He wanted $650, so my friend followed me there to drop my car off that afternoon ... a half hour later Yakir called me up and said I don't think it's your starter, I think it's just your battery... So he put in a new battery... Told me to pick my car up in 20 minutes... And said if it doesn't start tomorrow, it's your starter, but I really don't think it is... I think it was just the battery. Yakir was so honest .. This is my new auto mechanic. You can't find more honest people than Yakir at Best auto. My car has been working since.

They tracked that to a speed sensor on the right rear wheel. They had replaced the speed sensor once and it was still throwing the same error code. They ordered a replacement speed sensor for the new one that was already put on the car. I had an issue where I really needed the car, they let me take the car without paying and we made another appointment first thing on June 5th so they could put on the next new speed sensor. On June 5th, they put on the next speed sensor and it was still throwing error codes, so it wasn't the speed sensor, they began checking things up to the front of the car. They got to the Hybrid system and I knew they wouldn't work on that. After an hour Carlos told me that he thought it would end up leading them to the ABS module. On Ford products, Ford is the only one that can install modules because they have to be programmed into the car. So, off to Schumacher Lincoln, I went. I made an appointment with Lincoln and told them about the ABS module. They told me they would diagnose the issue and that would be $199.95 + tax. So far Lincoln has had my car for 23 days at this writing. They have replaced the same rear speed sensor, that Carlos replaced, twice. I believe they are charging me $850 for that so far. They told me on August 2nd that they need to remove some parts to look at some wiring and that will take 2 hours at $270 an hour. Today is August 10th and they have not started doing that work. They can not give me a date on when they will fix my car. I will be getting rid of this car and never buy a Ford product again. I'll get a Toyota. Carlos charged me $515 for the speed sensor and the new 12-volt battery, and 1 hour for the diagnostics. His rate is $187. Lincoln has my charge up to $1,390 and I have been without a car for 23 days with no expectation of getting it back anytime soon. I used another Local Mechanic before Carlos and was charged $270 for a battery and a fee to use a credit card. Carlos, Delray Auto Repair is a great, honest shop. I highly recommend them.

Terrible Experience - $2,600 Wasted, Poor Service, and Rude Staff…read more Our experience at Firestone on Atlantic Boulevard in Delray Beach was absolutely unacceptable. My partner spent hours waiting for repairs and paid approximately $2,600, yet the problem was never fixed. We were told that a specific part had been replaced, but we later discovered that it had not been replaced at all. We paid a huge amount of money and received neither the service nor the results we were promised. When we requested a refund, they refused to give us our money back. To make matters worse, the staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They even tried to justify the situation by telling us that we should have gone directly to Hyundai. If you don't have the knowledge or skills to repair a vehicle properly, don't take the job, don't touch the car, and don't charge customers thousands of dollars for work you cannot complete. You should be honest with customers from the beginning instead of wasting their time and money. On top of everything, we were quoted or charged an amount that was almost 90% higher than what we expected for a relatively minor repair. Customers deserve clear estimates, honest communication, and competent workmanship--not excessive charges, excuses, and disrespectful treatment. We are extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency, the poor service, and the refusal to issue a refund. Spending $2,600 and leaving with the same problem is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this Firestone location to anyone. Please be careful, ask for a detailed written estimate, and make sure you understand exactly what work will be performed before authorizing any repairs. We hope management takes this complaint seriously and provides a proper explanation and resolution.

I needed new brakes and rotors on the front and rear, new serpentine belt, replace engine filter, replace cabin air filter, and an oil change to top it all off, so really a quick job but they made it feel like one how prompt and timely they were. They took me in as soon as I got there for my appointment, gave me an estimate of what everything would be, and the final bill was exactly that, plus a few small things I needed done like replacing my windshield washer pump that went out. They kept me updated on the progress of the car (my Nissan Titan so truck really haha), explained everything I didn't fully understand, and even gave recommendations on what to do now and in the future, and how certain components of the car work together for the more technical stuff I wasn't so knowledgeable on. Called local mechanic back home and told typically $1000-1200 job so had them change fuse only and paid $125. Two weeks later when traveled further north for a month the AC was not blowing cold again so took to another shop for which they did a recharge with dye to look for leaks yet could find none and paid them $100. They too advised if had to do full replacement of items mentioned be in the $1000 range so be cautious at this store. Been over two weeks and so far so good.
