    Breakfast Deluxe

Highly recommended this restaurant located in 561 Broad St, downtown Newark, NJ. The food menu has a great variety of choices and breakfast is served all day. I was genuinely surprised by the hospitality and attentiveness service of the staff. Paloma was phenomenal, she was very friendly and very helpful. I ordered the breakfast deluxe with pancakes, it came with sausage and bacon. The pancakes were fluffy and had a wonderful texture, the bacon was crispy and perfectly cooked. I couldn't decide if I needed coffee because it was very hot outside but I ended up ordering it. I'm so glad I did because it was great. This dinner is very nice inside, clean and organized. An overall wonderful brunch!!

one of my favorite places to eat when near the Rutgers campus. Staff are very welcoming and accommodate your every need, and not to mention God himself is always in the kitchen when I order the chocolate chip pancakes, one of the best truly

Our first stop on our trip and thought it looked so cute. The booths are super tiny tho! We were starving from our red eye flight so ordered right away the coffee was good and the hot chocolate was amazing. Idk if it's bc we were sooo hungry or everything just tastes that much better on the east coast. The waitress was nice, not very chatty and we are really chatty especially while traveling. Everything was super good, the omelettes were huge! And the pancakes were so fluffy and soft! I like my eggs over hard and they came out perfect. Once the bill came we were a surprised bc it was a little pricey for breakfast. It was about $120 But the food was great!

Very nice small diner, looks nice inside and clean. The hot chocolate was perfect, the food was delicious and came out very quickly. The omelette didn't come with ham but when I asked it wasn't a problem so that was a nice addition. The service was great, people were friendly and I would definitely save this place and come again.

Driving through from NYC to Philly looking for the quintessential diner when we discovered this beauty in Newark. It was everything we hoped it would be. Breakfast served all day, strong coffee and an expansive menu allowing options for all. My breakfast sandwich of Taylor ham on hard roll was everything it should be. Service was efficient and pleasant and the ambiance was all old school.

Super clean and super friendly staff. Quintessential eastern diner. We ordered Nutella French toast with strawberries, a side of scrambled eggs, a Denver omelette and a coffee. Coffee was excellent. The the French toast was perfectly cooked and fresh strawberries were used along with Nutella. The omelette was big for the price and was perfectly mixed and cooked. The potatoes were amazing. This diner was phenomenal in all aspects we experienced. Would highly recommend and seems to be a short distance from most hotels in the area.

Breakfast food was what it was, breakfast. The space was clean, only issue is the front of the diner was warm as there was no air condition in the front where I sat. There were only two waitresses working and the place was pretty busy. This caused our waiter to forget a few things for our order. The gentleman greeting folks before seating, lets just say he's not the friendliest. He had no affect and he's very curt. Just observing him interacting with guests was not pleasant. Prices were reasonable.

It was me and my Gfs first time going and we LOVED IT!!! The service was great and very welcoming, the wait was short sat down right away and food came out no longer than 10min. We ordered the country omelette and Nutella and banana French toast! 100/10 Can't wait to come back!

My roommates and I were craving breakfast and we saw this place had good reviews. The menu was extensive. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. They also have a kids menu. As I am a vegetarian, I decided to stick with breakfast. I got a bagel with cream cheese and chocolate pancakes. I also got a ginger tea to go along with my food. I thought the service was okay, she just took our orders and dropped off our check. I maybe used to the southern hospitality. But it's a cute diner overall. I went back the next day to get another order of the pancakes because they were so yummy!!

My husband ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk, rich and comforting, and my mom had a chai with oat milk. She enjoyed the flavor overall. Food-wise, my husband ordered the chorizo omelette and was very happy with it--hearty, well-seasoned, and satisfying. I had the salmon salad, which was delicious. The dressing was balanced and flavorful, the greens fresh, and the salmon was cooked and seasoned really well. I will note that the salmon portion was a bit smaller than what I'd seen in some Yelp photos, but the quality absolutely made up for it. My mom had the club sandwich, which was generously sized and filling. She also wasn't a fan of the soft-boiled egg that came with her dish, but that's more a personal preference--she's firmly in the "well-done only" camp. Our little one had eggs and fries and was clearly living her best life. A sweet highlight of the visit was when the owner kindly gave her a cookie on the house--such a small gesture, but it really made the experience feel warm and personal. The space itself feels like a true community gathering spot--comfortable, welcoming, and easy to settle into. It's a great place to work or linger, with free WiFi and a relaxed atmosphere that invites you to stay awhile. Overall, this spot feels cozy, thoughtfully run, and rooted in care. The chorizo in the omelette was really tasty and the potatoes were crispy and flavorful. But for me, there was too much cheese on top -- almost like eating a pizza! Great at first bite, but gets a bit heavy towards the end. Still, if you love quirky spaces and brunch plates that feel homemade, it's worth a stop.

The ambiance is cheerful and inviting, it transported us to a warm island day for our brief stay. It seems there was only one barista working that day and she was very helpful, patient, and friendly. My husband ordered the Cremas Latte and oh my god I wish I got it, it was so delicious; creamy, flavorful and sweet. I ordered the iced toasted almond "hot" chocolate, it was a very rich dark chocolate taste with the amaretto flavor coming through nicely. It was not overly sweet which I enjoyed. I think this is how hot chocolate was meant to taste and I'll be curious to try it hot. I also appreciated that there was some of my drink that didn't fit in the cup, so the barista gave it to me in another cup. My son ordered a Golden Mango Smoothie- he loved it! I love that it has turmeric in it, I felt good letting him have this drink. We also got some snacks. We ordered the Haitian beef patties which were very authentic. You get two per order which was a nice surprise. My son wanted to eat all 4 from our two orders. We also ordered a mini chocolate cake which was decadent and moist and a mini key lime pie which was refreshing and delicious! It was really nice being able to go to a Haitian cafe.
