A great fast food place in Manteca for kids! To me, Del Taco and Taco Bell are pretty similar foodwise, but what makes this place a 5-star to me (and over many other fast food places in Manteca) is that they have an indoor playplace for kids. There used to be a McDonalds in the area that had a playplace, but it was removed in a recent remodel. So if you have little kids, I would highly recommend this Del Taco as a place to get some food and to let your kids play too. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Today about 445pm I went thru the drive thru before work. I waited about 15 min for their Lobby is closed due to covid 19. I ordered two fish tacos. No pico extra line and extra cabbage. I paid for my food and pulled around by front door to get my food out of bag so I could eat on way too work. The fish tacos literally was fish and the tortilla. They put no cabbage no sauce. I looked over at the line and it was still long. Longer then when i first went thru. I seen a couple employees cleaning the lobby so I walked to the door thinking I could tell them the error and they could fix and bring to the car or I could wait at the door. I tapped on the door and a young man who appeared to be about 20 came to the door. He didn't even open it. I explained to him what happened and he told me I had to go thru the drive thru again to fix it. I explained I already went thru the drive thru and they made the order wrong. He looked at me and said he didn't care and to fix it I would need to go thru the drive thru. I was appalled. I explained to him that I didn't have time to wait another 15 min and again I had waited and they made the error. He told me "I don't care , and you can complain we are a franchise so it won't matter" I asked for his name and he said Vladimir which I'm not even sure if he told me the truth on that! He said he was the manager and I needed to go back thru the line. I left my food in the bag at the door and left. We eat at this del taco a lot. Not anymore. I will take my money elsewhere. I treated him with respect and I didn't get it in return. Go elsewhere!!!! Unless you want your money stolen and crappy food and even worse service. Drove past the Del Taco employee swinging that sign around with the latest deal on it more times than I can count. Never paid attention to them since people on the corner are a regular thing around here, you learn to ignore them. Today (1/18/2011) the wife and I looking for a quick and cheap bite to eat are heading past the Del Taco with no intention of stopping. That is until the wife sees a sign where normally the circus act would be going on, and she yells out "49 cent bean and cheese burritos!" next thing we know I'm making a hard right into the parking lot to take advantage of the deal, completing forgetting of previous plans. Always being a Del Taco fan, I had no doubt I would be enjoying my lunch but 49 cent burritos seem too good to be true. So we walk into the restaurant and ask the employee at the register if it's true. She assures that it is, not only burritos but tacos as well. Bare in mind these are the most basic of tacos and burritos, no extras at all, although you can add stuff to your food but of course it comes with a price. And the priciest thing we ordered was our small drinks, but they figure if you're gonna eat, you need something to wash it down with. But, our food is what I'm used to, taste and quality were top notch, service was fast. People seemed friendly until a white shirted gentleman working the counter and I made eye contact. His uninviting glare that he gave me is why my review was only 4 stars. Would definitely go back for a nice cheap meal, hope these 49 cent tacos and burritos are here for awhile. Oh and a tip for the marketing dept at Del Taco. Putting an actual employee on the corner with a sign which is flipped around constantly makes a person driving by may find it difficult to read. Orders are always correct and hot. Employees behind the counter are always nice and helpful. I tried their fish taco and it was really good, especially with mild sauce. My boyfriend and I went to lunch here recently and we realized we didn't need 2 orders of french fries which came with our orders. Their food is very filing. Next time we will figure out what makes more sense for us without wasting food. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. We decided we will add this restaurant to our quick food arsenal. read more

If I could give less than 1 star, I would! After I placed my initial order, I went back to purchase cheesecake bites. While waiting I watched an employee help with do some sort of maintenance under a deep fryer, I think. As she was getting up, she had both hands on the ground to get up, went right over to the drive through window, filled orders, passed out drive through customer's food, then went and filled my order and handed me my bag. SHE NEVER WASHED HER HANDS!! I walked over to the manager, handed her my order, told her the problem and asked for a refund. She refunded me my money. She didn't address it with the employee, gave me my refund. This is totally gross, and when I told the manager that she is still handling food and passing it out to people, she said she would handle it. At no point did she call her away or address it, while she continued to handle food. After this I left. read more

The 3 stars goes out for the food. It's decent for the price nothing to rave over, but their staff is so rude. We came in one evening and it wasn't busy at all. We were at the front counter and waiting to get our order taken but of course we weren't even acknowledged. When we came in it wasn't as if they were hurting for staff. Customer service is on point. It was my first time eating at Del Taco and I was there for the Beyond Meat Taco. It was so nice to have patient people who helped guide me to my other food choice. I am am impressed! Thank you ladies (it was all women working when I went in). My dinner was great and my strawberry lemonade was on point! When I come home to visit my grandparents and we are in doubt about what to eat for lunch, this our go-to place, just around the corner. The food, though obviously not gourmet, never fails to satisfy that craving for a cheap bean burrito or crunchy taco. In addition, the service is always friendly and quick. We love Del Taco and started coming to this location because it's around the corner from my obstetricians office. We're from Tracy and sadly, we don't have one in town. I look forward to my check ups every month because we get to come here afterward and get lunch loaded chicken nachos are soooo good. Taco bell truly can't compare. Our food is always delicious and fresh. And for an Irish girl like me, having the option to order French fries with our tacos is a plus as my husband says, "tracy can't handle a del taco" read more

I am 31 years old and today was the very first day I've ever tried Del Taco. The reason I finally did try it was because I am a vegan and wanted to try their beyond tacos and beyond burrito. The only Del Taco is in the next town over so it is a 15 minute drive for me. I got there and thankfully no one was in the drive thru. I ordered two beyond tacos, no cheese, add avocado. I asked for one 7 layer beyond burrito no cheese and no sour cream. I get my food, check that it's two tacos and a burrito and leave. I make the 15 min drive back home so excited to try my tacos and burrito. I open up my first taco and it is filled with cheese. I open up my second taco and it is also filled with cheese. There are two tacos I paid for but will not and cannot eat. I opened up the burrito and thankfully they were able to get one thing right. I ate about only half of the burrito, it just wasn't made well. The burrito wasn't wrapped right so it just fell apart with every bite. I really like beyond meat, but the way Del taco has seasoned it makes it taste terrible. So disappointed in my first and probably last experience at Del Taco. read more

It's a drive-thru location for 95% of its customers, so being the 5%, I enjoy the quiet restaurant, which is nice 'n clean, and the counter folk manage to capture my oddball order to perfection. Superb! read more

Got a burrito there today and like an hour later my boyfriend and I got food poisoning last time we eat there

Well after not getting service at another establishment (bk) several minutes ago. I decided to come to Del taco no waiting in line at the drive-through they take my order right away, pull up to the window I pay I get my drink couple 1-2minutes later they hand me my food. My husband and I used to love to eat at this Del Taco but in the last 2 months the service has really gone downhill. The last 3 times our order has been wrong.
