I've been going here since 2020. I have Asian hair, and I'd been to a lot of places that just don't…read moreknow how to handle it. I'd show them a picture of something blonde and I'd always get orange back. This is the first place that actually gives you what you asked for. You show them the picture, and when you're done, you look like the picture. And if he can't do it, he tells you straight up what's possible and what you'd have to do to get there. When you sit down in the chair, two women section your hair into the thinnest layers and work a ton of product through it. Joe keeps immaculate written records on little postcards about everything you've ever done there. He knows exactly what you got last time and how it went. That's almost seven years of records now, and it's amazing. Then I usually go to Yuki for the cut. She gives you this incredible layered cut that looks like it takes her no effort at all, and she's friendly. I really enjoy her. When she's done they take a professional photo of you that Joe sends you right away, and he posts it on his Instagram. It's honestly one of the highlights of the trip. It also leaves you a record, so I can look back almost seven years and see what I asked for at the beginning and how it turned out. It's a really nice way to grow old with a business. Joe himself is great and everyone there is wonderful. They always offer a moisturizing treatment, and at $10, given how long you sit there and how many times you get shampooed, it feels like a steal. I can't recommend this place highly enough, because I don't think anywhere else comes close to what they do. And it's always packed, so clearly I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Went back in to touch up and lighten my balayage and a treatment about a month ago. My hair is…read morewavy/ curly and rather fine, making it a little difficult to work with. The result of touch up came out very beautiful! I did do the 3 to 4 step Milbon treatment as the first time I came here and my hair was soft for weeks. I honestly think that Joe does a wonderful job deciding and helping clients with the choice of color and he is honest in how much lighter a person's color can get. My hair was lightened to a level that I wanted, and Joe gave me advice on how to maintain the salon's treatment before the next treatment. The salon's environment was very very busy when I came in, and I was happy to see all the customers that the salon could handle efficiently all at the same time. The hair stylists and colorist keep an eye out to prevent the bleach from over processing and I didn't feel like I was left stranded for a long time by the staff while my color was processing. Can't wait for my next visit back!

Went in for a haircut today, but I am here for the massage I received. I was only expecting a…read moreregular hair wash and some added head massage as that's the norm at Chinese salons, BUT I felt like I went to a spa instead. Towards the end of my hair wash, my masseuse from northeastern China (this is what I'm going with) worked on my head, neck, shoulders, upper arms, and even my lymphatic system. This was such a relaxing pampered experience. BTW, I am also happy with my haircut.

I had messaged ahead of time to ask for cost and was told it's $36 and might go up depending on length. I have medium length hair and was only doing a 1inch trim and my hair came out to be $45. So I'm not sure what it's "dependent" on but I won't be coming back. I don't understand why longer hair or shorter hair would cost more or less when you're trimming 1inch or less. I purposely didn't choose a stylist to see if it would make any difference and in me not choosing it cost more than when I chose one last time. If u check my previous reviews I posted that it cost $36 and my hair is always the same length when I go for trim. Dislike this non transparent pricing. Also I was quite dissapointed in the hair wash today (had the male) didn't use any pressure and when he saw someone he know come in he rushed through my wash. Was my cut worth $45? Absolutely not, there are plenty of salons I could have went to that cost significantly less...Where the stylist would ask how I wanted to part my hair and how I wanted it styled after. None of which was asked.

We passed by Hair Corner while having lunch next door at Happy Home and figured why not? Kids went in for a quick trim with Ray. (No wash) + $3 tip. (Total spent $26) - happy kids.

The boss lady is one friendly, diligent, and competent. She has cut and dyed my hair in its various lengths and colors (black to brown). There is also a popular nail lady and a guy stylist who have been there for a while. All three of them have regulars like myself. Part time staff flow in and out. A cut for short and medium hair has been around $15. This place takes tips. They speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. They frequently have customers who happen to speak Russian and Spanish, and they are patient with understanding what customers want. I would recommend this place for a wash and blow dry, hair cuts for any range of hair (including undercuts), hair dying, and highlights.

It was a nice and affordable spot, with a wash and cut for only $26 ($23 for a haircut only). The wash includes a good head massage, just the way I like it. My hair looked great afterward, but I was admittedly annoyed because I'd asked my hairstylist to leave my "bangs" long enough to comfortably tuck behind my ears. She didn't take that into account, so while the left side was fine, it was a couple inches too short on the right. My hair kept falling into my face and was, for months, the very nuisance I was trying to avoid. I'll still return given the price and otherwise good quality, but I'll just have to be vigilant about spotting and constantly reiterating what I'm looking for.
