First things first their meat sauce is very good! It reminds me of the sauce I make at home which is very good. However, we ordered their pizza tonight for dinner and I have to say it was the greasiest pizza I have had in my life. Needless to say, I had really bad stomach pains and had to go to the bathroom immediately after getting home! I hate when that happens! We have not ruled this restaurant out yet only because we love the meat sauce. We will come back to order Italian dishes on the menu and see how well that tastes. We got a side of meat sauce and ranch to dip the yummy breadsticks. We absolutely loved the breadsticks and meat sauce.

I realize that it's been many years since dining at Deluca's restaurant. It still looks the same as I remember. Decidedly, too much time has passed since my last visit. I was there for a group event and they served their delicious antipasto salad, homemade breadsticks, Mostaccioli and pizzas. Even with the preset menu, it was all really tasty with great flavors! The sauce, although simple, was rich with a deep traditional taste. This place has been in business for decades and that homemade essence shines through. I plan to return to order many more dishes and have the full experience.

The quality of the food was amazing.the ribs are good. The pasta is out of this world and the prime rib is wonderful! Every server is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The chairs and tables while a bit dated are sturdy and clean. We love this place and are working our way through the wonderful menu!!

Service was quick. Rolls were hot. Meal of prime rib, mashed potatoes and broccoli and salad. Ribs, lasagna, corn, baked potato and soup. Everything was hot and delicious although the chicken noodles soup was brand. We got 2 mini cannelloni were delicious. Ate one before taking pic.

From the outside, the building doesn't exactly scream "5-star seafood" -- I think it may have been an old Pizza Hut -- but don't let that fool you. Inside, it's cute, a little kitschy, and most importantly, clean!! There wasn't any type of fishy smell at all! The husband-and-wife owners are absolutely working their tails off, and it shows. The service was warm, attentive, and truly top-notch. You can feel how much pride they take in what they do. We each ordered crab boils and didn't leave a single thing in the bag -- every bite was incredible! Some of the most delicious seafood I've ever had. I almost hesitate to share this hidden gem because I selfishly want it all to myself, but they deserve every bit of recognition. We can't wait to go back and are definitely adding this spot into our regular restaurant rotation!

Not always the cleanest place but always good food, with big good shrimp. Now you have new owners, some Caldean or Arabs have taken over. Sorry not meaning to offend, but I don't know the difference. Its been maybe a year. So any reviews before this don't apply. So first the food. I come mostly for the shrimp. At first it sucked. The shrimp were all stuck together, at one point they were butterfly shrimp, again all stuck together, don't get it. I stopped coming for a few months. Came back the middle of Oct, ordered half a pound of shrimp and 5 wings about 2 in the afternoon. They said 15 min. I arrive in 15 minutes. My shrimp was done but the guy says another 5 minutes for the chicken. I told him never mind it you haven't dropped the chicken, I don't want to wait. He got an attitude, now I though the chicken hadn't been dropped and didn't want to wait. It had been dropped and I was willing to wait but DID NOT LIKE HIS ATTITUDE AND WAS QUICK TO TELL HIM, DON'T GET AN ATTITUDE WITH ME. Still there was no other orders so why was my chicken not done with my shrimp. They changed from a cardboard box, to Styrofoam. Everybody knows that the box keeps the shrimp Christy and the Styrofoam makes the shrimp sweat and get soft ans sweaty. So I had to wait on the chicken while my shrimp got sweaty. Ok we have coved the food and the service. The ambiance is starting to look better. They have put in new refer units and some monitors which are not on yet but I guess are coming soon. So back to the food. So next week the fresh fish house up the street a little had on Wednesday one pound of jumbo shrimp for 16.99. The shrimp are small and one pound of their jumbo shrimp does not even compare to a half pound of really jumbo shrimp from redford fish, look at the photo from redford I included. So all and all the shrimp has come back to not being stuck together and is still quite good. Basically they are coming along, I gave a 3 star because the guy behind the register has no social skills. And no matter what happens you need to remember that here in America the customer is always right. Not to mention that here in Detroit, if you give attitude you'll get attitude and loose the customer. I still will go there so long as they keep the shrimp the way it is. But if you can't deal with the public, you will loose customers. And bring back to cardboard boxes to keep the shrimp Christy and save the landfills of tha Styrofoam that hangs around for years. Now look at the half pound of jumbo shrimp and when you go to fresh fish house you'll see its better and bigger here.

The menu choices are abundant here but I had to go for a boil watching the steaming stacks of inflated bags going to other tables. The boil options are vast and range from $16 to $121 depending on what floats your boat. I decided on the Shrimp 1/2 pound boil with garlic butter sauce, mild spice, corn-on-the cob and (2) potatoes. I got the shrimp with sweet potato fries and a appetizer of hush puppies. Others got the boils and clam basket. None of us was impressed. The breading on the shrimp was heavy and dry. I will admit that it tasted better warmed up the next day. The sides were huge and shareable. The service was friendly when there. The music was almost too loud for table talk. Some dining experiences are so memorable they deserve to be recognized, and this was definitely one of them. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a special evening. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and energetic--the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable meal. The food was absolutely delicious, delectable, and beautifully prepared. The menu offered an incredible variety of choices, and everyone in our party found something they thoroughly enjoyed. Every dish reflected the care, creativity, and excellence of the kitchen. Our server, Carly, was phenomenal. She was attentive, personable, and always seemed to appear just when we needed something. She anticipated our needs, made excellent recommendations, and ensured our dining experience was seamless from beginning to end. What truly elevated our evening was Executive Chef Jay. Several members of our party had special dietary restrictions, and Chef Jay personally came to our table to understand exactly what was needed. Rather than simply modifying an existing menu item, he created an entirely new dish specifically for one member of our group. It was absolutely superb! His willingness to go above and beyond demonstrated not only extraordinary culinary talent but also genuine compassion and a sincere commitment to making sure every guest had an exceptional dining experience. The supporting wait staff also deserves recognition. They were friendly, attentive, and constantly kept our table cleared of dishes and unnecessary utensils without ever interrupting our conversation. Their teamwork and professionalism were evident throughout the evening. In today's world, it is rare to find a restaurant where every member of the team is so committed to excellence. Black Label Tavern delivered outstanding food, impeccable service, and heartfelt hospitality. Carly, Chef Jay, and the entire staff made us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. Thank you for giving us such a magnificent dining experience. This may have been our first visit, but it certainly will not be our last. If you're looking for exceptional food, first-class service, and people who genuinely care about their guests, I wholeheartedly recommend Black Label Tavern. Bravo to the entire team!
