Sales won me over with the information that there was a $700 Golden State rebate. Turned out only if I had bought 5 gal. bigger Hybrid Waterheater I had been eligible. They installed a $50 pan that I didn't actually need, and tried to charge me $190 for a wall penetration not done. Some other minor inconvenience. Delta was contacted through my home warranty company. The technician came out, and I explained the issue was that the thermostat wasn't turning the heat or AC off when set temperature had been reached. I explained that the problem wasn't with the heat or AC working; the problem was the system wouldn't turn off, and it seemed the thermostat was the problem. I asked that he assess the problem, and recommend a new thermostat. The technician said he needed a photo/video of thermostat showing that the system did not shut off at the set temperature. I sent him both a photo & video, and asked that he send his report to the home warranty company. I tried to contact the technician for a status update via the number he provided me, and didn't hear back. I called my home warranty company, and learned the technician had closed the case, saying there wasn't a problem, that it was normal for the system to continue running for a few minutes after the set temperature was reached. I explained that the system wasn't turning off, even after a few minutes. I was frustrated to know that this technician wasn't honest with me. When I did finally reach technician, he assured me case was not closed, and that he wasn't sure what the problem was; he told me another technician would be assigned to further investigate. I explained all of this with my home warranty company, saying the problem was not fixed, and I had the text messages with technician to prove I had sent him the photo of thermostat. My home warranty company agreed with me, and promptly assigned another contractor to assess the problem. Based on other reviews of Delta, I'm compelled to share my experience, hoping to alert homeowners. read more

Just had a brand new toilet installed today. We purchased our toilet from Home Depot and we requested installation. Delta Mechanical was the vendor Home Depot contracted for the service. Our technician's name was Drew Kull and he was fantastic. As promised Drew called me the day prior to our appointment to confirm. He again called the morning of our appointment when he was on his way. Drew was very friendly and professional. He came in, took a look at our bathroom and got straight to work. He was in and out within 30 minutes. He cleaned up after himself and took all the trash with him. Absolutely no complaints. I originally had John Stevenson Plummers schedule to do my install. They were charging me $500. During that install it was discovered that the toilet was defective. So I had to order a new one. Thankfully we did that, because the install from Delta was only $200. Which is the contract price from Home Depot, so not sure what it would be if you went directly through Delta. Either way, it was a great value for us. To Whom It May Concern: It would be unwise to ever try to use company. Home Depot had subcontracted Delta mechanical out to fix major leaks in my home. I had an appointment set up on 2/22/2025. I was told they would be at my home at 10:00 A.M, and then the Branch Manager of Sacrament (Vic, he would not give me his last name) called me asking for a one hour window, from 10:00 - to 11:00 A.M. I thought that was responsible. I took a half day of work (Unpaid) to be at my home for the arrival time. The time came and went, and no one showed up, no one contacted me, and I had major leaks in my home. I called the Branch manager "Vic (He would not give me his last name). And he said his guy was 30-45 minutes away. When I objected stating "I have an appointment and an arrival window that was not respected", he seemed to care not at all and say well this is normal. He had no answer for why no one contacted me so I could go to work and be home for the "new and un agreed upon time" someone coming. Nor could he give me an actual time someone would be there. I then asked "What is the realistic fucking time someone will come to my home", to which he became verbally abusive, aggressive, and canceled my appointment. Leaving me with several water leaks and hours of unpaid time wasted. This company has no respect for people's time. No professionalism, and if the workers are like there Branch Manager "Vic" no courtesy or decency. Avoid this company if you can. They will leave you high and dry. They will not show up, and they will waste your time, causing further damage to your home! read more

Drew and his assistant helper were awesome today, coming in to replace 3 toilets with new toilets that we got from Home Depot. The original service window was scheduled "10-1" but he was able to come early, was here by 8:30 AM, super professional and clean and friendly, and all 3 toilets were complete and installed and done within a couple hours. I was worried I'd have to remove the old toilets myself, had some past worry from getting a new dishwasher installed from Best Buy, but this was such a positive great experience. These guys are awful. Replaced a water heater through Home Depot. Quoted 1.5 weeks to get the new water heater to install but ended up being 3 since they put the order in a week late. Had incorrect charges on invoice and still have not corrected. Have called them 5 times now and they said they have fixed the invoice and I gave them my card and they said they would charge. But they have not and I talk to a new rep each time I call. Tried also calling Home Depot but there is no one to talk to. Don't use these guys and definitely don't go through Home Depot. read more

Initial experience was a little rocky with getting a quote. After having someone out it took three days and three phone calls just to get the quote to me. From then on out everyone was very professional. Although I did have some pretty serious concerns about the tech filling my garage and house with gas when they did not turn off the gas supply and left the gas line open for multiple minutes. I can not tell you how happy we are with the UNBELIEVABLE AND PROFESSIONAL CARE we received from Delta Mechanical. I had tons of questions and Rudy answered all of them with patience, and was very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to ensure I received answers to my many questions. No matter who picked up my calls, Michael, Vanessa, they helped in many ways and all did so with sincere care and friendliness. The icing on the cake was Andrew our installer. I had to replace my water heater. The pilot light kept going out and I didn't want to keep spending money on repairs so I called Home Depot and they have contractors that come out. He wasn't able to come the first day I requested which I was upset about, but I understand he had a lot of jobs and he works by himself so I can understand that, so he did show up the next morning as promised and he diligently took out the old one and installed a new one and there's a lot of parts that go into that but I'm very happy to have hot water again and to be able to take a hot shower. I had an install done and it has taken them three tries to get the water heater done right. The first call to ask for help the customer service rep told me it takes two days for a water heater to heat up so call back then. I am not an idiot, so I had to call back and get someone else in order to schedule a person to come over. Came and went - Still no hot water. Waiting for another visit, but the next day because they seem to always be closing by the time the service is done and testable. One more day of no hot water. read more

This review was given due to the issues associated with Delta Mechanical's scheduling. Our appointment was scheduled between 2-4pm, however at 4pm no technician has shown up or called. We called the dispatcher 2 times before we were told that the technician would be an hour late. Turns out that the technician did not show up until approximately 6pm. Unfortunately, it took us, the customer, making several calls to the dispatcher and not getting real information about when the technician would arrive. Finally, the technician called and explained that dispatcher possible scheduling his appointments on opposite sides of the city. The technician did an excellent job when he arrived and got everything taken care of. Antonio did a great job. He was helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. I purchased a 40 gal Rheem water heater through HD, but all was handled by their installer company Delta Mechanical and then HD sent the neccessary paperwork via email. Their customer Service Rep answered all my questions and said they could install same day if ordered before noon. Unfortunately I had to schedule 2 days later. Installer Cristhian showed up right on time. He answered all our questions and was done in less than the 3 hrs given as an estimate for the job. City fees and permit processing fees included in price. No drip pan was needed so they deducted from Estimate. Required stronger metal straps so they were added in. City inspector is supposed to come and inspect the job. I had bought a new water heater blanket to put around the old heater until we decided after 7 yrs., it was time to buy a new one. Christhian said these newer heaters are well insulated and CA laws to longer require a blanket, so I returned to HD for a refund. Everything went smoothly. Thank you Delta and Home Depot. read more
