I was looking for a new hair salon that will cut my hair short for me. After reading mixed reviews, I finally decided to give it a try. The hair stylist did an awesome job. I showed him a picture and he did it exactly the way the photo was. He listens to what you want and explains things perfectly. The hair washer gives you a facial and neck massage while she washes you hair. It is so relaxing. The best part of this place is that they take credit cards AND cash. I went there to discuss the services I needed, and price. I was told $140 for hilites/$300 for extensions (bringing my own hair.) Went back after a few days to have it all done. Phoenix, the "manager"/receptionist/hairstylist, looked miserable doing my extensions. After about 2 hrs, he blowdried my hair (for 5 minutes) & quickly showed me the back w/a mirror. He then tells me total is $485. Charged me an additional $45 to "style" my hair (5 min blowdry- no cut, no curls, nada) which I never asked for. OK I paid..less tip for them, no problem. Next day few pieces fall out, & ppl were telling me they see all the beads! Why would a "professional hairstylist" let a client walk out like that?! Cuz they care about MONEY, NOT PROFESSIONALISM! I had a wedding the next day, so had to rush & remove myself all the 150 pieces he installed! I went there today for a partial refund, & it was like talking to a wall. He didn't care nor understand English & what I was saying. All he kept saying was "no refunds, it's not my fault u didn't like it!" LIKE?! U did an awful job that looked like a child did it. I've gotten used to blowing out my own hair during the last 13 months or so but it's gotten pretty exhausting. I figured it's finally time to turn this back over to the professionals! I pass by Chloe so many times as I do my errands along Ave. U, and am always impressed at how generously spaced out the stations are and how immaculate the salon is. Today I walked in for a wash and blowout. The lady washing my hair was very nice and made sure I was happy with the water temperature. She also used the perfect amount of pressure while washing my hair. No yanking my head around like a yo-yo like some other places! Jerry was my stylist and he was wonderful as well. With very minimal direction from me, he gave me a terrific blowout. The price was super reasonable and I was in and out in 45 minutes. She said it's fine. After the hair cut , she got upset and started yelling at the hair stylist. Lol, she got upset because she wasn't happy with her haircut and it was too short. her husband said it's fine and tipped the stylist , but she took the tip back lol. This place has to be closed! I am yet another customer who went in for ONLY trimming the hair ends by 1 inch, nothing else, left with one side 2 inches shorter than the other side. This is the absolute worst place I was unhappy with my color the highlights were horrible the cut uneven and not what I wanted. When I confronted the owner he was irate and said it was my fault. When I asked him what kind of business man are you treating clients like this he got even angrier. Ripped my card up threw it at me screaming at me and says $150.00 no offer to fix it or anything as he's shoving the stuff at the counter at me. I start walking out the door and he starts chasing me grabs my arm and says I have cameras I'm calling the cops. I said go ahead there was a nice man who worked there who said I fix it and I give him my cc. The cops came and even they were wth . I'm disputing the charge. NEVER GO TO THIS POS PLACE. Had he even tried to do something I would have been fine shit happens he tried to say it was the color. The sad part is if you look at the photo I showed him it has the base color toner and highlights right there on t. So obviously not a colorist or stylist. Did I mention if you pay cash no tax if you pay with card they add tax. That will be the icing on the cake when I dispute this charge which I am even if I have to take it to civil court. This place is absolutely fabulous it's probably one of the best hairdressers in Sheepshead Bay that's located on Avenue U there was several people in there including the owner. He always seems to be able to pick the best hairdresser for walk-ins.There is a nice relaxed "feelgood" feeling when I walk in there.The salon is modern,clean ,and well organized. don't go here for coloring at all!!!!!!! they damaged my hair so bad especially from bleaching bc they didn't know what they were doing. they are good for basic wash and blow and even then depends who you go to. they had the girl that washes hair and some other chick color my hair which they fucked up and started speaking japanese to talk about the fuck up and then the actual hair stylist had to fix it up. i'm so disappointed. then they overcharged me for fixing their fuck up! read more
