This was one of the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experiences I've had at any salon. What makes it worse is that I had been here three times before for the "organic caviar" treatment and was treated completely differently. The moment I chose a different service (pro-addiction repair), the owner's demeanor changed. He repeatedly pushed his own treatment, undermined the one I selected, and was clearly annoyed that I didn't go along with what he wanted to sell. The haircut itself ended up far shorter than what I asked for. When I calmly pointed that out, instead of listening or taking any accountability, he became defensive and argumentative, insisting it was "shoulder length," and then made an inappropriate comment about my bra line to justify it. That is not just unprofessional--it's completely unacceptable. In the middle of my treatment, I was told to get up and pay "to make sure." That alone was insulting. It got worse--I was then left waiting while he attended to other clients, making it very clear that I was not a priority, despite being in the middle of a service. I have never been treated that way anywhere. The atmosphere in the salon reflected the same lack of professionalism. I could hear him raising his voice at employees, which created a tense, uncomfortable environment from start to finish. The message was obvious: if you don't choose the service he wants to sell, your experience will suffer. There was no respect, no accountability, and no basic professionalism--just pressure, dismissiveness, and inappropriate behavior. I have gone in the past with my 4 daughters and we all did organic caviar. I found the owner to be condescending but was happy with the treatment so I went back. They make up the prices ranging from $150 (probably a promotional price at the time ) and $400!!! Apologies in advance for the long review. I have a medical condition that causes my nails to grow in painfully, especially in fingers that are dominant. This April, I had to have my index fingers, thumbs and middle fingernail surgically removed. The pain was just too much. I resigned myself to wearing bandaids to cover up my 5 nail-less fingers, and while it was nice to be pain-free, I felt really self conscious wearing bandaids in public all the time. Fast forward to this summer, my husband and I decided to get pedicures at Delacqua for his birthday. The tech that did my pedicure was Maria. What I noticed right away was that Maria is very gentle (my toenails can be painful also). She has a way of making you feel comfortable, and she's very kind. I mentioned my condition and she made a few recommendations. I loved the Pedi and I got really good vibes, so I decided once I'm done healing, I think I found who's going to fix my hands. I finally decided it was time and booked the appointment with Maria for last Saturday. The consultation was detailed and thorough. She asked about my sensitivity levels and tested my nail beds by touching gently with tools. She asked what my doctor had said. She mentioned she had other clients who had medical conditions that affected their nails too. Really it felt like a mini medical consultation, she was that thorough. She then explained what she could do, and what wouldn't be possible, and what she could try. Maria crafted nails for me using gel extensions for the index fingers, thumbs and middle finger. Note that due to the surgery I had NO natural nails on those fingers at all, just skin and tiny nubs of scattered post-surgical regrowth. The manicure itself was painless!! She's the most gentle nail tech I've ever gone to. I'd actually stopped getting my nails done in the 90's because I couldn't tolerate the painfulness of it. Maria basically reconstructed my hands. I can't recommend her enough, especially if you are sensitive or suffering from a medical condition that affects your nail growth. Also her work is positively gorgeous! This salon isn't good I went there yesterday. Let me tell you that they were treating other costumers better they were bringing them coffee without them asking. So I went there with my mom she wanted to dye her hair and wanted there massage. They made us wait 2 hours just for her to get her hair cut. And there management is the worst I've ever seen before. There was no manager or boss in the salon.And because of this me and my mom had to wait 3 hours for the massage . But the worst part is that they wasted half our day because we were waiting on the massage yet the person who was gonna do it didn't tell the so called " management " that they weren't coming. So they waisted my day. Than when I would ask when the massage was because it was already 2 and we have been there since 8am.There employees kept brushing us off and kept telling us I don't know when we asked when our appointment was gonna start. Absolutely love this salon! I've been a few times for caviar keratin treatment and for hair cut and had a great experience every time. Girls working the front desk along with the hair stylist are all very nice. I think my longest wait was 10 minutes and I was offered a beverage (which includes coffee, tea, water, cappuccino etc) while doing so, otherwise I never wait. One word, AMAZING! First, every one wears a mask, everyone wipes and disinfects everything. They start by sanitizing your hands, bottom of your shoes and do a temp check. To the amazing staff, manager, hair stylists, makeup artists, and of course Alex (the owner). I got ready at Delacqua for the biggest day of my life, my wedding! I, along with 7 others (bridesmaids and my beautiful mother), got our hair and makeup down at delacqua. It went as smooth as butter, even smoother! We were greeted with open arms, fully taken care of the entire time we were getting ready, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Each person had a time slot for their hair and makeup and it went great. Each one of my bridesmaids looked absolutely breathtaking. My mother felt beautiful and I felt like a princess. I hope that each bride has the same breath of fresh air while getting ready and I truly believe that booking Delacqua will provide for that breath of fresh air. We had the limo pick us up from the salon and the photographers were able to come and take photos of us getting ready. Alex went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and very well hydrated. He also suggested that we bring bagels for everyone to actually eat. And he was absolutely brilliant in suggesting that! Everyone was able to eat before it got to crazy and there was no fainting from lack of food at the wedding (Thank you god!) I went this weekend to get the caviar keratin hair treatment. The salon was running a special for half the price. They owner was there, he was very welcoming and friendly. They started the process right away. My hair was pin straight and so shiny after it was done. You can't wash it after 72 hours..I still haven't washed it but I'm definitely loving it. I'm pretty sure that it will continue to look great. They did a nice job and for the price it was great. Definitely going back for other hair needs. I highly recommend. My hair is fairly low maintenance so I rarely go to the same place twice, usually to whatever's nearby. I went to Delacqua back in April and got a haircut from Bessie. I went with a trim. Service was quick, exactly what I wanted. I had no complaints but I didn't think I'd end up there again since I'm not usually in the area. However I was in the neighborhood today and in need of a haircut. I stepped in and asked if they had any availability. I was greeted and helped right away. Edward really goes the extra mile to make you feel like a valued customer even if you're not a regular. He helps you with your coat, takes your bags and offers a wide array of beverages. I got my hair washed by a friendly employee. It was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. Then I was seated at Bessie's station again. I asked her to just do whatever cut she thought would look good. She said she'd do a lob and I said sure. Bessie is my favorite kind of hair stylist; she is warm and inviting but she doesn't force conversation.
