (I've been waiting too long). I was transferred about 4 times then finally got someone who scheduled my delivery the next day between 10am-2pm. I received a call at 10:15am saying they will arrive in 30 minutes. The 2 guys were super nice! They were swearing in Spanish while struggling to make it to the 3rd floor lol. I had to add an additional staircase for only $5 more. read more

the item was ordered on October 7; we were given a October 18 delivery date; upon no delivery on October 20 we were told the order had not been given to Demar until October 11 and that the delay in pick up was the manufacturer's fault and were reassured delivery on October 25; tracking shows item at location on October 24@1:13 pm and pending delivery call; we were assured of that delivery call within 24-48 hours for delivery appointment; it is now October 26@1:39 pm and still no call; we called; Demar claims it is still within its time of 7-10 days; after being were told we had been assured of the call within 24-48 hours for delivery and that the pending call was now past the 48 hours and still nothing were simply told Demar was still within its 7-10 day time; we demanded the can be made so we could pick up the item ourselves; Demar said they could deliver on October 27@1-5 pm or we could pick it up by 4 pm today; we're our way to get it now. Absolute WORST delivery filled with excuses, lies, and failures. The USPS on holidays is better than Demar will ever be. read more
