I am a good baker myself, so I am always trying different bakeries with a very critical attitude. I was lucky enough to eat one of Delightful Baking Co.'s pumpkin cinnamon rolls last week, from the farmers' market in Tyler. I am kicking myself that I only bought one.
The dough itself is tender and yeasty and pumpkiny. And it is so difficult to make a tender cinnamon roll dough! Usually the outside of the roll is too hard, and the dough is tough or dry. These were perfect in every way -- they could not be improved upon.
Just as good was the carrot/pineapple quick bread. Don't know how they made it so moist, tender, and not too oily or just plain uncooked in the middle. Just wonderful. Also extremely difficult to pull off. I want to go be their intern and learn their secrets.
