No ants after the first service and in Oakley that's a major accomplishment. Very responsive. They will come back if you notice any re-infestation. Great value for the service. read more

John has been my parents bust a bug guy for many years and when I moved into our rental condo I was getting ambushed by some tiny red ants, my mom called John and he came over that afternoon, even though he was busy. He also noticed a wasp nest and took care of that. He's an amazing person! read more

I'm a new customer to bust a bug Shawn my service technician came out for the first time and got rid of all the webs and sprayed. I'm very pleased with his job! Since having him come out I've seen literally no bugs or black windows which has been amazing. Thanks Shawn! read more

After initially hiring Bust-A-Bug for my black widow problem, I contacted when i saw more spiders and they did a follow up right away. I then used them at my tenant's house when we discovered there might be a mouse moving around in attic and wall. They came and set up traps and when the technician couldn't clean the nest they had made, worked with them to get that eventually taken care of as they have staff that specializes. My tenant reported everything is good and they caught some pests on their follow up trap check and re-baiting. A happy tenant is very important to me obviously and they came through on getting everything resolved. Had some issues with their automatic scheduling software with appointments that I didn't order or want right away as was waiting for weather to warm up. Alex (owner) worked with me on getting my account updated and credited and will continue using them for all my needs at both homes. read more

We have been so pleased with our service from Bust a Bug! We RARELY see pests of any sort creeping around since we started using their services a few years ago. If we ever do happened to have a few ants or critters pop up intermittently, they are awesome about it and come out and spray additional. Our service guy Clinton is so awesome too. He is so friendly, professional, and we just love chatting with him! Highly recommend this company! read more

Ok, I was a bit upset with the service provided for me during this time. My agitation was the response from the manager in simply saying,"I can replace the peanut butter," he missed the whole point. However, the tech was there to place sticky traps. I had been using snap traps because I am seriously afraid of mice. The young tech guy meant well by seeing my traps and adding peanut to MY traps in his attempts to show us how to use traps accordingly. But when you come into someone's home you are there to do your job ONLY. Be cause he wanted to really help and obviously he was sincere. Please just leave a message with the suggestion. He cared enough to try help but it was the way he chose to do it that was just unacceptable. read more

Chris came to our house and explained all that needed to be done. He gave clear advice on what to do to keep rats from getting into the attic (yuk!). We just started a bi-monthly service with them. I'm glad we did. Update: Busy-a-Bug continues to be reliable and effective in keeping the bugs away! read more

Gene was so helpful when we had an ant AND rat infestation at the same time. I've heard that rats are notoriously difficult to get rid of an he was able to get them caught and the apartment sealed in less than a week. He also offered helpful tips on how to deal with the difficult conditions with a toddler at home since we wanted to protect him and ourselves from any potential diseases that could be spread from rats and their droppings. So grateful! read more

I love Bust-A Bug! I've been using their monthly services for the last 8 years! I highly recommend this company for your pest control.

The best in Brentwood! Very affordable, reliable, everyone is so nice!! Thank you Bust a Buf

We've been customers of Bust of Bug since 2016, when we moved into the area. We've had such a positive experience that there's never been a need to change service. There are many companies that come door to door offering us deals and we've always said, "why fix something that is not broken." I can call them anytime with specific requests and they always respond promptly. The gentleman that services our home is always friendly and knowledgeable. If you want consistency and reliability then I recommend them! read more

I've been working with Bust-A-Bug for about 5 years since we moved to Brentwood, and they are fantastic! We've never had an issue, they are always on time, super respectful, and accommodating with the times you need or re-schedules. I also love their easy payment option, and I recommend them to anyone that asks for a pest company. We just sold our house and moved to a new house; we will move our services to the new house with them. Extremely satisfied customer here! read more

We moved into our new home in Brentwood December 2015. During the framing stage I noticed ants were making there way into the home. I contacted the building superintendent for Van Daele Homes and they allowed me to call in an exterminator to spray inside before the walls were closed in. I contacted Alex and the ants were gone the next day. We never turned back. Bust a Bug has provided great service for the last five years. Highly Recommended!!! read more

A bit late on my review, but I must say I've had such a great experience with Ryan. He even brought along treats that he gave to my dogs! He let them get familiarized with him so they wouldn't bark like crazy. And on top of that he thoroughly explained what he was going to do & how long to wait to let my dogs back out. This was our 2nd time being serviced by this company, and both times I've had a wonderful experience thanks to Ryan. By far the best kind of tech to have when you have pets. We had a horrible experience with another company before, so my dad decided to give this one a try, and it's been really great so far. read more

We recently had some rodent problems. I interviewed a couple of companies that quoted me in the $thousands. After an inspector from Contra Costa Vector Control came by and pointed out a few possible entry points, I hired a contractor to help seal the entry points. Yet, the problem persists. Bust-A-Bug offers extremely reasonable price so I decided to give them a try. Chris was very experienced and courteous. He checked the entire house thoroughly including the exterior, attics and crawlspace. He identified a spot that we missed on the first trip, and that took care of all the problems. Highly recommended! Highly recommended! read more

Bust a Bug is a great company. I have been a satisfied customer since 2005. The owner of the company, Alex, will personally help you with any out of the ordinary issues. The staff are very professional and cheerful when they come to your house. Just a bunch of nice people! If you have any issues, they take care of it. I only have the outside of my house done and no insects in the house! ( ie no spiders, ants, earwigs, silverfish...). I highly recommend Bust a Bug. read more

We've been with Bust-A-Bug for almost 5 years now and they are worth every penny! Extremely responsive, polite and we have the same tech since day one. He is great with our animals and a pro at his job! read more

Been a great experience with bust-a-bug. Simple and on time scheduling and the best part... no bugs!

Very satisfied with Bust a Bug. Good service from technician and excellent communication from the company regarding scheduling . Always willing to retreat when new "creatures" are spotted. read more

I have never written a review but after getting off the phone with the owner of this company I just had to. If I could give no stars I would. At first the service was fine, but over time became horrible. The tech sprayed the solution at my dogs faces!! The dogs were on the other side of a pool fence and the tech was not in any danger at all. Two of us were stepping out the door to get the dogs into the house (he came unannounced) and we caught him spraying directly at the dogs. I called into the office a few days later to cancel service and was basically called a liar. He even had the audacity to say we didn't get charged for the day in question however I have the bill in front of me with the charge. I paid the bill and here is my review! read more

Today was my first time using Bust-A-Bug pest control. The technician arrived first thing this morning and he was polite, pleasant, accommodating, happy, and over the top with customer service! He was genuinely interested in solving the problem with the ants in my house! He said he would follow up in five days and I believe it. I was truly amazed! Hopefully the ants are gone soon. I'm happy that I called Bust-A-Bug. read more

I never respond to surveys about companies or their employees but my experience with my technician was awesome! He was so polite and informative when I asked questions! Thumbs up from me! read more

I have been in contact with Alex within this week to inquire on his services. He promptly returns phone calls. On the day of the appointment, he came in the time frame promised. He immediately presented his business card and introduced himself. (I usually ask for identification with anyone.. but he was on the ready!!) He took care of our problems (mainly spiders and ants). So far he explained that if any problems occur after a week to give him a call. I am very pleased with his initial service and will maintain to keep his service on the long run. Alex is professional, prompt and courteous. He is a wealth of information. Good to know these things!! Thank you Alex of Bust-a-Bug. We really really appreciate your services. read more

I am extremely afraid of bugs. Worst fear ever! I have been through many pest control services and I can't say enough about Bust-A-Bug. Alex and his team are professional, always show up and never take my fear and need to be as "bug-free" as possible in and around my home for granted. If I need another spray in between my scheduled services it's always done within a week if not sooner. Too be honest, usually my regular scheduled appointment is enough but I'm in new construction right now which brings the bugs out even more. I've never experienced this type of service anywhere. And I have tried about 15 different companies. I highly recommend them. read more

I am somewhat delayed in writing this review. I first contacted Alex last summer (2014) based on reviews here. I had found several holes in the yard of my recently purchased home and wasn't sure of the source. I just knew as parents with two infants we wanted an eco-friendly solution to the problem. Alex answered the phone and offered to come out later in the day for an inspection. We agreed upon a very affordable price and solution. Alex caught two gophers over the course of 2-3 months and our yard has remained rodent free! I'd highly recommend Bust-A-Bug and will gladly contact them if we have any future problems. Thanks Alex! read more

This business is speedy and professional. Daniel the tech was courteous and professional. He did a thorough job and educated me on the local bugs we unfortunately have out here in Bremtwood. As a new home owner our here I was unaware of having to have pest control due to living out in the country. Their prices are fair and I am happy I am giving my business to a small business that cares about the community read more

Alex came to our house this week to take care of 2 yellow jacket nests, and we couldn't be happier with his service. He fit us in to his schedule as soon as he could, and we found him to be most genial, courteous, and efficient. And of course, no more yellow jackets. If we have other pest problems in the future, we will be calling Alex. Highly recommended. read more

Clinton is the real MVP! So kind, knowledgeable and thorough! Thank you! A great experience!!

Courteous, prompt and very good at taking care of our ant problem quickly. Sensitive to our cats presence and no pitch to oversell unnecessary extras. We had a good discussion about trees and identifying potential pests. Highly recommend Alex. read more
