I waited and it was no suggestion sales in the drive-through. I waited in the drive-through when I got one car in front of me. She said she'd be right with me not a problem. I said that was great cause I had not made my mind up anyway, but then I got all of my food, number one I got my food paid for it by tap my fries with lukewarm and the fries with limpy not cooked all the way she forgot my straw she called me back for the straw and I have no ketchup in my bag and I asked for ketchup and the hottest sauce they had and she gave me just regular hot sauce and I know there's another hot sauce hotter than that. They have independent poppers and slow cooked tacos on the window voted the best fast food restaurant in the USA today, 2024 well that was a year ago so I'll give them that and they remodeled the outside and repainted it but their service need to keep on moving and improve and then a big bag of trash sitting outside the dining room door when customers walk in unacceptable read more

Let's be honest, nobody ever says "I feel like Del Taco today." Well I come here about once a year for the birthday milk shake offer. Somehow every year there is a line in the drive through and it moves ridiculously slow. Same experience this year as last year. Standiford Road has a Del Taco, and so does Sylvan, except that they're merely different sections of the same physical road. This one is further east of Beyer Park, while the other is at Carver Road. They each have some outdoor seating and a play area. Service was friendly, and I ordered my (so usual) Fire-Roasted Veggie Bowl (given that it's the only veggie bowl, why do I have to say "Fire-Roasted" in a movie announcer's voice, to boot? I added taco meat. My buddy ordered bean and cheese burritos and fries. I love their fries! They take a little while to finish an order and the drive-thru was busy anyway, so we waited about what we expected--longer than a burger place, less than Taco Smell where you need vacation time. The food was hot and tasted fresh. They were cleaning the dining room as we ate, which was great to see. (I have some doubts at other places if they ever clean at night. After all, at 11 a.m., should a place without a breakfast menu have a dirty dining room?) If they went over the top, it would have been rated at 5 stars but it was a good experience. read more

My family loves Del Taco, but everything I go to this Del Taco, they always mess something up. Whether they forget food, get something wrong, or hand me the wrong order, it's always something. Case in point, out last order. Ordered a Bean Burrito with no sauce, Go Bold. Ended up with bean burrito no sauce with 2 scoops of guacamole, which we were charged extra for, of course. Tried to order a snack quesadilla with no queso for my daughter and was told that, "The manager said that we cant do that" (which is weird, because you can do it on the app). Tried to order a full size quesadilla with no sauce instead, and didn't even receive it at all. Just drive down the street to the other Del Taco on Standiford and Carver instead. They are much more consistent and cheaper to boot. read more

Absolutely nasty place, had I noticed the filth, I never would have ordered the food! I observed one female employee, appeared to be a manager, working the food assembly line. This lady appeared to be having a problem with allergies or just a runny nose. She looked like she was gonna sneeze, kept wrinkling her nose/face, rubbing her nor with her arm. Eventually she took a deep breathturnednher head and sneezed into her shoulder. What made me disgusted was that she failed to quickly walk away from the food assembly area, instead she continued to work, never changing her gloves... She needed r ok step away, blow her nose and then properly wash and put on clean gloves. The restaurant itself was dirty, not a clean booth in the place! Food pieces on the ground everywhere human hair on the table of the booth I sat at. One employee eventually came out to the seating area to empty the trash cans. Instead of taki g the trash directly outside via the double doors, he rolled full Van's of trash directly past the food assembly line, exposing the food to the trash. The food assembly line area itself is very dirty and has not been swept or cleaned up in hours, there is food spilled all over the floor. A manager just now handled trash, then went over to the food assembly line, never washing or putting on clean gloves, this place is so nasty! Just now as I'm typing this, I saw yet another employee sneeze on the food assembly line. She sneezed 8nto her hands, never stopped to change gloves, instead she kept getting the ordered together. The only reason it got one star from me is because it wont allow you to write a review unless you give it one star. Ill start off with, i understand when youre ordering off the dollar menu at a fast food chain you cant expect high expectations. But when i order five tostadas and i only see beans on two of them, thats a little disappointing. But not as disappointing as when i took it to the girl at the counter to show her and her response was, "thats why its a dollar". Nothing like paying for just a shell. If they are gonna advertise tostadas for a dollar, they need to be specific and make sure it says "shell only" . read more

I had a horrible experience. The manager was extremely rude. I wrote to corporate to complain 3 months ago but I have not heard back from them so I thought I'd post here. Back in October I ordered 3 grilled chicken tacos and 3 soft del tacos from the drive-through. When the cashier handed me my bag I checked it and saw that he gave me 3 crunchy beef tacos by mistake. I handed him the bag back and told him that I ordered soft tacos. He took the bag to the back of the store and came back and handed it back to me and told me that I didn't say "soft" when I ordered them so he couldn't exchange them. I told him that I recently had dental work done and I couldn't eat crunchy tacos so I was very specific when I ordered them and for a fact, I did ask for soft tacos. He then asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. I said yes and she came and told me that she was not going to exchange them because I didn't order soft. At that point I was about to just ask for my money back so I could go order from a different location but before I could say that she told me, "I'm going to do it this time but next time you come make sure you say it right." I wrote to corporate because I wanted them to know that I felt extremely disrespected and I wanted them to have a talk with the staff at that location about how they should be talking to customers. I realize that some people may try to pull scams to get free food but that was not what I was trying to do and I don't appreciate being talked to in that manner. Never once did she entertain the idea that the cashier misheard me or pushed the wrong button when taking my order. I drove away feeling very humiliated and disrespected and I hope the manager is reprimanded and told not to speak to customers that way again. read more

Not bad for fast food! We're east coasters and this blows Taco Bell away! The pork street tacos had yummy pork meat on them! I loved the platter came with rice and beans and chips! I also tried the taco salad with beef and it was quite a large salad with good toppings! Really filled me up for just a salad with a small side of chips! Pretty impressed for a quick bite! read more

2 stars for the food only. I went into the drive thru last night, ordered one thing off the menu from a male employee before being told to "please hold" by a female employee. After 5 minutes with no response, and answer from the intercom, I drove to the window where a male employee was standing, he opened the window and asked..."were you done ordering?." I went through the Del Taco drive thru tonight on Sylan Ave. Conner was the employee who took my order. He was very friendly. I usually don't smile while while giving my order, tonight I did. Conner has great customer service and seemed happy to be working tonight. He repeated my order back to me and thanked me for coming by for dinner. Food was good and exactly how I ordered it. So...I went to the Del taco today, and when I got there, the first thing I did was head to the bathroom to wash my hands. Normally when I go to wash my hands, I'm afraid. Not to wash my hands mind you, but of the the bathroom. That's right, public domain restrooms, are not places that I really would want to rest in, but this bathroom, was DIFFERENT. The bathroom was spotless, there was soap, TP, butt gaskets(seat covers), and adequate paper towels and the biggest...dare I even go there, because it's rare, but IT SMELLED AWESOME!!!!!! This is early evening too. So, I washed my hands and went to the counter. Right away we were greeted and our order taken, THE RIGHT WAY! I went to the play area, as we had 2 kids with us. A school age, under 10, and a toddler, aged 1 1/2. I grabbed a high chair, and realized it was sticky. I went up to the counter and asked if they had disinfectant wipes, and the guy that took my order said no. I told him that I had wanted to cleanse the high chair of its stickiness, and he said, "Oh give me a second and I'll do it for you" I thought he was going to dawdle but he grabbed a clean rag, put hot water and soap, and followed me to the play area, and clean the chair. he also decided to do a quick control wipe of all the empty tables, and went back into the lobby. I looked around and saw that the whole play area was clean, EXCEPT...I noticed that he missed a spot...as I looked under the table next to me, and found....a Dollar! I pocketed my prize, and went and got the food. We ate, and the food was awesome. My only regret, is that my toddler daughter left a mess. As we were leaving however, I saw him in there cleaning up! I would totally recommend this Del taco, or at least while he is on shift. So it gets full marks from me, and this is a big rarity, as I am not afraid to leave scathing remarks on a comment card, regarding shoddy service....AFTER I've eaten of course...I'm no fool, I know better than to mess with people who fix my food...and this was before I watched waiting. lol read more

All the reviews seem to address the tastey food, which I won't deny the FOOD at Del Taco is great, however the service is TERRIBLE. I've never had a '5 Star' experience at this particular location. The staff is irritating, and often times, they have no clue how to do their jobs. Perhaps because they spend their time mouthing off in the kitchen and behaving like they're attending a social event rather than being at work. I believe in having fun at work during downtime, but to a certain extent. My first bad experience here; I was sitting in the lobby, and over heard a child (child 1) in the play area say something offensive to another child (child 2). The mother of child 2 went to complain to management because there was no parent with child 1. It turns out the manager (a hispanic male) was using his work as a daycare. I understand that times are hard, but I wonder how corporate or HR would feel about this guy abusing his power at work, by turning the play area into his own private daycare. Also, I have yet to receive precisely everything I order in the drive-thru. I've complained twice about this, and it continued to happen until I finally stopped going here. If you're ever in the area, and are looking for a place to eat, I'd suggest you go to the Burger King across the parking lot. If you have no standards, and don't mind the irritating staff or terrible mariachi music, then this may be the place for you. read more
