**My experience at this location was somewhat unusual, and while I understand it might have been an off day, here's what happened:** I approached the counter to inquire about the service, and an elderly woman was standing behind the counter with her hands on the register. She informed me that she didn't work there, which was a bit confusing. I decided to walk around and look at the collection, noting that there weren't many signs indicating restricted areas--just warnings that the premises were under surveillance, which I understood. As I walked, I even commented aloud, wondering if it was acceptable to look around. Given that an unrelated elderly woman was behind the counter, I assumed it was fine as long as I was only looking and not touching anything. However, just a few steps in, an older man suddenly yelled at me not to walk there. I found the situation rather frustrating. Lastly, a note for anyone planning to visit: you cannot shoot here with an out-of-state permit. I ended up going to Blue Trail instead, as they do allow it. (To bypass I was told you could kindly rent a worker for $50/hr extra on top of what ever the regular rent and fees were) read more

Delta has had items I could not find in other local stores - including the big "H". When I call, I have been treated with respect, and the employees have always taken a real interest in meeting my requests. Today was my 2nd time visiting the range, I was holding off on doing this review because I wanted to see what my experience would be on both a weekend and weekday being there are some negative reviews but my experiences here have been beyond great! I've visited many ranges trying to find a solid place to shoot and this place is perfect. The staff has been great and the range officer gives you space but is always readily available to offer you support. Delta Arsenal has always been my local indoor range. The Sales staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the Range Safety Officers are very professional. In-person, small-class, live-fire training with Brian Sargent is excellent. Brian breaks everything down to the level where it can be understood, repeated, and (most importantly) practiced and refined. Did a FFL transfer here for a firearm purchased online. The whole process took about 20-25 minutes (most of the wait was getting an associate, as they were quite busy and arguably understaffed). For my first experience in a gun store, it went wicked smooth. I worked with Olivia, who was very personable and quick at getting everything done. They have the 4473 form digitized so you complete it on a Microsoft Surface (super fancy) and it prints a paper copy when you're done and that's what they keep on file. I definitely plan to return for business in the future, and certainly for range time! Huge recommend! read more

I just made the worst experience of my life at Delta Arsenal. This Saturday morning I called them to ask about the Canik TTI combat and they said I'm the lucky one the gun just came in. I drove over one hour and a half to get there and once I was there the gentleman told me the gun is not here. The policy was first come first got it and I accepted that so I decided to rent the rival S and spend some time at the shooting range After I was done, I decided to go back down and get a shotgun once I found the shootgun I liked i went to the desk to finish the paperwork at the desk came another Customer with Canik TTI combat and I asked him when did he get the gun. He said just now so I called the supervisor over to ask what's going on... I finally figured out that they hide the gun from me for another customer that they know better than me. the supervisor was not helpful at all in this situation he told me it is what it is and you have a good day. today I called the new owner to complain and his reaction was not better. He denied everything and said my employees will never do that and he said that I just wasted 15 minutes of his time ‍ read more

I had the privilege of attending Delta Arsenal's Master Carry Weekend training program and though it sounds cliche', it was life changing. I've had my permit, and carried a weapon for more than 2 decades. I can truly say I learned more in these three days than I have in 20 years of owning a firearm. I shoot often, and practice gun safety with my family regularly. Simply put, I did not know, what I did not know. Brian, Doug, Andrew and the rest of the team are all men who have used the techniques they are teaching, in the real world, protecting themselves and our country on the battlefield. Let's face it, civilians just don't get the opportunity to get personal training from Navy SEALS. Their pedigree and base of experience is second to none, and I'm a better, more responsible gun owner as a result of the training I received from them. Frankly it was a true honor to learn from these soldiers. Expect to learn, expect to shoot, and expect to get physical during this course. We were taught techniques to draw our weapons quickly and affectively, along with opportunities to de-escalate potentially deadly situations even after our weapon is unholstered, and even how to fight to reach, and retain our gun in a violent, close quarters situation. One thing that was driven home to me is that a real world situation where you might feel the need to draw your weapon, won't be calm, or nice, or free from physical contact with an attacker. You might need to physically fight hard with your gun drawn to protect yourself or your family. That isn't something I want to learn the for first time during a violent attack. This course offers you the opportunity to see what using your weapon under duress is like in a very real way, under the supervision of experts. Legal consequences and hard questions you need to ask yourself before drawing your weapon are even discussed. The guys at Delta are not lawyers, and certainly don't give legal advice, but they definitely invite you to visit the laws and really consider if carrying, and the responsibilities that go along with it, are right for you and your family. The best part of the training is that it truly gives you the desire and cognitive tools to maintain situational awareness in your daily life. Something that can literally save your life should an unfortunate violent encounter ever happen. Even better, you can potentially use what you learn at Delta, to avoid those situations before they happen. The whole weekend was a real eye opener and I truly feel I'm a safer, more cognizant gun owner because of this class. I feel it is one's duty as a gun owner to ALWAYS continue training and improving your skill set. I intend to return to the class again in a few month with my wife, who also holds a carry permit. The class is perfect for men AND women who own firearms to protect themselves, and the ones they love. The bottom line is you simply won't find better training, from more qualified personnel at this price point anywhere. These men have seen the worst the world has to offer in the course of defending our country, and could not be more sincere in simply trying to train more of 'the good guys." If you consider yourself a responsible gun owner, this training is a must. read more

What a shithole paid for range time for an hour shot for ten minutes absolutely no ventilation breathing in pure lead dust. Had to clear my eye protection every 2 minutes from fogging up .after 10 minutes of shooting lanes closed down due to children shooting Steel ammunition. Wasted my entire lunch hour . HAD HIGH HOPES for this place as a training facility but was severely disappointed the target backs were in disposal condition not even big enough for a center mass target no target clips and the floors hadn't been cleared of brass barely walkable I have seen many indoor ranges and this one is probly in the bottom 2 or 3 I rate this place a 2 on a 10 scale what a waste of.a half hour of my life. read more

Wow, highlybimpressed with this shop/range. First of all, not like it means anything but the building is really cool looking from the outside. Inside is clean and full of products even now when finding things are becoming difficult. Staff members were helpful and not pushy. I went to Delta Arsenal to purchase two handguns. The place was clean and lots of guns were displayed in the cases. The staff was about 4 people and 3 customers. One particular Staff Range Officer/Instructor with the red shirt was having a conversation with another male. Despite what your political views are I believe there's a time and place. This Ranger Officer began to describe the area at which point he worked that was less desirable. I get it, but now the customer is now describing the people that are in the area, "pants hanging on their cheeks, bling on their neck and he went on". At that point, I left. The people that work there do their hardest to teach the dangerous but also the pros of gun safety, control and over all presence. Went in to buy some target ammo. after standing around for a while and noticing most of the three staff on hand were busy tending to other customers, I approached a third male staff who was not busy and only sipping from a bottle of water. I asked this male for assistance and after barking at me (because I didn't hear him the first time), "What do you want?" he then relaxed and said somebody will help me. I stood around for another five minutes or so, waiting with no help. Mr. Thristy then left his water and finally decided to walk over, grabbed the ammo and gave it to another person to cash me out. Either he was taken by my appearance/physicality/race, etc., or was just pure "nasty attitude" (although I watched him engaged the delivery guy with a friendlier tone) Either case, he needs customer interaction training. read more

My friends and I had a great first-time shooting experience with Bryce at Delta Arsenal this past week! We were a group of five and were interesting in giving it a shot (catch that?) but literally had no idea what to expect. With just a couple of emails, we were all set with a private hour lesson with Bryce where the five of us each got to try out our target skills with a Rugger and Glock. They provide everything - eye and ear protection, ammo, guns, etc. Bryce took us up to a private training shooting range, so we weren't just thrown into a large scary gallery - he spent time with each of us, taking us through the safety paces and giving us tips on how to aim & hit the paper! Some of us were a little nervous, but we all felt better knowing that Bryce had 26 years in the police force, and 4 years in the Marine Corp! Everyone at the shop was friendly and not intimidating at all - highly recommend for your first time if you are interested in trying it out! Delta Arsenal is fantastic, nestled so eloquently in the outskirts of Wallingford in the old industrial section where they once built cannons and candles. Now, Delta Arsenal wields protectors, and warriors. From what I am told it is wholly owned and employed by veterans which amazing. When you walk in you are instantly surrounded by intense warrior Navy Seal beards and feel so safe in their proverbial arms. I recently came here for a live fire training for my NRA Basic Pistol course, the range officers are cool, collective, helpful, and professional. They even suggested I make change in my stance in order to increase my accuracy, he winked at me and I continued with an incredibly tight grouping. In six years, after I've gone through the now standard CT permit process I will be going to Delta to purchase my first weapon. I trust the advice of the given their history and experiences. There is also a side booth Battle Werx owned by a Tom that has some amazing custom accessories so that you can make your personal pistol your own. I will be customizing mine using Battle Werx customizable add ons and accessories absolutely. I have never been to Delta before but have heard many positive things. From checking in with Olivia to the interaction with several employees, who asked if they can help us while we waited our turn to shoot, it was a very positive experience. I would highly recommend this range. We needed to purchase extra ammo during our shoot and a busy employee was able to expedite my purchase, much appreciated. I started going to Delta Arsenal because it was the closest gun range near me and I'm glad I did, their range ( or ranges now) are nice and clean, not temp controlled so bear that in mind in the summer it can get pretty toasty. They do let you bring your own ammo which is awesome! (non of that Tula garbage or your hand reloads, leave those at home you hobo!). The owner Doug and the staff I find are helpful and patient, I've taken permit classes here and have done some one on one training with one of their instructors and it was professional and well worth the money. If you are in the market to buy a fire arm they have a decent selection of new and used items, just don't expect to get a smokin deal, I find other albeit larger retailers in the area have better prices. On the up side DA has hands down the best FFL transfer fee $20 . Everywhere else wants $50 or up for what amounts to a 5min phone call. All in all this is a great place to go and train, service is friendly and facility is nice. read more
