I had food poisoning from here and reported it. As a result, the response was, "we are sorry that you THINK that you got food poisoning from here." No. I definitely did. The cheddar cheese was as soft as cream cheese. Cheese doesn't do that unless it sits out for HOURS in fluctuating temperatures. I also asked for a Jack and coke and she rudely said, "that's not complimentary." I said "ok. That's fine. My bad. Then what is?" She offered a disgusting bourbon and then afterwards said "these drinks here are what you can get." Ok, cool. So you just had me drink what was the worst beverage on your menu only to then tell me there was a selection of what didn't taste like a $1 bourbon. I also had coffee that tasted so sour that I'm convinced that they might not wash what holds the coffee. I never knew you could mess up coffee but feel free to fact check me on this if you visit. It's definitely an unforgettable experience. I'm never going to this Sky Club again; even if it's free after landing from my previous flight. read more

If you don't read another review this year, read this one. I'm a long-time Delta girl, Platinum Sky Miles to be exact, and I've got the low-down on all the things you've ever considered where airport lounges are concerned. The answer to your first question is YES, the lounges are worth it. Free food, free booze, and in many Delta lounges across the globe, free services like massages, showers, facials, and great views. Every lounge differs, and given the new guidelines on entry, the available space is a breath of fresh air. There is no good reason to sit in the terminal if you can access the lounge, and many lounges ARE accessible with a simple fee. If you've got a 3-4 hour layover or need to arrive at the airport in advance of your flight, DO NOT sit down in the terminal or even some silly restaurant with the unwashed masses. Go to a lounge to enjoy the space, the outlets, the high-speed wi-fi, the clean bathrooms, and perks. One of my favorite Delta lounges is at CVG in B terminal. The folks who works here are always kind, they remember your drinks, they clear tables regularly, and they always seem to work with a smile. Today Ms. Charlene made me a few old fashioned's, and they are perfect. Use cash or pay with miles if you order a specialty cocktail...the lounge has you covered. Unlike off-brand lounges, Sky Lounges always have an impressive array of delectable treats (I came to CVG one time and there was a hot dog stand set up inside!), and the bar is stocked with top-shelf options guaranteed to delight. Everyone will find something here, from vegans to carnivores, and it's all so very worth it. I will admit that not all lounges are created equally. I've tried Delta lounges (and the partners) across the globe, and there are some rock stars out there. CVG is at the top end of the "basic" lounges, and you'll find everything from work pods to a mini-conference room. This place is meant for work, not "comfort" (per se), given its geographical positioning. It caters to businesspeople, so adjust your luxurious expectations. Go to Charles de Gaulle if you want luxury. My pro tip would be to get yourself a special credit card that allows for entry into the lounges AND let's you build miles for free trips. I'd suggest a specific card, but I don't think that's allowed here and don't want to lose my Elite status! Regular usage and membership leads to things like passes, vouchers, and credits, so there's a benefit to brand loyalty. If travel with NWA had counted prior to the merger more than a decade ago, I'd have a million miles. Until I build them all back up again, I'm happy to recommend Delta Sky Lounges for all your airport needs. read more

New. Fresh. Spacious. Clean and well appointed. The new sky club in SLC is among my faves. Love the outdoor patio and the two food lines and bars. Lots of different seating configurations and self checkin. The food is solid. Plenty of options and consistent with Deltas current food offering in other clubs across the US. However, it's Utah so don't ask for a double. Haha It's clean and gleaming but it's still over run with travelers. I swear it doubled in capacity and doubled in occupants. Which was cool, since we spent three hours waiting for a new plane. The setup was smaller than most club, but they had a nice bar and bartender and a nice spread of snacks. I've been to a few delta lounges and this one is really great. Cheerful employees, working hard. The food was delicious! The beef barbacoa and the chicken tinga were tasty. They had warm tortillas and toppings to make a burrito with the meats. Two soups were served with fresh bread. The meats/cheeses/pasta salad/sandwich station had a lot of options as well. This lounge didn't have the usual prepackaged brownie or cupcakes like atlanta. They have banana pudding parfait and chocolate mouse cheesecake served in cups in a chilled display basin. Either this is totally unique or this is the new august menu. They have three self serve spigots for carbonated water at the bar. My fave! There are a few TVs scattered playing sports and news. The best part about the lounge is how spacious it is. There are multiple seating areas and it is not crowded together. Bathrooms are clean. Free wifi. read more

Normally, Delta Sky Clubs for me is just a better alternative to sitting by a gate. But this one at CVG truly does a great job of making me feel at home, and it's probably one of the only lounges I look forward to going to. This club sets itself apart because of how large it is. The area is super spacious and there are always clusters of comfy chairs and tables available. Most seating is in pods of 3 or 4 lounge chairs, but there are also high tops and bar seating for those who want to eat quickly and get out. I love that even in the busiest times, there's always a place to sit, and you're never weaving through crowds and narrow spaces. There's also a pretty good hot food selection and salad bar. Granted, it's not nearly as wide of a variety as the clubs in larger airports, but the service makes up for it. There are always such friendly agents with amazing customer service at the check-in desk, and this is the main reason it makes me feel "at home". Mark has checked me into the club during all my morning flights and puts such a big smile on my face. His level of enthusiasm and service is truly unparalleled, and is the perfect pick-me-up in the AM. And last but not least, they have an ice cream freezer with Klondike Bars and Snickers Ice Cream and more! It brings out the inner child in me and I absolutely love the treats! read more

This is one of the better sky clubs. I've visited twice in the last year and both times have seen as many staff as patrons. Obviously not sustainable however it's great for the customer. I suppose that since it used to be called the "Crown Room Club" it needs to retain that heritage of old boys' club, with its orange wood finishes and big armchairs. It's spacious. Old school but spacious. I was there early in the morning and I had my coffee but the breakfast selection was mediocre. There was some oatmeal, yogurt, and misshapen eggs. Located in an airport that is slowly going downhill, the Sky Club is a great place. As with all Sky Clubs, it is for members only... but it doesn't mean you can't take advantage of the place if you are stuck in CVG. Don't quote me on this... but I believe that if you have certain credit cards you can get a day pass for $25 and guest are included in the day pass. Depending on your Delta status, membership is free or you can purchase it (or use miles to purchase it). This is one of my favorite Sky Clubs because, being located in Kentucky, it offers Woodford Reserve. For those of you visiting this airport and are not familiar with this bourbon, you must try it. As with all Sky Clubs, all food and drinks (including alcohol) are complimentary and restroom are 3 steps up from those throughout the rest of the airport. read more

I am a American Express Delta Reserve member and I travel extensively.  After nearly 10 years and a million miles with a different airline I switched to Delta and one big plus is the Delta Lounges. As lounges go, this one is excellent. It is cozy with friendly service, great WiFi and enough food and snacks to easily feel good about skipping a meal elsewhere in the airport.  If you are interested in joining the club and you travel more than a few times a year with a loved one, the Amex Delta Reserve card is the way to go.  It's $500 a year and for me with all the visits I I'll pay for that by skipping meals but you also get a free "companion ticket" each year where you can add a friend/spouse for free along with your ticket purchase and that alone is worth the $500 annual fee.   The club here is really comfy and has almost a feeling of sitting in your living room instead of the more formal feel of many of the other Delta clubs, which are still really nice btw. If you have an hour or more before your departure, this is a place that I'd try and it will sell you on joining up.   Enjoy! read more

Today at this club the pasta was labeled vegan, I asked and was told it's not. Covered in real cheese. Last time eggs were labeled vegan. You guys need to fix this before you kill someone. It's been almost a decade since Delta's take over of NWA, and as a result, I never find myself connecting through CVG anymore. This club is really a throwback to the days of NWA, and some of it you can still see (i.e. the damn bathroom, you may have changed the sinks and toilets to be automated; however, little else in terms of decor has been touched). Highlights of the club: +/- : It's one giant open space so you don't feel cramped; however, noise does and will travel + Window views of the runway + Staff- they are extremely helpful and friendly -/+ The food is very basic. The hot bar has a limited options and EXTREMELY limited options for gluten free item (we are talking carrots and some popcorn) -/+ Full bar with bartender. Standard free drinks as well as paid top shelf + Wifi was stable and provided consistent bandwidth to get work done. Standard password protected logon. Password changes every 4 months + Lack of crowd, though I would contribute this more to Delta moving away from CVG and making DTW the primary single hub after the NWA merger was completed. Hanging out in this club definitely beats passing your time in the terminal. read more

Sadly the perk is soon disappearing for us gold card members, so I took one last adventure in the Cincinnati Delta Sky Club last week. It was the day before Thanksgiving, and yet surprisingly not too busy. There was PLENTY of seating, even the ones with views out the window! The front desk people were nice, and I always appreciate that during the holiday season. The food was great, and lots of options. By the time I left I was nice and full! All of the servers and bartenders were friendly and fast, which again is always appreciated. A great place to relax....if you don't have kids. We felt like our toddler had too itch energy for this place, so we grabbed some food and left the people there in peace. But I was very happy to get cottage cheese and berries for my little boy and a cup of the BEST TEA EVER (Harney & Sons Cinnamon Spice) for myself. Hubby was glad to get coffee and snacks. I also noticed they had a freezer of ice cream treats - even a Snickers Ice Cream Bar!! Yum! The people at the front desk greeted us warmly. Recently renovated, the club has plenty of places to relax before your flight, plug in your devices and enjoy a beverage. The bar is well stocked and great selections on the complimentary draft beer tap. The food bar while smaller, has a good selection and soups are great as well. First time at the CVG Delta Sky Club. Wow! Okay, I'm kind of a newbie to the Sky Club scene. I wasn't going until I was a Delta Diamond because Sky Club membership came with the status... Yay me! I've been to the Sky Club in MSP, my introduction to the Sky Club luxury. Not bad, I must say. Forget paying for breakfast at any of the awesome restaurants at MSP, I prefer a complimentary toasted bagel with cream cheese... and that's just my preference. Oh wait... Sky Club at CVG. Well, as others have said... this place was built in the heyday of CVG being a major Delta hub. It's huge. It's beautiful. And better than anything... it's freakin' empty! Unlike MSP, drinks are not self-serve. I did not imbibe, but the bar is gorgeous and I understand from other reviews that the folks at the bar take good care of the patrons. The Sky Club at MSP is nice. I like being able to help myself. It's crowded. Not unbearably so, but it's crowded. At CVG... at least at 5:15 am, it was mostly empty... and beautiful... did I mention it's beautiful? I will rarely hit CVG Sky Club. I live in Cincinnati, so unless I arrive extra early, it's not going to be a place I hang out. Today I ended up at CVG with enough time to at least check the Sky Club out.. and it was a very nice experience. Makes me wish CVG was a layover. read more

This is a HUGE Delta Sky Lounge, probably the biggest I've been in. The entrance is a little hard to find. The signage is small, and the doors are unmarked, but once you're upstairs, it's worth the minor hassle. Spacious, lots of windows, large bathrooms, and a nice appointed bar. Although the bartender went MIA for a bit (which was ok, since maybe only 15 people at the club at the time), she made up for it with a nice pour of wine. The food was great, as always, and they had a freezer case with frozen ice cream treats as well. read more

This is my favorite part of CVG. This instantly improves my travel through CVG. The lounge is located on the left after you climb to the Delta Terminal. The place is spacious, well lit and airy. There are always seats available, to relax or get some work done. The snack selection is good. There are a number of TV screens. There is a nice view of the tarmac from one side. read more

It's a huge open lounge with lots of windows letting in natural light. It's also not crowded, which is a plus. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the snooty check-in lady...I had read that the lounge only serves "snacks" so I went ahead and bought a Chick Fil-a salad and yogurt parfait. She disdainfully looks at the food and tells me they have a policy of not permitting any "outside food" in the lounge, because it is a "private lounge" and that I'd be more than welcome to go back outside to eat the food and then come back in. I told her they don't serve food in the lounge, to which she responded that they actually do. I asked if I could just hold onto the food and NOT eat it in the lounge. She was not very happy with that, but she permitted me to do so. Because of all that nonsense, she did not check and tell me whether my flight was on time or not. Look wench, this "private club" you're referring to is something that I have full and complete access to. It is not "private" to exclude me, so don't treat me as such. Second, the lounge website does not represent the fact that it "serves food," only that it "had snacks." Third, nowhere does it advertise this inane policy of "no outside food." She needs to understand that she is a mere employee at the lounge. It is not my problem nor should I have to suffer in quality of service if she's pissed or resents the fact that someone half her age and omg, the first Asian person she's ever seen, is checking into her precious lounge located in the depressing Cincinnati metro area that she is SO lucky to live in. read more
