If you bought a water heater from Home Depot and they are contacting with Delta Mechanical for the install you will need the following info: Home Depot's corporate customer care phone number (since the store is unwilling to help once the installation starts): 800-654-0688 Delta Mechanical's main number: 866-692-5283 (since the number listed on Yelp is no longer in service). My experience: -A 2pm-4pm appointment window on a Wednesday that came and went without a courtesy phone call. - After a series of calls between me and my local Home Depot over the course of HOURS the tech showed up at 8:30pm with the water heater. -He tracked mud in and tracked rusty old water out with no way to clean up either. -He asked to borrow a chair (since he did not bring a step stool). -He got the water heater half installed and promise to return Thursday to finish it. He didn't. -I called HD on Friday after discovering that the job was not completed as promised. The customer service desk at my local store said they couldn't help and that I would need to call customer care. I called customer care and was assured they spoke with Delta and the job would be competed Friday. AGAIN no one showed. -On Saturday HD's customer care line was closed for the weekend so I called Delta. No apologies- just an acknowledgment that it should have been done and a promise to have a different technician out on Monday to complete the work. 6 days for a same-day install is completely unacceptable. Delta Mechanical is horrible and shame on Home Depot for subjecting their customers to this sort of experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Another Home Depot installation story...... Wonderful when they came to disconnect the sink and toilet so I could have tile done. However, I called to schedule the reconnect, and someone new came out the next day. Apparently who ever took the call and scheduled the reconnect only put down the sink and not the toilet, despite me mentioning both when scheduling (and the fact that they disconnected both). When the person arrived they said the toilet was not on their schedule so they would just be doing the sink. In the end, they needed a part they didn't have to reconnect the sink so they said they were rescheduling for the next day. Since the sink needed a part, I asked them to reconnect the toilet. I had to call customer service (since it was not listed in the guy's to-do) where they told me they had no record of ever disconnecting the toilet so they would not be reconnecting the toilet. I am baffled as I watched the guy do it and had even written down a part he recommended for me to buy from them to have a more updated piece put in when the reconnect occurred. Their solution is sending back the person who disconnected to reconnect. We'll see what happens. Meanwhile I had taken off work and just wasted 2 hours for all this to occur. DO NOT USE THEM! Had an installation appointment today between 1 and 3 that was confirmed yesterday. Took the day off from work and they never showed up. Called over an hour later to see what had happened and they said they called to verify I would be here. Believe me, confirmation was yesterday and no call was ever placed to me today. Again, I took the day off strictly for this. No message was left or incoming call placed to me. I asked that the installation charge be discounted for missing the appointment and they said no. Fair enough. They are Home Depot's installer. Maybe it was a miscommunication but I doubt it. Buyer beware. read more

I recently phoned Delta Mechanical to get a quote to replace the sacrificial anode rod on my 4-yr-old Rheem 38-gal. water heater. I bought the rod some time ago, but hadn't had time to install it (but did install one about ten years ago on my previous WH). The quote from DM: $189! I said "No thanks", and installed the rod myself several days ago. Took a little more than an hour, including gathering tools, draining 2 gals of water from the WH, installation of the rod and clean up. read more

I recently had a new Central AC unit and water heater installed by Delta Mechanical and I couldn't be happier. I went directly through Delta Mechanical and not Home Depot, although I did use Home Depot's 24 months same as cash. Both the AC and WH were the original equipment in my house and over 22 years old. The AC died on Thursday, and they got it running again, but the 108 degree temps proved to be too much by Saturday, and it finally gave up the ghost. Jeff came over and explained my options and pricing for a new unit and water heater. We decided on a 5 ton Trane and 50 gal Rheem water heater. Their engineer Steve came over early Monday AM and measured and the install crew was there an hour later. Nick, Paul, Valcon and Chandler were professional, knowledgeable and fast. They got everything installed and house was cooling down by the afternoon. This was my 1st time buying a water heater and AC unit and I was very pleased with the their service and the whole process. I use Home Depot as my go-to place for lots of work I do on the properties we own. Generally their prices and selection are good, but their choice of third party installers needs significant improvement. I needed a new furnace, and there happened to be a salesmen in the local Home Depot hawking their furnace installation services, so with the clerk, we filled out the form, and Home Depot sent it on to their preferred installer - Delta Mechanical. A few days later, somebody from Delta Mechanical calls and schedules a time for their estimator to come and give us a quote. It's a couple weeks out, but OK, it's still pretty warm out so I can wait. "Monday, August 31st between 1 and 3PM we'll be there." So August 31st rolls around, and there I am, waiting, waiting, waiting, but nobody shows up. It's now 4PM. No phone call, nothing. So I call the number I was given for Delta Mechanical and talk with the person there. She can't find my phone number in their system, can't find my forms, can't find anything. So, if you really don't need whatever it is you are asking Home Depot about, and really don't care if anybody ever shows up, be sure to call Delta Mechanical. They can make you promises, then lose your paperwork, then claim they never heard of you. Incredible! read more

Delta Mechanical gets absolutely get 0 stars, but i had to provide at least 1 to post this review. They dont want to work, they have terrible customer service (they will just walk out), had to reschedule multiple times and still didnt get my sink installed. Their communication skills are terrible. Over the phone completing the install appointment was about the only time i have anything positive to say about this company. I am not experienced in plumbing but from my interactions with they, neither are they!!!!! I always search on yelp prior to going with any company for anything, but I figured since i was getting the job done through home depot that I would have a great experience. I was never contacted before installation of the water heater as promised (they claimed they called, but my caller ID says otherwise). Finally told they were on their way at 8:30 AM. Received a call from the installer that he was 1/2-hour away. 11 AM checked Yelp and found numerous similar experiences. Cancelled the sale. Installer showed up five minutes before noon! I am writing to express my complete dissatisfaction with your outsourcing business of Water Heater installation with Delta Mechanical. About 4 weeks ago, I placed an order to replace my home water heater replaced through Home Depot Store #6649, which outsources the service to Delta Mechanical. Upon placing the order, I was told the unit selected was a special unit and would take ~ 2 weeks for delivery. But I would charged for ordering the unit. After waiting 2 weeks, there wasn't any type of notification with a status. Yet, there was NO timing wasted in billing my credit card. I called in after 2 weeks and was given an update on the order. And to check in a few days for an installation date. After couple of days, I called back and was told the installation would take place the next day (10am-2pm). Surprise!!!! I asked why there wasn't any type of notification. An apology was offered. Next day, waited and called back around 1:45 to get a status. I was told the the appoint was to for 11-3pm. On any case, the unit was picked up and arrived damaged. Again, if the unit was damaged which would prevent the installation from happening - why not notify me. I asked to cancel my order. I was transfered to a Manager named George who was apologetic but offered no means to resolved the issue. He asked for some time before canceling the order so something can be explored and resolved. He committed to calling me back the next day. Guess again - No Call. I called back and left a voicemail. Called back again the next day to speak to him again and would not take my call. I was finally able to cancel the order. The whole experience is a major disappointment and represent Home Depot badly. The experience illustrated lack of customer service, customer orientation, professionalism, and plainly respect. I will not be shopping at Home Depot again. read more

I've had Delta install 2 toilets, from Home Depot, for me and have been very happy. Home Depot charges $98 per toilet, the other plumber I called estimated between $105 and $150. Of course I went with Delta. The installer showed up on time both times, was very professional, left everything very clean and was also very pleasant. I'd definitely use them again. read more

Our issue was no hot water. I called Delta Mechanical since they installed our water heater that we bought from Home Depot in 2014. I was quoted $189 to fix the problem and was told that if the part is not available and he has to come back, that there was not going to be another charge. When the technician arrived, and we decided to have the parts shipped, the technician wanted to charge me $189 and that I would be charged again the price when he comes back to install the parts. I explained that is not what I was told when I scheduled the service. So, I called the office again, spoke to a different person and was told again that there was not another charge. The technician insisted and wanted me to sign for the charges and I refused. Called the company again and this time was told that there is going to be another charge and that it has been their policy. I told Patricia that I should not be punished if their employees are not aware of their policy and gives the wrong information out. I would have shopped around if given the correct information. I don't think that anyone in their right mind would pay $378 to replace a heating element! I would have rated this company negative 0 if available. Definitely will not recommend. Our standard tank water heater was leaking and on its last leg, so we decided to go tankless. We decided to use Home Depot because at the time they were offering a 6 months no interest promotion. Delta Mechanical is the installer that answers when you call the phone number listed on Home Depots site, as they are an authorized installer for them. They asked me some general questions like how many people live at the house (2), and how far the water heater was away from the gas meter. I told them I thought it was about 40--50 feet away, taking into account the distance that they would need to run the gas line through the attic. They quickly emailed me an estimate for over $3,000+, and after getting over the initial sticker shock I decided to do it. I scheduled the installation with the person on the phone and was told that the installer would be there between 7am-9am the next morning, as it was an all day job. The morning of the install we got a call between 8am-9am from the installer, saying he was just leaving Sacramento (160 miles away!!!!) and would not be at out house until 11am-ish. Whatever. After his arrival, we were informed that the tankless water heater cannot go in the same place as our tank water heater was, it has to go on the other side of a two car garage, adding another 30' on the plumbing. The installers then called the head office to get us a revised estimate, which jumped to a lovely $5,000+. At that point, we were already unhappy with what had transpired so far, but we still needed a water heater. After a brief discussion, we decided to have them put a standard tank water heater back in, as the cost had got way out of hand. I did give them one star for the actual installation, as it was done professionally. Negative 5 stars for everything else.... My advice: DONT USE THIS COMPANY, PATRONIZE A LOCAL BUSINESS!!!!!! read more

We had to re-pipe our entire house due to several costly pin hole leaks from the original copper pipes 'M' (a big problem in Socal). After evaluating several options, we re-piped with PEX by Delta Mechanical (recommended by Home Depot but you deal with Delta directly). Kellen at Delta was great in arranging the work and at very fair competitive pricing. Todd and Steve showed up exactly on time and did an excellent job! Todd is very experienced planning and mapping the PEX routing and knows all facets of plumbing. Both had a great work ethic and kept all areas clean while working. Drywall cuts were made neatly and patched back and painted to an exact match. Old fixtures were completely removed. Re-piping is not an easy 1 day job and these guys were very knowledgeable, professional and diligent. They also kept us informed especially of several 'tricky' areas which they smoothly resolved. read more

DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS!!! Don't buy a hot water heater here!!!! I went to purchase my water heater from Home Depot - they said I could pay them or pay for the install and the unit all at one time from their contracted partner, Delta Mechanical. I opted to do it all together so I wouldn't have to haul it myself, however that was a big mistake. First, I discovered I was over-charged by $100 for the unit. Delta Mechanical told me that the unit I was buying had a greater "1st hour hot water capacity" (71 gallons versus the actual 60) and the temperature could be adjusted externally (not so - you have to unscrew a cover to make the adjustment versus a simple push button), so I agreed to pay $620 for this "upgrade" that would include these two features I was interested in. After the unit had been installed I see that it does neither of these things. So, I contact Delta Mechanical after discovering I was taken advantage of. After being bounced around to multiple people on multiple days I was told I would be reimbursed $57 for the difference. As I was forced to re-explained to multiple people time and time again after multiple calls on my behalf, I was taken advantage of once again because they only recouped the remaining overcharge - You should know that I negotiated a slightly lower install price, totaling a $67 savings, before they came out which means I still paid more than what should have been charged with the correct price of the unit. Now they refuse to honor the negotiated price adjustment on top of the correctly priced water heater so instead of getting a $67 price break for install services I'm simply getting what should have been extended in the first place.... but with all this hassle, frustration and anger from being taken advantage of by these cheats. Then after reading these yelp reviews, when Delta FINALLY called, I told them I wouldn't dare have them do anything in my home. Delta came out to do my AC unit and the install team was amazing. They discovered issues with my Duct system and instead of hassling me they decided to replace the entire system for free in my quoted price. The entire package was more then I was quoted from others, however the insurance, install, and backing of Home Depot makes me feel extremely confident I did the right thing. I stopped shopping at home depot just because Delta Mech is their go to contractor. I almost didn't let the salesmen in my house because of his appearance alone. Should have just slammed the door in his face and save my self an hour of his bull$&%+. First thing I noticed was the salesmen had no clue about the A/C or furnace he was trying to sell. The unit he tried to sell was oversized by 1.5 tons. That would have ruined the unit quickly. The guy also showed up late and parked his leaky car on my brand new driveway.....so 2 hours of pressure washing this guys mess. They charge same prices as many competitors but they give crap service. Go with someone else I recommend and body but delta mech. read more

Horrible. I was given a time window of 10am-1pm for installation of a hot water heater. I call at 11:30am--"he'll be there" I call at 12:30 "he called in for the purchase order so he'll be there". I call at 1:30pm, "He had trouble with another install--it will be 45 minutes to an hour" I ask how long the installation takes "About 1 and 1/2 hours". Two hours and 15 minutes later the tech shows up. I ask how long it will take (since now I am catching on that nothing I'm told can be trusted). The tech says it takes at least three hours to install. Needless to say, I fired Delta--and since I ordered through Home Depot, they are now fired, too. Run as far and as fast as you can to a different outfit! read more

Excellent customer service. They installed my new toilet today. The installer, Dragan, called when he was on his way. He was a little ahead of schedule and asked if that would be ok. Of course it was. He did an excellent job with the toilet, and had a great work ethic. As an extra, he overheard the noise my kitchen sink was making when the hot water was on and he offered to fix that, which he did, in about 10 seconds. My bathroom etc. was kept completely clean. My landlord called them, and I would call them again. read more

After having a vanity top installed, I was scheduled with Delta Mechanical (through Home Depot) for a reconnect of our sinks and faucets between 10-12 noon on Saturday. At 12:45 I called to inquire why no one had shown up. After a long time on hold, I was told the tech would call in 10-15 minutes. Thirty minutes later the tech called back saying he would be here between 2:30 and 3pm. At 4pm after no one still had not shown up, I called AGAIN and after another extremely long time on hold, I was given a new time of arrival of between 5:30 and 6pm. Believe it or not, he didn't show up till 7pm! I had to sit around my house ALL DAY and had to cancel two afternoon appts and a dinner plan that I had for that evening. Absolutely no respect for the customer! I read some of the other reviews here and agree with a few, that I cannot believe that Home Depot would use a company that has such poor customer service. For sure, I will never use Delta Mechanical again, no matter what. So, if you have any scheduled services with this company, do not hold your breath waiting for them to arrive. Delta Mechanical came out as a repair service for Home Depot on November 27, 2015. The service person could not fix the furnace, charged me $109 for a service call, which I paid by check. On July 31, 2016 (8 months later), I received a letter from Delta Mechanical saying my current order with Home Depot would not be filled since I owed $109. When I finally got through to a human, I was told they had my check all this time, but needed my drivers license number. To end the problem I gave it to them. They lied and threatened me in their letter. I would never let them in my home again. Home Depot needs to partner with a better organization read more

They contracted with Home Depot to install a sink for us. I have never seen such incompetence. They cut up stuff, threw away parts that we had paid for, left a mess. 8/8/2017 On 6/29/2017 Delta Mechanical came out to my residence to perform my last PMP plan service on my AC. All was OK till about 3 weeks later when it got real humid, due to the monsoon storms in the area. I was in my restroom, when I heard water dripping from my ceiling, where my AC was. Upon inspection, the AC emergency pan was full of water due to the regular condensate line being plugged up. Mind you my receipt just 3 weeks ago, said it was flushed out and cleaned. After my own inspection of the condensate line, it was plugged up at the sink, therefore the line was NEVER cleaned as per my PMP plan. The water damage caused by the plugged up drain, was wet insulation and some minor ceiling damage. I called Delta Mechanical the next day with my findings to make a claim, and spoke to Amanda, and at first she seemed concerned, and asked for pictures. I was way ahead of her on that. I already took pictures and a video, and sent them to her, as requested. 3 days go by, and I call her to see if see got them, but all I got was voicemail and the runaround. 3 voicemail's latter and still no phone call back, even though someone said she was in her office and they would switch me over. After a few more days, I called again and the girl was going to switch me over to Amanda again, and I said NO. I want to speak with someone in charge today, she took my info and said she will E-mail upper management, and someone would get back to me. I was skeptical, but she seemed sincere. WOW about 3 days later I do get a call from a guy Roy Gardony, asking about what happened. I explained my situation and frustration, and he almost made it seem as it was my fault for not checking it myself sooner. I told him, that is why I pay your company to do this. Roy told me he would look at the pictures and get back with me by the end of the day which never happened. Guess what? Amanda calls me the next day, and leaves a voice mail on my phone, and says, they had there LEGAL DEPT look at this, and since they NOW have claimed BANKRUPTCY, there is nothing they will do, but give me the court case, if I want to make a claim in BANKRUPTCY court. NOW AMANDA CALLS WITH THIS B.S Home Depot contracts with this company for plumbing installs. Before you buy from home depot, make sure you are getting a reputable contractor and not Delta Mechanical. 2 furnace and an ac installation. They forgot to pull a permit, left the gas running in the house, had to return 4+times. The install person who sold us the items, went missing the next day. The 2nd person who installed the furnace was gone a week later. The first sales rep told us he did not need to even interview for the Job and was given the keys to the truck. Delta left me on hold 3 times for about 15 mins. Finally called me back and gave me by far the highest quote.. $435 vs ultimately what I paid $175 for 2 hour water heater installation. I declined to use their expensive service but was still charged $435 for a service never provided by them. Recap,.. Awful customer service. By far the most expensive. I call them again and they said the "guy" had a flat tire and would be my house about 12:00 PM. Again no call no show up. Called Home Depot to schedule a water heater install was referred to Delta mechanic for the install service. After speaking with the representative from Delta mechanic and giving him all my information home address apartment number what floor the water heater will be located, he asked when is a good time to schedule your install I said to him tomorrow after 2 p.m. Because I work till 2 p.m. The representative said I will schedule your install between 3 & 5 p.m. The next day at 1 p.m. I get a phone call from Delta mechanic technician asking me what apartment number I am in, he says I'm here for your install I tell him that I will not be home till after 2 he tells me I was told to be here at one. I explained to him that I am at work and that I cannot be at home till two o'clock he says I will be back at 3 o'clock for your install . 3 o'clock turns into 4 o'clock 5 o'clock 6 o'clock 7 o'clock 8 o'clock and they never show up or call do not use this company very un organize very unprofessional. I was overcharged twice the price of my water heater of 622.10 for the water heater and an install install of 102.2.8. Double the price of the water + install Home Depot quoted.
