Fort Knox gave me great service during my hectic move last weekend. First off, the woman at the…read morecounter was very helpful and even helped me after Uhaul hours! Other places I went to would literally say we don't do Uhaul after 3pm and say sorry - try tomorrow! To add insult to injury (hehe) my battery on my car died when I was in the parking lot. This time, the owner himself (I think he owns the place) came out and fixed my car! Man he really saved the day, I would have been so ... (explicit language) These guys here are no-nonsense people.. if you come in with a boorish attitude, they aren't going to put up with that, and I applaud them for that.. but if you are nice, they go out of their way to take care of you.. and so they did for me! The owners daughter was just as helpful, nice, cordial and professional when I returned. They understood my messy moving situation since another uhaul store refused to honor my reservation and left me stranded.. I am not going to say it was the Vallejo Uhaul.. that would be very mean for me to do.. it has to remain a secret! Anyway, for as long as I live in the Area, Fort Knox really went above and beyond to accommodate me and make sure I had a truck to move with. And they really didn't have to, that's why I give 5 star rating

Thankfully the chairs were mostly covered with a blanket, but there was A LOT of poop, and I know those rats were all over my chairs and other items being stored. Tried to report this to on-site manager but after multiple calls and letting the phone ring until it shut off, I had to call Corporate. This happened on a Monday. No manager on site nor answering phones. Couldn't even leave a message cuz no voicemail! Corporate offered apologies but stated that I assume ALL risk. Rats are not my responsibility. The storage facility has dozens of rat boxes outside but you can see they haven't been serviced in forever. They are crusted with cobwebs and leaves. Also, several large spiders and their webs obstruct the light switch at the entry door! So, no housekeeping of any kind but you are still obligated to pay full rent, even with rats running around your storage unit. BEWARE!
