Apparently the carwash got a system upgrade. The Super-Lane Kiosk (the one where "All you can wash" subscribers go through) used to present the following options: - Do not add any extras - RainX - Tire Dressing - Body Gloss And then some others I wasn't really ever interested in. At any rate, today that list shrunk to: - Do not add any extras - Add RainX, Tire Dressing, Body Gloss. I hate it if businesses try to nudge me into buying stuff I don't want by bundling options together. Moreover, I do NOT ever want RainX. Now I have to buy it whether I like it or not, if I want any of the other options I am interested in. And, compared to before, spend more money. So, begrudgingly I selected the "Add RainX, Tire Dressing, Body Gloss", thinking to tell the drying attendant to hold the RainX, making a note to self to update my review. Side Note: As my car was being dragged through the car-wash, I noted a sign "Tire Dressing", which remained unlit. Strange, I thought. Outside, as usual, I presented my receipt to the drying attendant, who politely explained that all the extras now happen automatically within the car-wash. I asked how the car-wash knows how to apply the extras. She didn't know. A manager came over and explained that the operator at the entrance has a monitor that tells him what to do, and to apply the extras. When I asked whether the unlit "Tire Dressing" sign that I noticed is an indication that no extras got applied, the manager confirmed. I was offered to go around again to get my extras, which I declined. (Possibly shouldn't have. But I don't want to go around, back in line, in circles to fix others' mistakes). Notice, with the old "manual" system, it was easy to quality control: If I ever saw that a drying attendant missed to apply an extra, which was obvious, all I had to do is ask about it. Long story short: - Car wash all you can wash is a great deal. The car wash performs basic function. 4 Stars. - Un-useful product upgrade: Product bundling forces me to an all-or-nothing selection, I can no longer pick and choose. What's worse, I now have to buy an option I don't want. -3 Stars. - The product upgrade does not work. I did not receive the product purchased. -3 Stars. - That said, I did not want to get any RainX. AND I DID NOT GET ANY!!!! I suppose that deserves a +1 Star. - Since the car comes out clean, and I'll always have the opportunity to not purchase any of the extras, whilst being able to get all-I-can-wash for subscription pricing, that makes this still an A-OK car wash. It's just that the differentiation to "awesome" is now gone. In summary: I am surprised to have written this much about a car-wash; I guess this is an indication of the magnitude of my disappointment, and how much I liked how it used to be. I will probably not ever buy any extras again, but apply them at home instead. This way I know it worked, and I don't have to pay money for something that I don't want. Not only are the car washes both interior and exterior very reasonably priced they also usually have the cheapest gas prices too! No matter how many gas pumps there seems to be (which is lots) this place is always busy and people waiting to fill up or get through the car wash. Alex, the supervisor, not only refused to help me, he said I was giving him a hard time. I remained calm and explained it wasn't something I needed this minute but when he had time. I had no way to get there and requested that he email this. He flatly refused, said there was no one else there who could help me, including the manager of the Delta and abruptly hung up on me. I called over to Main Street Delta and the supervisor there was very accommodating, and said he would take of it, no problem. I think his name was Justin. My service record showed 8 oil changes at Delta in the last few years - lots of business (not to mention all the car washes). But my experience with Alex is disappointing so I will not be spending money at Delta again. read more

I showed up on the last day to use a Groupon for an interior detail. The voucher recommended an appointment--now I know why! Depending upon how dirty the vehicle is, the detailing could take 2-3 hours. The supervisor, Drew, was extremely accommodating and offered me a few choices as to when to have the work done. Knowing I could not stay all afternoon, he fit my car into their schedule and even assigned 2 staff members to it to expedite the process. The car (2015 Subaru) came out looking like I had just picked it up from the dealer. They did not need to go out of their way for me--especially for a reduced cost service. I know, I know, I got careless with locking it because I've had my car broken into so many times I figured I could save my glass, leave nothing at all in the car, and let the douchebags have their rifle-through. Did not anticipate coming out to find the seat reclined and reeking of piss, BO, and general ain't-showered-in-weeks stench. Every place I called for an interior wash was booking weeks out so I damn near fell on my knees when this Delta Sonic had an opening in a couple days. And they did a fabulous job, thank GOD. It wasn't cheap, but that car looked brand new inside after they had it for a couple hours. Closest Delta Sonic to me, but also my favorite. Unlike the trainwreck of a layout like the Maple/NFB and North Buffalo locations, you can actually maneuver around in your vehicle without wanting to rip your eyeballs out. There is actually space to move! I mean, the place basically takes up a city block, but it's worth it when you compare to some of their other locations. I also find this location to me, for the most part, much less crowded than the other locations. I'm not sure if it's the proximity to the Eastside, or what? But it's on such a major thoroughfare that I'm always surprised that it doesn't ever seem as busy. I usually only find myself waiting a few minutes to get through the carwash line unlike the, what feels like, 20-30 minute ordeal at other locations. I decided to give them a try after reviewing the mixed reviews. Not only did I not get the discount price on the gas + car wash, they also did not do a good job of washing my car. Avoid this place at all costs. After paying for the basic wash, I drove into the car wash and was greeted by not just one, but TWO people using power washes to remove bugs off of my car. They were barely standing 2 feet from my car. This is a big NO NO because it can easily strip the paint off your car. I was fortunate enough to not have any damage to my car, my friend however had paint stripped off his front bumper. After the quick 5 minute drive home, I looked at my car to discover that only some of the bugs had been washed off. I was able to flick the bug parts off. Not only that, the roof of the car by the roof rack was still covered in dirt. Lesson of the day: do not go to this delta sonic, they will attempt to use power washers to clean bugs off your car but fail to do so while possibly damaging your car in the process. read more

I recently had a scheduled interior cleaning at this location. I drive a compact car, a hatchback. The supervisor of this location wanted to charge me an additional $20.00 fee for a "SUV or van" cleaning surcharge. I refused because my car is not an SUV or van. The supervisor replied "if its such a big deal I'll just take it off." Well, yes. I am not going to pay an additional $20 on an already expensive service for something that is not needed. Anyway, annoying but ultimately not a big deal. I picked up my car 6 or so hours later. It looks very nice. Good job to those who cleaned it. However, I soon realize all my change left in the car was gone - maybe a dollar or so of loose change. Again, annoying but whatever. Take the tip I suppose. But then, I realize my nice snow brush is also missing. Really disappointing. Just be aware to take all your change and valuables before getting an interior clean. And stick-up for yourself so your small car is not classified as an SUV or van. read more

I visit this Delta Sonic location along with another one on Delaware avenue for gas and a wash. We usually get a wash at the Delaware location but we were closer to this one and needed the car washed badly. Never had any issues at that location with washes. After this experience however I will however never visit any Delta Sonic location ever again for washing my car. I will also never give Delta Sonic gift certificates again. We went through the car wash two times. The belts do not pull the car forward?!?! The employees were shouting and waving us forward, but we didn't pay attn at first because shouldn't the belts pull you forward? So after driving through, the power washers were basically right up next to our car. I started to freak out but only didn't because my husband didn't and he's gone through more washings than me. Next we went through the rest of the wash (I'm not sure if the belts worked at this point to pull us through). We then pull up to have our side mirrors cleaned and the rest of the car dried. The male employee was kind and right enough to tell us that the whole front of the car was still dirty. WHAT?! So we got out and looked and the car is still covered in bugs and dirt on the front, sides and top of the car. He said just tell them and they'll let you go through. We rolled up to where the start is and told the employee there and he reluctantly let us through. So we drove on through again to the first station, and waited. Nothing happened like it was supposed to. The employees are waving and hollering at us to keep driving. OK I guess were not washing the car again...Again the power washers were way too close. This time they did go around the whole car instead of just my side. Proceeded to go through the rest of the wash. At this point we were so annoyed at the treatment that we just drove off the lot and left. Later at home we looked at the car. Still DIRTY and I noticed that a tiny rock/pebble was pushed through the paint of the car from the power washers. How do I know? Because the pebble left a little trail and was still embedded in the car. We're never going here for a wash again and the only reason I do continue to come here is because the gas is the cheapest, and I do not need to deal with employees. I'd rather wash my car myself in the freezing winter than go through a Delta Sonic wash again. read more

I'm extremely pro-business, and where at all possible, I look for the **GOOD or GREAT** attributes of the various businesses that I frequent, and if at all possible, I want to give them 5 star ratings (above in the interests of full disclosure). Long story short, my daughter who lives locally in Buffalo just bought a car in California. My wife and I made the 2600+ mile drive over from SoCal to here to deliver her car to her. Obviously, after such a long road-trip, the car **REALLY** needed a heavy-duty cleaning job, both inside and out. The Main Street Delta Sonic was close by to home and it's a very large operation / facility, what with a gas station with multiple pumps, a complete car wash for both exterior and interior cleaning options, quick oil change / lube & mechanics unit, as well as a convenience store with prepared food (ie, pizza, sandwiches, etc) options. As other reviewers have mentioned, Delta Sonic seems to generally have one of if not THE LOWEST gas prices around. Additionally, if you get a car wash at the same time you buy gas, you get a discount of 3 cents off per gallon. When we went there yesterday afternoon for gas and to get the car washed, regular U/L gas was $3.69 per gallon, and with a car wash, was discounted down further to $3.66 per gallon. Most of the other gas stations we saw during our drive around the city taking care of errands were in the mid $3.70's range and higher. Ok, we needed to get gas and the car was dire need of cleaning - both inside and out , and Delta Sonic looked like a great choice to take care of both. We went inside and the very nice (and patient) young lady / clerk explained to me all of their various (and numerous) options in terms of the "different package" available for car washes. I paid for the package I selected and the gas, and proceeded to gas up. After the gas, we drove through the lane that took the car (with us inside!) through the section that did the exterior car wash. Once we got through that, we drove around to the section where the attendants would clean the interior of the car. THIS was when we had the ONE NEGATIVE experience that caused me to give this ONLY a 4-star review instead of what could have very easily been a glowing, 5-Star one. When you pull your car to the area where the interior is cleaned, they have you get out of the car, and you can go inside to a windowed section and watch as they go through the process of cleaning your car. Once you exit your car, one of the employees will then drive the car onto the large conveyor belt/track which then moves the car through the building and various stationed employees who attend to the multitude of cleaning, wiping, vacuuming tasks, etc. that are involved in cleaning a car's interiors. In the case of our car, because of the log-jam of other cars ahead of it on the conveyor belt / track, the employee left it just at the entrance to the building, just before the conveyor belt starts. That's fine. The guy that moved the car up got out of the car and left the driver's side door open - basically so that when the conveyor belt had moved the other cars up enough, he or another attendant could just get back in to then move the car onto the track. Normally, that would've been fine and not a big deal. However, yesterday - when the guy left our car door open, and walked away, within a couple of minutes it started to ***RAIN** really hard! The guy that walked away was no where to be seen. However, there was another employee, a young woman, who was standing right at the area where our car was. As the rain started **POURING DOWN** and with the driver's car door **OPEN**, I looked at her, thinking that any second now, her "COMMON SENSE" would kind of kick in and she would walk over to CLOSE the open door.....right? Well, apparently COMMON SENSE was something this young gal had a deficiency of cuz she just stood there, basically doing nothing but staring into space!!! ***FINALLY***, after about almost a minute had gone by and she didn't seem like she was going to do diddly squat, I had to open the door (between the customer observation area) and shout / wave at her and point at the open car door and the VERY OBVIOUS fact that the interior of our car was getting drenched before she finally saw fit to walk the 10 feet it took to get to the car and close the door. This gal was fairly young - maybe barely early 20's - so I'm going to give her a pass and chalk up her behavior and lack of in-attentiveness to just her being young - although in truth that's not being fair because there are hosts of young people much younger than her that I **KNOW** would have had the good common sense to have been self-motivated enough had they been in her position to have just walked over and closed the door. Hopefully, some management types will see this review and see fit to provide **BETTER TRAINING** for their young (mostly) employees. read more

Greetings to all Delta Sonic customers, I'm a proud owner of a 2012 BMW. On March 12, 2015, I had my headlights restoration done for $49.00 plus tax. I had this done not due to any discoloration or damage but for protection with a clear coat of acrylic. I made this decision because to prevent any future discoloration if that happens. Anyway... After the first service, I return because I was not satisfied with the outcome. I had them re-do it. Now the second visit, Again I was not satisfied. This time the headlights was seriously damage. I returned to show the shattered look to my right headlight and smudge mark to the left. When I filed a complaint they took a video of the headlights on May 4, 2015. I received there letter and read there findings on May 12, 2015. It stated, "We have thoroughly investigated the circumstances concerning the incident you reported. Base on our findings, it appears the problem did not occur due to any negligence on the part of Delta Sonic. Our pre-service inspection video shows the damage to the headlights was present prior to the service" I asked to see the video which was recorded the day of the claim, May 4, 2015. On May 8, 2015, they showed me an unclear video from a laptop when I filed the claim on May 4, 2015. I asked to see the video prior to my first service. He sated that due to thousands of customers, they delete all recording after 60 days. My first service was done on March 12, 2015. My claim was was made on May 4, 2015. I reviewed the video on May 8th with the VP, Director of dealing and his name is Chris with over 20 years experience on detailing vehicles. Do the math... It was stated that there retention of all vehicles entertaining the shop is 60 days, afterwards they delete the record. If you count the number of days, you'll see that I'm within the 60 day period and that they should of been able to product the recoding of my vehicle entering there shop. My advice to all Delta Sonic customers, find another car wash or go to your local dealer. read more

This is my favorite Delta Sonic location for several reasons: 1. They have a strong commitment to the phrase, "Satisfaction Guaranteed." I paid extra for a salt extraction and though they didn't get it all during the first go, each team member I interacted with was very apologetic and worked diligently to get it out. They didn't make excuses, just wanted me to walk away a satisfied customer. The Detail Shop manager told me that if after 3 return trips and they can't get it out, they would refund the original amount I paid. You might think, "Oh, this just means their service sucks." I've gotta say, there was a bunch of salt in my car's interior due to the crazy winter we just had. Other locations I've gone to in the past have straight up told me I needed to get an interior detail if I expect a deeper cleaning so kudos to this location. 2. Attention to detail. The devil's in the details; seriously. I hardly ever have to have them go over an area a second time because they missed it during the first pass. Additionally, this location has never wiped the inside of my windshield with an exterior wipe rag. Glass rag is for glass, exterior rag is for exterior. Another location wiped the inside of my windshield with an exterior rag and boy, no/low visibility due to the glare coming from the inside of my car made my commute EXTRA FUN. 3. Their gas prices are usually lower than in Amherst. 4. The car wash lines are usually not terribly long. 5. Free Wi-Fi that works. 6. Proximity to Allentown and Elmwood Village. I get my car washed and/or get gas on my way to or from Allentown and don't have to go out of my way. read more

Went to Delta Sonic today expecting relatively good service considering the number of reviews that were written. Unfortunately this place does not take very good care of your car. My car was washed with power washers from a distance of less than half a foot. As a result, the paint was stripped off the bumper of a brand new car. On top of that, the bugs were not even washed off the hood of the car. It looked as if the car wasn't even washed. On the plus side, the people are generally quite nice. However, the quality of service is subpar. Given that this was my first visit and the paint was stripped off the bumper, I will not be coming back anytime soon. This is my place to go for gas and a great car wash. They have the cheapest gas prices in Buffalo, usually 5 or 6 cents below the normal around town and if you purchase a car wash too they take an additional 3 cents off each gallon of gas. This place is the one stop deal, which I like the most about it. I can wash and fill up my car in the morning and grab my morning coffee and something light to eat all in one stop. They also have a great monthly rate on unlimited car washes. Negatives are seems like the place is always busy or crowded especially on a sunny day after the Winter months , and the local bums always try to get money off me when I am filling my tank. read more

I came to Delta Sonic for the 30 minute car cleaning. Needless to say they were done in 20 minutes. Back windows were not cleaned, back seat was not vacuumed, trunk was not vacuumed and the floor around the front seats were not vacuumed. When I asked to have it vacuumed the vacuum was not suctioning properly after several minutes of her fumbling with the vacuum I cut my losses. Unfortunately I didn't notice the Windows until I got to work. My dogs nose marking are all over the Windows. I'm am so unsatisfied. Never again what a waste of $32.61 UPDATE: I did go back to Delta Sonic after work that same day and my car was cleaned properly but it should have been done correctly the first time. read more

This is my favorite Delta Sonic. Always helpful staff with tips and discount offers. Restrooms clean and neat also sanitary. Great food variety. Love the unlimited car wash service that's year round. Love the location it's perfect location makes it easy to get to. The space is so comfortable. You dont feel bunched up. That so importantant to me. Plenty of staff for the registrars. I've been a customer her from the seventies. Have loved it through all its upgrades. May only wish would be to close by 11 PM or midnight. To me that would be awsome. Especially for the Delivery drivers like postmate, uber, Lyft and grubhub even if its self service at the pumps. It could help those getting off work at 11 PM too. read more

I really like this location. Much better than others. Detailing is what's usually needed for the car, the wash is secondary to that. And they usually do a great job. On my last visit, they missed a few spots, but happily corrected the situation. Also, all the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. And the brick oven pizza makes waiting a lot more pleasant than a boring, hot waiting room. My last meal was a turkey Cobb wrap with cranberry mayo. I have no words to describe how good it was. I am so thankful that this Delta Sonic exists, and that it is close to home. Cheapest gas in the city, as far as I know, and I've been checking gas prices since before I could walk. This location is sometimes even cheaper than other Delta Sonics. In addition to gas, they have a car wash station and a garage where they do basic oil changes, rotate your tires, etc. The people at the service station are really, really friendly, and incredibly helpful. I brought my car in once cause one of the tires looked a little flat, and they went ahead and checked my tire pressures for me and even filled up the flat-ish tire, free of charge. I don't think this is something places usually charge for, but I've seen it happen, so thanks, Delta Sonic! Plus they were actually pretty busy that day so I'm impressed that they didn't just shoo me away (which has also happened at other garages). Also, they sell food. Pretty good food. They've got a mini market thing going, sort of like your average 7/11, and then they have a DD, a sandwich bar, and a brick oven pizzeria. Brick oven pizza! No joke. I'm a DIE HARD fan of Delta Sonic and once you live long enough outside of WNY believe me you will be one too. That being said this isn't my favorite location. The service is fairly inconsistent and can be slow at times. However most employees are college students so that can be expected. The convenience, location and prices make it worth coming back to again and again. Plus they usually offer another service free within a certain period of time which makes it like a buy one get one free deal every time you go! I recommend the 10 minute interior detail. Fabulous customer service, especially from manager Terry and attendant Dawon, for two vehicles. When I brought the second vehicle in on day two, Terry asked about how things went on the first vehicle. I noted that there was a small scratch, and the manager said bring it back, and he'd touch it up. When I brought it back, Terry took care of the nick himself, and it looks like new. Dawon did a full-interior detail and really took his time cleaning a mini-van that had the evidence of daily use by three small kids. He did a wonderful job! Delta sonic is definitely the ruler of the gas station empire. I mean it's a full service gas station with competitively prices gas. After pumping your gas you may get a little hungry. I've been to this Delta Sonic a few times. There's nothing really special about this Delta Sonic, but its a solid place to get gas, a car wash, oil change, detailing, or inspections. I was pretty impressed that I was in and out of my oil change in less than 15 minutes, but then again, there was no line in front of me. What is nice though, is that their services like oil changes and inspections are open on Sunday, which is not always the case for all Delta Sonics. read more
