What I didn't like about this office was how much they push sales. When I was getting fitted for glasses I just wanted to get what the insurance would completely pay for-which was one pair of frames on the rack. I didn't want any of the extra add-ons or insurance and even after saying no it was continuously repeated to me. I get that it's their job to sell but if I say I don't want it, I don't want it. I also had retinal imaging done while I was there and I was informed that it wasn't covered by the insurance, it was a $30 charge. I had it done and as I was sitting with the optician my break down of benefits that she had in front of her very clearly stated that retinal imaging was covered under my plan. They still charged me and said that they will bill my insurance for the procedure but it wasn't a covered service. I later spoke to my insurance and they did confirm that the break down of benefits was correct and that I shouldn't have been charged for the imaging. A few days after the appointment I called my insurance to make sure that the retinal imaging was billed, and the office left it off the claim. The office in turn lied when they said they would still bill my insurance. The office staff also gave me a problem when I asked for my pupillary distance and my frame measurements. I understand that they want the patients to order frames through their office, but in the event that I need to replace my glasses, I will not pay the hundreds of dollars when there are much more affordable ones online and a much wide seThe patient has every right to obtain their own information and the office can't withhold it for their own benefit.

She continues to display the utmost professionalism, expertise, honesty, and if needed empathy. We always leave our visit knowing she has the best interest in the well being our vision. Additionally, the staff is and always has been fantastic. "Moddi" continues to be an expert in helping us pick out just the right glasses for our face frame... We were extremely apprehensive to attend our visit during Covid 19, as I am an OSHA Safety Trainer as well as an Educator in Infection Control Practices, I unconsciously watch to see if everyone is following guidelines. Needless to say, this office practice was spot on and received a 100. The door was locked and only patients who had an appointment were allowed to enter. The entire office was immaculate, seats and touch areas were immediately washed after use. Masks all worn properly, hands washed, touch surfaces such as countertops were washed, glasses that were tried on were sanitized, equipment washed in front of us prior to use. As politely as I can say this.....never, EVER again!!!! Last 6 months have been so difficult…read more Insurance issues. They never bothered to submit to insurance (never told me) and when I was due to pick up glasses they told me I could get the frames now and the lenses in a year! Of what benefit is that? It took an entire day for ME, without their help, never disclosing they failed to submit to insurance and were deceptive about ordering glasses three weeks prior, to straighten this entire mess out. An unbelievable nightmare. They finally submitted to insurance and immediate coverage of course but I had to wait an additional three weeks for glasses to come in for a total of six weeks unable to see. They never offered to expedite. Then the glasses come in and I can not see a thing through them. I was told to keep wearing and get used to them. Could NOT see. Had horrible headaches from straining to see. Then the final visit for a lens prescription change when the frustrated doctor changed the exam lenses so fast that vertigo was brought on snapping at me "which one you see better" and my ability to answer because I could not either. I just guessed to stop him from snapping at me. Finally I could not take it anymore, gave up, left in tears NEVER to return EVER again! They were good upon initial opening. Now it is incredibly difficult and I truly do not want to leave this bad review but hopefully the Dr and the VERY, VERY rude staff will understand there is very real problem that needs to be addressed. Customer service is horrendous. Horrendous! Now I know why. If the doctor is snappy of course the staff would be the same and incredibly incompetent as well. I hope they can fix their issues, I truly do. As long as nobody messes up they are adequate however if there is an issue you are in for one heck of a long, impossible nightmare.

I am a Type 2 Diabetic & on Medicare. I called Medicare & they said Medicare will pay because I am a diabetic. I set up a 3 way conversation with Medicare & Pam & Medicare told her they will pay because I'm a diabetic. Pam insisted that Medicare won't pay for the eye refraction. I left & went to another Eye Doctor & I was told that Medicare does pay for Diabetics. I am so happy I made the change.
