Diner is close to the building where I work,l. there are several other diners in the area that are close and may be cheaper, but not with the smile , and the quality food and service. Been gone almost a year and even with my mask on the call me bu name and temper my order. Chris at the counter, pops in early to get the tastes just right. Best diner around here for sure. Tried a lot on the menu and all was really good or excellent. Can't beat the wait staff either. Very efficient whether you are dining in or taking away. I witnessed two gentlemen being kicked out by the restaurant manager today early this afternoon. One of the men had a service animal. The manager was shouting that the diner doesn't allow service animals. The staff went out of their way to try to humiliate the men, who left. One was an older man who might have been a vet. It was horrible. I felt so sorry for the men. I left. This is illegal and it's also just incredibly bad service not just to the old man but also to the rest of us in the diner witnessing the staff abusing patrons. I did not expect this and I was shocked and appalled. I will never go back. read more

As someone who rarely goes to new places, this place is amazing. First off, the customer service is outstanding, very friendly the staff. Me personally the coffee is amazing as well as the egg sandwiches. When it came to an issue with my order, they helped me out as much as they could. I work on Broad St so this was an easy find. I was a little skeptical about diner food but a resident in our building raves about it so i gave it a try. Fries are awesome! Salads always fresh and generous servings. My only complaint is that the linguine was over cooked for my chicken Alfredo. I would suggest leaving a note as to how you'd like your pasta cooked which is what I will do next time. But overall great food, service and what time. PS- they have a loyalty program which i love. This a little hidden gem. This great if you don't feel like waiting at Tops or this is closer. I always get the breakfast. Love the French toast -- not too sweet not too bland and a nice firm softness. Always a delight. I get pick up with yelp and it's always timely. I ordered through Yelp and my wrap was ready for me right at the expected time. It definitely doesn't seem like it from the outside but this is one of those down-home friendly diners when you walk in. I tried the California Chicken Wrap. I initially started out thinking that I'd go for something more healthy but was also tempted by bacon. What else is new? You could totally remove the bacon (and possibly the cheese) for a healthier option. The wrap was huge and super-filling, so much so that I didn't really even eat dinner that day. In typical diner fashion, the menu is pretty huge with lots of options from pasta to wraps to salads. Will definitely be a return customer! read more

The food has been delicious thus far, particularly the pasta with olive oil, shrimp, and garlic (I asked them to add spinach and broccoli, both of which were perfectly cooked and an awesome addition). Keeping in mind that this place is only a Newark 5-star place it is fantastic. First and foremost the delivery is probably the best in Newark, which from almost anywhere else is abysmal. Beyond the delivery, I have eaten here a lot and have thoroughly enjoyed everything I have had and look forward to trying more menu items. I was thoroughly impressed by the food. Cliché statement, I know, but the food was impressive. I am glad that this diner has reopened and in business. Initially I walked by on my way to Newark Penn Station (which is about 10 minutes from this location), however, what attracted me was the breakfast special. I purchased the two eggs alongside bacon, home fries or grits, and toast (your order comes with your orange juice and coffee or tea). Yes, I said it: you get orange juice alongside coffee or tea! All for $7! Customer service was superb. The waitress was extremely pleasant, and the Head Cook came out to check on all the customers to see if the food was great. Average diner, but a welcomed addition in the Newark business district. Not many brunch options in the area except for Tops which is unparalleled, but always has a long line. My blueberry pancakes were good! 3 to an order, average sized. Maple syrup is served in the plastic containers which was a little bit of a turnoff honestly, but it did the job. BFF had the Newark single pancake with scrambled eggs and bacon, which she asked to have substituted for fruit, but they were unable to accommodate. Just went with the family to the Newark Performing Arts Center for a graduation and were looking for a great breakfast spot to kill an hour or so. We found this diner and were so happy to find such a clean, solid place. Our server, Melissa, was extremely kind and attentive and made sure to check on us frequently. We all got breakfast specials which included many different options, and all came with juice and coffee. All in all it was an A+ and we enjoyed our time very much.
