I was pretty disappointed with the sweets part of this restaurant- I tried the carrot cake, guava cheesecake, lemon bar and lemon pound cake and it was all pretty dry except for the guava cake, but even that was a bit underwhelming. They were pretty though. Perhaps their savory menu is their specialty and better than the sweets, I will try that next..

My wife and I were super excited to try out this new place! I had been craving a tree leches cake and was intrigued by their cuatro leches cake, was I glad that I went for the cuatro! My wife had the brownie and loved it. I had to also try the guava cheesecake and it was good. Will definitely be back to try the tres leches and have that cuatro again! The ladies behind the counter were very inviting and loved answering questions we had. The sitting area is cute and accommodated perfectly for our dessert date. We will be back.

So many pastry options! First time trying an Arepa and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly. Cozy spot for a nice snack. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend the tres leches as well!

First time coming here, wish I had came sooner! Plenty of choices to choose from, very comfortable atmosphere and staff. The desserts are great! So much to choose from!

Cute sign with a lemon slice as the O in 'lemon.'

OMG! If I lived in Tyler, I would be here all the time! Outstanding customer service and everything recommended to us was exquisite. I had two empañadas--the shredded chicken and the shredded beef. I don't like onions and she told me there were cooked green onions in the beef empañada, but I didn't taste anything except deliciousness. My husband had the arepas--shredded beef and cheese. He felt it was very good and he would order it again. We had to have dessert. I got the guava cheesecake and he got the guava puff and we shared. Wow! So good. On another note, the place was super clean, kid friendly and cheerful.

We absolutely love their cuatro leches cake and decided we wanted one for an event. They do NOT have it the same as they did for their displays at the store. Def do not recommend ordering a cake for an event from them all they did was mix it up in a plastic container non removable. Very disappointed. Called to let them know but did not care.

Fresh homemade desserts. The tres leches and key lime are delicious!!

Fresh homemade everything. Our power was still out so I didn't get any pictures but we will definitely be back! Only one minor complaint... We ordered 6 empanadas and got 2 dime size green sauces. Quit being stingy with the green sauce y'all!!

Fun little spot in Tyler. My parents had found it and we thought it was great! Lots of fun sweets and savories. Coffee and service was GREAT!

Located in unassuming part of Wylie/St.Paul the restaurant is smack down in the middle of the strip along other places I wanted to try. I ordered their Carne Frita con Arroz. Flavorful chunks of pork which came with fried banana, rice, and beans.. Even though I've never had an actual Puerto Rican food, I expected a whole lot of flavor just by reading about cuisine. I really enjoyed the carne frita and thought it is almost similar to lechon kawali (Filipino dish) but this much leaner part of the pig. Service was very friendly, they'll answer any question you might have especially if you are unfamiliar with the names of some of the dishes. This is a family ran business, you'll feel that upon walking in. Very homey and welcoming. You'll be transported to PR while dining here.

Now I'd be lying if I said I actually knew much about Puerto Rican food, or what to expect. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and quickly told to sit where we pleased. I didn't catch our servers name, but he was extremely helpful and recommended our drinks as well as some of the items on the menu. While checking out all the pictures of their food on Yelp, I kept seeing the Cod Fritter pop up! I told him I definitely wanted to try that, probably the best thing I had. We also had Carne Frita, Carne Pernil and a pair of empanadas, one meat and the other cheese. Everything we had was delicious. But their arroz con gandules made everything better. We can't wait to come back and try some of the other items on the menu...

Only giving 1 start because Yelp won't let you post a review without any…read more.. Hubby and I tried them today. It hurts us to see other boricuas serving food that do not have the real Puertorican flavors. If your audience/clientele is not Puertoricans then we guess you're making them happy. Boricuas? Nope! Not sure if they don't know how to cook or don't have good recipes or just don't know how to season boricua style. We had a Tripleta & an empanadilla de carne (beef "empanada"). The Tripleta's meat had no flavor what so ever, and tons and tons of Mayo ketchup. The pernil needs TONS of more seasoning and they need to tone down the Mayo ketchup amount to about 5 notches... Then the empanadilla, the dough you can tell it was too dry so it was not smooth, or it had been frozen to death. Then the beef inside was so incredibly dry that couldn't swallow it without drinking tons of fluids and didn't have any flavor either. And on top of that, it was fried like 10 times longer than what should have been cause it was so hard and crispy it was not even funny. You can do better friend; Eddie needs to know better!!! Research genuine Puertorican recipes or call any boricua friends & learn from them! Best of luck!

I was extremely hungry and always wanted to try Puerto Rican food, it's hard to find a restaurant that only serves Puerto Rican food! This family is passionate about what they do and they "put their whole foot down n this food"!
