I'm a loyal Delta customer, but the ticketing counter gets one star. We arrived early, as instructed by the airline, only to find an empty [devoid of any humans] service counter. I had to go over to American and speak with their agent to find out what was going on. I returned back to the counter to find a small sign that they do not open until one hour before the flight. By then the counter area is backed up with numerous customers trying to get checked in. The Delta team finally arrives and of course they are scrambling around trying to get organized. Very disappointed. Come on Delta, you can do better than this. read more

Just like American Airlines, they charge for luggages. I don't know if it's me, but I think their planes are kinda old and not well maintained inside. I just like the fact that their terminal is closer to Tom Bradley in LA. Plenty of room for improvements. read more

I needed to Fly To Paris and leave right away. I was able to get a seat of choice on both legs of air and go next am. Fly at 6, up at 3 for international departure. No problems. Seats and food were fine. Service was fine. First time on delta and Air France connection. read more

Excellent service, no delays while other airlines (American) were cancelling flights right and left. Needed to change my flight and go home a day early. Went to the counter; they did it for me in abotu 15 mins and I was charged $14. Not bad! Good cabin crew and staff. I will fly with them again! read more

$3,000 for two 1st class tickets from Tucson to Providence yielded: a) Lost luggage, b) no hot food, c) movie system didn't work, d) even 1st class has to pay $5 for internet each leg. e) even though my luggage was lost, when I signed onto delta baggage website to receive 2,500 miles, they system said "you luggage was delivered on time" LOL Since I have over 750K lifetime miles on a competitor, I will stay with them. We found the Delta service to be exceptional. We checked in at Sky Priority with Patrica. She was friendly, helpful and told us she appreciated our business. Check was smooth, fast and effortless. The gate agent at B-2 was very hard to understand as he did not speak very good english but, we boarded with no problems. The Flight Attendants on the plane were also very friendly, helpful and efficient. Our flight to Atlanta was slightly delayed but, it went very smoothly and we actually landed on time. I had an awesome experience, I was a little nervous about flying because of some of the reviews I've read with Delta as well as with others. I had a great trip from Tucson to Portland and from Portland back to Tucson it was awesome and I actually have zero complaints. I have never in my life experienced customer service like Delta provided me this morning. I am moving from Tucson to Atlanta and packed all of my belongings into 3 suitcases. The weight limit is 50 pounds. The first bag was 67 the second one was 74 and the 3rd one 53. I was leaving a bad situation and just trying to get home safe for the holidays. The cost was originally going to be $220 for 3 bags under the weight limit, but because they were all over weight I was looking at $570. I started crying explaining my situation. The clerk at the desk went to go talk to the supervisor, came back and said "merry Christmas, the fees have been waived, just get home and be safe for the holidays." They went ABOVE AND BEYOND. And I will NEVER forget this experience. Thank you so much Delta. You will forever be the only airline I fly with for this exact reason. read more

When I booked this flight the webpage clearly said Delta was not seating unaffiliated passengers next to each other. However, the airline retroactively changed its policy and is now risking its passengers health and safety by increasing capacity levels and making it physically impossible to socially distance. They do not tell you this until you get to the airport and then tell you tough shit you can stat here and wait for the next plane and we won't even guarantee you aren't 3 inches away from someone else. We recently flew LAX to Sydney, economy class, on Delta. We have flown internationally several times before, but not Delta. I am 5' 11" and normal build. The leg room was non existent. My knees were against the seat in front of me for 14 hours. I padded my knees with my jacket but that didn't help much. We flew home via United, economy class, which was much better. So if 5' 6" or less is your height, then Delta will work for you. If not, I would suggest United or investigating some other airline. Never again on Delta. read more

Best airline around!!! Delta costs more than the competition but they deliver superior service that makes it worth the price. Delta is rated 2016 number one airline by Forbes magazine. Committed to continuous improvement customers receive a survey after each flight. The survey asks for feedback about your entire experience with Delta from check in to in-flight service, quality of plane and baggage claim area. To my knowledge no other airline does this. I like how Delta flies newer and well kept planes. The administrative staff, captains and flight attendants are professional and go out of their way to make the customer happy. Delta's points program is generous and fairly applied. Traveling other airlines is a noticeable difference in the quality of everything mentioned above. Delta is unmatched by other airlines for both domestic and international travel. read more

Worst experience I've ever had warning to everyone out there never fly Delta. Flight was delayed to mechanical error for 4 hour they change my flight to American Airlines but forgot to change my husband. By the time they realize the error, I miss the flight. American Airlines told me to go to Delta Airlines to try to get another flight. Went to Delta Airlines talking to Patricia at the desk in Tucson, Az. She automatically told me well we can refund your money or put you on a flight for tomorrow. Patricia was unsympathetic and refused to help me further. I will never fly Delta again. BEWARE OF BUYING TICKETS WITH DELTA. The service provided was tantamount next to criminal. I purchased 2 first class tickets and selected two seats together for medical reasons. I have serious foot injuries and my wife had a complete knee replacement 1 month prior to this flight. I paid full price for two first class tickets. I went to the night before the flight to confirm we had the seats we needed for medical protection and not bump her knee or my feet against anything. I then at 5:45SM received a notification that the seat had been double booked. I have proof of this. I was placed in a lower premium class. I am a college professor and teach customer relations and have an earned PhD in management. I was quite upset. I called your customer relations department to protest and was informed that they had replaced the aircraft and there were fewer first class tickets and there was nothing they could not and we're unwilling to do anything. I was offered a next day flight which would jeapordize my new college professor position. I informed the agent that that her solution was unacceptable due to medical situation. This fell on deaf ears and because I complained the agent/manager offering no apology whatsoever, nor any reasonable accommodation. I was then because the agent was so unprofessional upset. downgraded. I have and will be publishing the proof. She told me that was nothing she could do. She then out of spite. downgraded me again to coach class. I will also provide proof of this. This meant of course that with injured knees and injured feet we would have to walk in a very painful manner at least 3 times as far through the plane on our unprotected feet. The customer service agent even said I should just stick my feet on the aisle. This would have guaranteed further damage. The original email claimed it was because of double booking. It cannot be both double booking and a smaller aircraft. I do have receipt proving her actions. This was a lie. She was rude, uncaring, unapologetic, and extremely unprofessional. We had no choice but to go to the gate and take the seats that would have guaranteed to injur us further. The gate agent heard our plight and offered first 300 then 400 then 500 for any first class customers willing to downgrade. We were publicly humiliated in front of the entire list of passengers. Fortunately two passengers were willing to give up their seats for us. We were not sitting together and both had aisle seats and did get bumped by boarding passengers 3 times causing further damage and an ER visit. We also were not given the choice of food because they ran out. The choice we then had was inedible and we both have allergies to food we should have had a choice of as we paid just as much or more than other passengers. It was very interesting that they could offer 1000 credit toward downgrading but we're unwilling to offer us any reremuneration toward a clear unjust action of thievery in downgrading us while we had clear injuries and had to get wheelchairs in each stop and had that request for wheelchair service on record. We received no apologies whatsoever up to this date. You can rest assured I will be using this example as a dismal customer service for the rest of my professorship carrier. I will file this report on yelp and every review site I ever find. I am still open to an apology and a remuneration for the public humiliation we went through. I very much doubt any apology will ever be forthcoming. Delta has made two enemies for life. read more

So I travel a lot for work, and use multiple airlines. I have been impressed with Delta out of tucson. I usually commute to LA, and it is refreshing to get onboard. The employees are friendly, and aircraft are clean. I think the nice music that delta has playing while boarding, is a great touch. I cannot say the same for American Airlines(read my reviews). I use to be a loyal Delta flyer but their pricing has become outrages in 2018. You can fly 2 people from Phoenix to Boston now on American than one person on Delta. When the next recession hits, Delta is going to struggle. No idea why anyone would pay a premium for what is essentially a flying bus. read more

Worst customer service ever. If you buy a plain-vanilla ticket with no upgrades, then you will be publicly shamed at the airport by the rare customer-service representatives that Delta is trying to replace with machines. They will inform you thirty minutes before your scheduled departure time that the plane was overbooked, so you are going to be on a different flight. This happens when new customers show up, offering to pay extra for your seat. Sorry if you won't make it to your connecting flight or that business meeting. They have flight attendants who should be in jail because they will literally kick their passengers off the plane with no reason and no compensation, trying to blame THE PASSENGER for committing some fabricated offense, instead of admitting that Delta just wants to free up a seat. This airline acts as if their customers were an obstacle to profits, when actually we are the source of their profits. Pick a different airline; this one isn't worth it. read more
