The skunk was spraying so frequently that the odor had become overwhelming and was actually making its way into my bedroom. Living in the hills, wildlife is simply part of life. Most of the time it's one of the perks of living here. Unfortunately, this particular wildlife situation had become unbearable, so I called in the professionals. OR, what I thought were the professionals... I should have just called a Doberman. I will start by saying that the technicians themselves were professional. Unfortunately, the actual service was a complete failure and complete waste of money. They came out, set a trap, filled it with cat food, covered it with a bag, and instructed me to check it every morning. The problem with that approach is obvious: if the trap actually contained a skunk, the only way to find out was to walk right up to it and look inside. Nothing says "professional wildlife management" quite like asking the homeowner to potentially get skunked. Over the course of the next week, I was repeatedly assured that the bait being used was specifically designed to attract skunks and that possums supposedly weren't interested in it. Yet somehow, the trap managed to catch three possums and exactly zero skunks. ZERO SKUNKS! The skunk that was actually causing the problem remained comfortably under my house, probably laughing at them and apparently completely unimpressed by their "specialized" bait. Meanwhile, the charges kept appearing on my credit card. By the end of this adventure, I was out roughly $700 and left with the exact same problem I started with. Three possums had been trapped and removed--none of which were bothering me in the first place--I honestly feel bad for these poor possums, what did they do with them when they took them away? While the skunk continued living its best life beneath my home. Three possums later, I'm convinced the trap's only qualification was "contains animal." I'm honestly surprised they didn't catch my own cat, a squirrel, and the neighbor's golden retriever while they were at it. The skunk, meanwhile, continues to live its best life under my house while I funded this expensive wildlife exchange program. Thank you All-in-One. If your goal is to spend hundreds of dollars catching harmless possums, this company may be for you. We called Golden State Critter Control and the owner was here within a few hours. He inspected from top to bottom, and found numerous breaches and holes in venting access to our house from the outside. We are on a zero-lot line where we can't see one exterior wall of the house (it faces along the neighbor's fenced-in yard), and after he contacted the owner to get permission to inspect, showed us that literally all of the crawl-space vent guards were broken through on that side. He offered us a variety of options based on what we wanted done, and for a very, very affordable price we opted for reinforcing attic vents on the roof, replacing all exterior ground-level vent grids, repairing a breach where an A/C hose's insulation had been gnawed through to gain entry, and also set traps in the crawl space (with weekly checks for a month) in case any critters were still around that might try to scratch their way around, in or out. He was able to do the work right then if we wanted, and we jumped at the chance! He was careful, thorough, and expert (the new mesh vent grates look very strong & were custom fit). He's very friendly and a great listener; quickly finding and showing us all the problem areas. And, he wore a protective mask all the way through to keep us safe. We'll be listening for any remaining activity or noise for the next few days and were encouraged to call him to come right back if needed to check it out prior to the weekly visits to follow-up and monitor the traps. Another great bonus: they return annually to give a free check-up/inspection. You can't go wrong with this great service: above and beyond expectations. We are very gratefully relieved with the responsiveness, thoroughness, pricing, and so amazed at what was discovered and remedied in such quick order. Thanks so much!

They walked the whole perimiter of the house and replaced some crawlspace vent screens, filled & covered quite a few gaps/holes in our eaves and near the roofline, and filled some gaps along the sides of our garage door. They also put some traps in our crawlspace and attic and will be coming back every week to check them until we get the official all clear!

I told the salesperson multiple times that I was not interested in ongoing pest control service, but he continued pushing the service. I eventually agreed only after he represented to me that I could receive the treatment one time and then cancel. What was not clearly verbally disclosed or explained to me was that cancelling after that initial treatment would result in a $299 charge. Had the salesperson clearly told me, "You can cancel after the first treatment, but you'll owe $299 if you do," I would never have agreed. When I later cancelled and disputed the $299 charge, I explained this directly to the company. Their response focused heavily on saying that a contract had been emailed to me instead of addressing my concern about what their salesperson represented and failed to clearly explain during the door-to-door interaction. I have preserved video and audio relating to the solicitation, and I have now filed a formal complaint with the California Structural Pest Control Board regarding the sales interaction and disclosure of the cancellation charge. My issue is not simply that cancellation language exists in the paperwork. My issue is how the service was presented to me at my door after I repeatedly declined and the fact that the $299 consequence was not clearly verbally explained before I agreed. If you live in the 95829 area or surrounding Sacramento neighborhoods and Fast Action comes to your door, take your time and read every term before agreeing to anything. Pay particular attention to the length of the agreement and any early-cancellation charges. This review reflects my personal experience with the company.
