I'm not close to a del taco but I had to try them out since I love tacos. I was happy to see steak fries on their menu and it's great that the amount and price is reasonable. I tried a limited time only dessert, funnel cake sticks, so yummy but does need a bit more powdered sugar. Luckily I brought it home so I was able to add more powdered sugar. My wife and I decided to try dining in at Del Taco. We used to take our granddaughters there, but that was 12 years ago. Anyway, I ordered 2 regular beef tacos and a burger. I could not believe how big the tacos were. They were packed with well-seasoned ground beef, lots of shredded cheese and fresh lettuce. They were way bigger than Taco Bell. My burger was delicious. My wife ordered a 2 taco combo, and she loved it. We both had fries, and they were hot and crispy. The service was very friendly, and the seating area was spotless. We both were totally satisfied with everything about dining at Del Taco. We will definately be back. read more

The fries were thicker then those things and I call it things cuz they do not resemble or even taste like chicken. It's like a very thin spongy layer of tasteless tofu with batter. Usually this store is great, however the last three times I have come through the wait times are increasingly longer and they let your sit for 14 minutes to order, I was trapped by others and could not back up, they once you get through that amazing wait time you idle Forward to wait again for another 13 minutes to get your Luke warm food at a higher price that I think even cost for the wait and the time the quality and value is not worth it. Find another spot, with this consistent level of service and I have three chances, will fail. Since 2020, I've been to the location a number of times for Double Del Cheeseburgers. In the last couple of weeks, I've had one or two of those, plus fish tacos. For a California-style Mexican place, they make really good cheeseburgers. For a place that serves fries with everything, they need to clean their fryers or throw away the bad fries. The food is almost always great, no matter which location. This one is having trouble with their fries, for whatever reason. Most of the fries are unpleasant to eat. They serve churros here! My sister and I have a lasting love affair with churros. We can never resist their siren call. During her last trip to LA, she discovered that Del Taco offered cinnamon churros for cheap ($1 each, I believe) and they weren't half bad. My sis had been talking them up but I had yet to try them. Leaving Yosemite ravenous, we had just gorged ourselves on some Mexican food in Oakdale until we were in food coma bliss, but there was no way we weren't stopping when we were conveniently driving past this Del Taco. They're smaller than your typical churro so you probably don't want to share. The bag itself said Get CHURRO-OWN bag. They came out hot, a little harder than I would have liked but they had a good chew and they pile on the cinnamon sugar so it was pretty darn flavorful. This review isn't based on the food. It is about the kids high chairs that I have addressed to the staff about 4-5 months ago. I told them that there was mildew growing on the high chairs which not only shows that they don't get washed down and cleaned properly but that it is unsanitary. It is a food joint. They should be wiped down every day just like the tables and floors. I have to put my child in this dirty nasty high chair and chance her getting sick from touching the high chair and putting her fingers in her mouth when eating. I told someone on the staff the day I noticed it but I haven't been back in for about 4-5 months. Today we decided to eat there and I checked the high chairs, and they were still gross and disgusting. Telling them did nothing so maybe a Yelp review will help. We shall see! On the plus side, their food is good. Hopefully it's cleaner in the kitchen then the chairs that the kids sit on. read more

I was very surprised with this place. I have never been to a Del Taco before, for some reason I've always ended up at a Taco Bell. My first reaction, "they have hamburgers?" How good could a hamburger be at a place called Del Taco? Well, they were awesome! The double cheese was like an old school Big Mac, you know, how they were in the 70's and 80's. The crinkle cut fries, just like the old time Carl's JR fries, amazing. The food was great. So, just to make sure this wasn't a fluke, I went back about five times, and yep, consistently great. Wow, I ordered 2 burritos today and asked to add sour cream. After paying for it I got my food and went to sit down and eat, I then realized that they forgot to put the sour cream on them. I took them to the counter and pointed this out and the employee go ors to the food bar makes up a side of sour cream, comes and hands it to me and says, "there you go". My husband and I decided to stop at Del Taco in Manteca (1194 E Yosemite Ave.) to have a quick snack. I ordered two fish tacos. While waiting for tacos my husband was watching cooks how they prepare orders, but I didn't pay attention. When our order was ready my husband told me to check fish tacos because he thought that fish was burned. I unwrapped one taco and fish looked dark. My husband asked the manager if the fish is supposed to be so dark, and the manager said that they always cook it this way. My husband wanted to return the order, but I didn't want to be rude and decided to give it a try. I wish I would listen to my husband. The fish sliver was burned and dry inside; the taste was disgusting. I returned the untouched taco to the manager so he could see for himself what they were trying to feed me. I'm updating my review from 3 stars to 1. I have given them 3 more tries since my last review. After my second to last visit, I actually complained to corporate and requested a refund for my order because it was once again incorrect. To my surprise, I actually did receive a voucher for the amount of my meal to return and use at Del Taco. So, I went back to give them another try a month or two ago.... and of course, my order was given to me incorrectly again and received the wrong drink AGAIN! Much to my ignorance, I somehow wound up there again today.... just hoping for once they could pay attention to what they are doing and just give me some decent food! Nope! I ordered 4 half pound burritos with green sauce and 2 crunchy tacos with beef only (no lettuce, no cheese). The burritos were actually fine for once. But my 8 year old son's plain tacos BOTH had broken shells and seriously a TABLESPOON of beef in each. Not even that, maybe. How do these people keep their jobs? How does this place stay in business? Smelled soooo good as soon as me and my friend walked in the service was fine we got our food at a acceptable amount of time since we were dinning in, my friend got the double del burger with asada fries burger was good asada fries are amazing!! I got the chorizo breakfast burrito which is a small taco for a dollar they did however make a mistake on my taco but once i brought it to their attention they let me keep my old taco and brought me a new one in a burrito sized tortilla!! I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! I eat here probably once a week, when visiting family. They are always great, only had 1 minor problem and it wasn't anyone's fault at this store. It was an issue with their food vendor. The staff at this location is great. There is a young gentleman who works here, usually at the drive-thru, and he is a pleasure to work with. He speaks clearly and evenly, and is friendly and genuinely concerned with fulfilling orders correctly. I always leave feeling like a valued customer. Who can beat proper service with a smile???
