We had three other inspections before this, and honestly, I was shocked at how pushy and scammy those companies felt. Two of them were trying to sell attic insulation replacements, even though they were only licensed for pest control. Tony stood out immediately. He offered a very reasonable price and was the only inspector who pointed out overgrown landscaping and actual roof issues. None of the other companies mentioned any of that. On top of that, Nottingham does not force you into a monthly service plan just to warranty their exclusion work, which says a lot about their integrity. Truly an honest company. Nottingham Pest Control is by far the most efficient, professional and best pest control company we have ever used. We had mice and even a rat or two and Paul was the outstanding professional that prevented all possible rodent entrances. Not a rodent has been seen since he blocked each and every entrance. He went under the house and into the attic as well as around in the house. He placed rodent Bait Stations outside while they were working to close off all the entry points. The traps placed on the attic and crawl space were checked once a week but because they patched up all entries, no rodents could gain entry. I really was pleased with the way they handled our problems. A lot of the businesses just did a Google Earth of my property and guesstimated square footage of the roof and sent a quote. They didn't even really try to understand what our challenges were. Nottingham sent a specialist out within 2 days. He got into our attic space, identified the areas that needed attention, and showed us photos taken of the areas. Marcos then reviewed options about how to address the problems and we arrived at a solution together. Then a estimate was provided based on the actual situation. We're moving forward with the work and hope to have our "uninvited guests" out of our attic in a manner that is gentle to the critter and helps to protect our property going forward. RIPPING US OFF. We contacted this company specifically for Rodent control. They came discussed the situation checked out possible points of entry and said they'd come back a few days later to do the initial work and the paperwork. When they showed up they had me sign the agreement telling me it was for the rodent control that we discussed. It seemed things were going well until I found them spraying for bugs. Apparently the agreement they had me sign included bug/pest control though that was never discussed, wanted and was being provided by another company. When I pointed this out to them and realized they were billing me for this bug service I explained the situation and requested they provide a proposal to remedy the misunderstanding. To this date no proposal was ever received and all they've done is hound us for a small outstanding balance for the pest/bug spraying. Up until that point we were satisfied with the rodent control. Now we think all they care about is a small balance for something we never knowingly agreed to. They could have easily resolved the situation, made their customer happy, and possibly receive some compensation for the misunderstanding. Now all they get is a 1 star review with a public warning to others to watch out when doing business with the company. In response to the owners comment as clearly he wants to publicly continue this disagreement: 1) Despite several requests for a proposal on how to resolve charging us for services we did not request nothing was ever received. Yes, we did not respond to emails and phone calls asking for payment of a small balance for these services again that we did not request. 2) He had the audacity to send a technician to our front door requesting payment. The technician was 6 feet from our door when it was closed. Not slammed in his face. Would you like to see video? 3) They DID NOT correct the rodent issue and another company will be needed to do what they were paid thousands to do. Would you trust a company who would go to such lengths over a couple hundred dollars rather than coming to a simple resolution with a customer? read more

Our new house has a lovely backyard with beautiful rose trees, tall redwoods & a number of established fruit trees... all of which seemingly help catch every tiny little baby spider parachuting along on the wind, welcoming them into our yard & subsequently into our home. While it's nice not to be inundated with crawling/biting bugs in the yard, it's definitely not so nice being startled by an eight-legged not so tiny creature in almost every cabinet, closet door & storage drawer opened. My husband is on the Spider FBI's Most Wanted list: they will literally crawl across the ceilings, walls & floors to jump or drop down on him (totally against the norm) to try to bite/scare him (scaring always accomplished!). I'd read about Nottingham via the Nextdoor app and loved that their services were described as not only very thorough but also pet and child friendly. We scheduled with Mark (very easy to do via email & txt). Mark was on time, friendly, & knowledgeable. We were happy that the service was everything promised on the website. I was originally going to write up a review immediately, but my hubby wanted to wait & see how things went first. Three weeks passed but the spiders were still hunting him down like Tommy Lee Jones chasing Harrison Ford in "The Fugitive". Literally, everywhere he turned there were still spiders, spiders, spiders! (They were clearly only after him as I only saw one). I contacted Mark to ask what we should do & he scheduled a revisit. Mark was again on time & very personable. He did another treatment without any complaints AND at no charge. Talk about great service with a company you can trust! It's been almost a week since our re-treatment & *ZERO* spiders spotted! If you're looking for pest control at very reasonable prices with an independent & locally-owned company that knows how to give great customer service & truly cares about the community, then you need to call Nottingham Pest Control. The ABSOLUTE pinnacle of excellence in customer service. Mark is one of the business owners who truly wants to help people and not just get rid of the bugs. We had a unique problem and he went OVER THE TOP to help us solve it when no one else would. (We literally got turned down by several pest control companies here on yelp) Replying to texts after normal business hours, calling our local agricultural center for the county, special trips, and several other things that no one would consider in the spectrum of an average business to do to try and help a customer. I gave my honest review. It's funny how you choose to remember the conversation differently, and go into a very long explanation on yelp, when you were curt and minced words on the phone. U also tried to ask me why i was concerned with the ceilings (which I never mentioned ceilings before) and you never gave me a chance to tell you about the bird nest and dead bird in the yard... if you didn't interrupt me constantly in a condescending manner "why do u think its bird mites, why do u think that, have u done this?" I don't see how anyone can assume that's pleasant conversation when your tone and words were condescending. Then u proceeded to tell me to see a doctor. Grab a dictionary and look up condescending, it might help you. I spoke to another pest control company and he listened to our concerns, didn't question or judge, nor did he say he would REFUSE to help unless I see a doctor first. Those were your words sir, not mine. Get your facts straight, and maybe go see the doctor. read more
