When I returned home and opened the sandwich, the turkey bacon was completely burnt. It was entirely blackened, and it was clear the employee still chose to put it on the sandwich. Because of the condition of the food, I returned to the shop. When I explained that the sandwich should never have been served in that condition and asked how something like that could leave the shop, the employee behind the counter immediately took offense. Instead of listening, she attempted to hush me. When I asked her not to interrupt me, her behavior escalated. She became rude, told me to shut up, and her conduct became openly hostile. As a customer of color, it was clear to me that her tone, body language, and level of disrespect shifted the moment I asserted myself. The employee, who was Caucasian, interacted with me in a way that felt racially charged, which made the situation even more troubling and unacceptable. She offered to make another sandwich, but by that point her behavior had already shown a complete lack of professionalism and respect. I declined and requested a refund. She told me the owner was not present and claimed she could not issue one. I made it clear that a resolution was still required. She then contacted the owner, who instructed her to give a cash refund. After retrieving the refund, she placed the money off to the side and threw my change at me, causing the coins to fall onto the floor. This final action reflected the same hostility and racially charged attitude she had shown throughout the interaction. This experience involved unacceptable food quality, unprofessional and disrespectful conduct, and behavior that, from my perspective as a customer of color, was racially charged. Potential customers should be aware of the service issues and the treatment they may face at this location.

When we walked in, the cashier immediately asked whether we were dining in or taking out. We chose to dine in. We ordered the roast beef sandwich and the pastrami sandwich, along with potato pancakes. They brought out a full assortment of pickles and pickled vegetables. Unfortunately, they only offer one diet option: Dr Pepper Zero, no other diet sodas from the fountain or in bottles. The potato pancakes were a disappointment -- mostly batter with very little shredded potato. The pickled vegetables also lacked flavor and didn't really taste pickled. Our table wasn't cleared at any point during the meal, and the waiter stood nearby waiting for us to finish, which felt a bit uncomfortable. The desserts looked amazing, but we were too full to try them. We also couldn't take anything to go since we had plans for the rest of the day and didn't want it sitting in the car. Next time, we'll come back specifically to try the desserts.

However, as you know it slowly deteriorated until I stopped patronizing it. I was initially happy to see it changed ownership. Reading the reviews however, it seems it is continuing to be SUBPAR! The Management apologies are scripted(cut & paste) for goodness sakes!! I think I'll pass! Fortunately, when I go back home periodically, I have several solid authentic options.

I visited on 4.28.2026 for breakfast. I ordered a side of breakfast potatoes, bacon, scrapple. The breakfast potatoes tasted like the old lukewarm potatoes you get from a hotel lobby. Six bucks!! The bacon was ok. Just ok. The scrapple was good. The hot tea (Lipton Tea Bag)... chef's kiss!! I'm good on this place. I had a great run w them for many years.

The food is served via cafeteria style in a quick fashion. You are able to watch your food being cooked which has its positive and negatives. The negative is the kitchen needs a full deep cleaning along with the staff T shirts which has clear evidence of grease and food stains. The drink included with the platter is tea, coffee or a soft drink. None of the bottled drinks are included as signs are posted on the refrigerator doors. I explained to the cashier that I don't drink coffee at all, I only drink tea for a sore throat and I don't drink soft drinks for breakfast. I was inquiring for an additional drink option as I only purchased the breakfast platter because the drink was included. There are no options as I purchase a bottled orange juice to drink instead. There is open seating available with TV to watch while you eat. There is also a bakery and deli counter inside as well. Pretty good parking available outside. I will likely return but, hopefully some feedback will bring about some changes.

It's a smallish space and indoor seating was really full at 11 AM on a weekday. Because of rain, the outdoor benches were not in use, and I saw closed-up patio-umbrellas too. I ordered from a kiosk or you could order online or in person. I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was made quickly by welcoming staff. It was a regular size croissant with very light cheese and a layer of crispy bacon pieces in a well toasted croissant. The flavor was good. This café also sells a number of beverages, including fresh ground espresso, and various teas And they sell some bakery goods, candies, and quite a variety of dry-packaged teas and coffee. The parking right in front Café Jun can get pretty full, but there's plenty parking in the rest of the shopping center. You can enter the shopping area from eastbound US-40 Baltimore National Pike, or from westbound Frederick Road. It's just east of Centennial Lane/Bethany Lane and about a mile West of US 29. The larger shopping area has a diner 3-strip mall sections, one of which is called Princess Shopping Center, so I'm a little confused which mall-name covers which shops. They have a summer concert planned! That should be fun!

People do seem to respect the 90MIN seating window though so you should be able to find a seat. You order and pay at the counter first and then they give you a table number card. This is how they find you to serve your food. I ordered a regular matcha latte, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on croissant bread and their famous croffle. I loved their matcha latte. It's pre-sweetened so no need to add extra vanilla syrup or anything. This does not taste like a traditional matcha, which in my opinion tastes like dirt. This is a sweeter, dessert like matcha. I didn't care for the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was kind of dry and it tasted like something was missing. The croffle was amazing. It has a nutty, pecan like taste to it and it was topped with vanilla gelato and blueberries. I couldn't really taste the maple syrup but it was delicious nonetheless.
