My family & i was originally recommended to visit Luogo, Italian up the street from here but they had a 2+hr wait so we walked in here and OH EM GEEEE, I'm SO glad we did. We're huuuuuge steak fans & eat out all the time. First things first, Jared our server was absolutely GREAT, attentive, quick & even better, handsome. LOL! The food, the vibes, the lighting, drink's & atmosphere were all really a 10/10 Payne, the manager kept coming around checking on us to make sure everything was going well, absolutely professional & kind. Recommend my dad a couple places to visit next time we come back, we are 10000% coming back to see them, we enjoyed EVERY bit of our visit. The restrooms had such a cool vibe & super clean. * My mom ordered the roasted chicken 10/10 *My dad ordered the NY strip steak 10/10 (Medium well, a MUST) * i ordered baby back ribs with potato salad & slaw & wow, amazing. Not often you find yummy BBQ sauce, me & my sister shared this dish & a Caesar salad that was absolutely yummy, too even if it was just a lil too salty for our liking but still a strong 9! Desserts, we had coconut cream pie & the Nutella bread pudding. Although i am not too big on sweets, they tasted real yummmmmy. DRINKS, i mean YUM! We had some sangria, hazelnut espresso martinis, & dirty martinis. Every sip was great, I'd recommend them with my eyes closed. Absolutely my favorite spot we visited during our trip. Prices were sooooo good compared to everything else we had that wasn't even that good.

Looks a mess, but was good. Steakhouse Salad

Service was a little slow. Downtown, so busy & loud. Steak salad was so good though. Will have to try it again, but at the Brentwood location next time.

Recently had dinner with my wife and her sister. Great service and the food was very good. We came a bit early and had a quiet meal that allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Be sure to take advantage of the validated parking, if you drive here. Which I recommend if you are local and are looking for a great steak.

I am always on the hunt for a good steakhouse. I have found it very difficult to the charcoal Fired Angus Riley I cook at home. If I find a comparable steak I consider that place a true steakhouse. One caveat I like my steak Pittsburgh rare. Which require an extremely hot grill and a skilled cook. The steak is charred on the outside and Luke warm in the middle. To be honest I have not found one yet. Until Del Frisco's. The manager came to the table when he saw my steak and tried to take it apologizing for it being burned. I laughed and told him it was perfect. He was relieved and said he had the best cook on the grill that he has ever seen and was surprised to see my steak in that condition. It was a great steak as was the asparagus. The chocolate martini I ordered was also deliscious. I will return to this Steakhouse.

Filet, mashed potatoes and fried brussel sprouts

My company recently rented out the whole restaurant for an event. Overall, everything went wonderfully. Food was delicious, staff was so helpful, especially the managers. We did a buffet which had a little bit of everything on it. I had a filet that was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. Loved the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts on the side. I was told the desserts were very tasty too. The space is beautiful and has a nice big bar area and lots of tables. Overall a really great event.

Filet mignon and loaded bake potato

Let's be honest, it is difficult to find a restaurant that cooks a good steak and has decent sides. I was really impressed with Del Frisco's. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and I'm glad one side came with the meal. I chose the loaded baked potato. It was good but I wish it had had more toppings and less sour cream. The complimentary pretzel bread was a nice addition and went well with the meal. Other pluses were that we were able to make a reservation, and the ambiance was nice. One thing I wish would chance was the waiter was a little pushy when he continually tried to sell cocktails and appetizers.

First off the ambiance was clean and calm. Our waiter Tyler was phenomenal. The manager Payne was kind and came to table a few times to ck on how we were doing. Tyler didn't skip a beat either. The food was nothing short of amazing. Tyler kindly came to our table to let us know they were out of the prime rib. We ot the NY strip 1 lb with crabcake on top with lobster sauce, Brussel Sprouts a filet salad and the divine coconut cream pie that Payne suggested. Our champagne was ice cold too. If I ever came bk to Nashville I'd definitely come bk here. Being a member of Landrys VIP you get perks. This is part of Landrys. Kudos to Del Frisco s. One of thee best Steaks in my lifetime.

Hummus

I've been twice now and both times I have been more than pleased with my orders. The hummus platter is a great dish to share between 4-6 people. Both times I've ordered a Tom Collins as my drink and the first visit was much better than the second. The waiter the second time questioned my drink choice and I've had a better tom Collins. Other than that the food has always been great!

Run, don't walk! The deal included an alcoholic beverage (not pictured) for only $25.00. The serving size was filling, I ended up leaving with food to go. Staff were pleasant and the restaurant was clean and airy.

Brunch!

Stopped in for an impromptu brunch as it was close by. Great brunch menu all our food came out delicious. Service was outstanding! Attentive but not overbearing. Definitely will come back when in town. Very clean, great music on, very friendly staff!

For our weekly date night, we decided to give Del Frisco's happy hour a go, based on a recommendation from a couple we met at Finch. Here's the breakdown: Drinks: We started with an Old Fashioned and a Malbec. Both were... fine. Nothing special, just average. If you're a cocktail or wine enthusiast, you might want to temper your expectations. Food: - Cheesesteak Eggrolls: Everyone seems to rave about these, but for me, they were a bit too rich. However, if you're a fan of cheese and eggrolls, definitely give them a try! - Roasted Wings: These were a win. You can choose wet or dry, and they come with a delicious avocado ranch dip. - Sticky Ribs: Tender and flavorful. My husband declared these the best thing we had all night. - Ahi Tuna Tacos: Crispy shells with a layer of guacamole and topped with chopped tuna and spicy mayo. Good, but they could use a pinch of salt to really pop. We also tried the shaved prime steak sandwich, but by then, I was so full we ended up packing most of it to go. Parking: You get 3 hours of free parking if you park in the garage and grab a validation ticket from the hostess. Just be aware, you'll need to insert both the parking and validation tickets at the exit--not at the pay machine near the elevators. Overall, a solid spot to check out for happy hour, especially for the food!

Truffled Mac & Cheese
Joiliana L.

I have to say, I really enjoyed my time here. Went for a friend's birthday celebration and was very happy with everything I ordered. Bird of paradise cocktail: 4.5/5. Nice and fruity. USDA Prime NY strip: 5/5. This steak was perfect! Perfectly cooked to temp, very well seasoned, great cut. Worth it for the price in my opinion. Truffled mac & cheese: 4/5. Solid mac. I like the unique choice of noodle. The truffle flavor didn't come through as much as I'd like, but it was nice and creamy. Breadcrumbs add great texture. Soft lighting and wood creates a nice cozy atmosphere. Random critique, I feel like the chairs were too low for the level of the table. Made it a bit difficult to eat. Overall, I'd love to go back! I've been thinking about that steak ever since I went haha.

It was good and I appreciated the flavors but would try a different starter next time! I really enjoyed the spaghetti. It tasted like summer on a plate - light, fresh, and bursting with bright tomato flavor. The sauce was simple but layered, letting the quality of the ingredients shine. Overall, an enjoyable meal and a space I'd love to come back to try other menu items....I have heard rave reviews about a corn pasta here and I'd like to try sitting in the interior dining section which had a cozy, inviting feel.

Prior to the tax hike, they had one of the best happy hours in the area. Still some good things on the menu, but my favorites, like the duck tart, are gone. Very small bar in the front, unlike Brick Tops across the street. This means there is not a lot of room to wait for a table, so definitely consider a reservation. The main dining room is through a doorway to the right. This space is roomier with ample glass to give it a nice open feel. The food? One of the best meals in Nashville. I have been here numerous times and the food never disappoints. The wait staff will detail the chef's special of the day and these are often the best way to go when you visit. The grilled Filet is excellent, but they also have osso bucco, a proscuitto chicken roulade, and Venison on the menu. For appetizers, the roasted cauliflowere or mezze are great for a lighter start. Labm meatballs are esquisite and, outside of the duck tart (now gone), the smoke carpaccio is my go to. For dessert, I am torn. The Chocolate Mousse bar is decadent, but I have had a thing for New Zealand Pavlova since I first tried it in California. For happy hour, they have 3 cocktails for $9. The tempura mushrooms, fried brussels sprouts, and roasted cauliflower are all good, but I miss the duck tart. I did mention the duck tart, right Deb?

A Chef's Kiss Ambiance…read morePulling up to the valet was a breeze, which was a big help when you're from out of state and don't know where to park. The front of the building was elegant and well lit. The hostesses greeted us warmly, and with our reservation we were seated within five minutes. The crowd was dressed in business casual, which set a nice tone. The one drawback was the noise: the main dining room was louder than I'd expect from a fine dining spot. Then again, it's downtown Nashville on a Friday night. The Staff Every staff member we encountered was polished and professional, exactly what you'd hope for at a restaurant like this. Our server, Yay, was exceptional, an absolute joy. She was kind and knowledgeable, and her balance of professionalism and playfulness was spot on. The Food and Drinks Nearly everything we ate was delicious. The smoked old fashioned was one of the smoothest, most refined I've had in a long while. The Tomahawk was cooked to perfection, and the sides were excellent across the board, with one small exception: the potatoes that came with the Tomahawk were on the bland side and could have used some salt. That's a pretty easy fix, and it was the only miss of the night. Otherwise, the chef and kitchen were right on the mark. The Verdict Would I come back? In a heartbeat, just maybe not on a Friday night. Three thumbs up, and thanks to the staff for a memorable evening. Chef's miss? Not even close. This one's a Chef's Kiss.

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. There were still a couple of people at the bar and a few tables with guests finishing their meals, so nothing immediately indicated that we were arriving near closing time. The hostess was very friendly and seated our party of four right away, but she never mentioned that the restaurant would be closing soon. Had we known, we would have gladly chosen somewhere else to eat rather than risk feeling rushed or unwelcome. The ambiance was nice, and we each ordered a cocktail. Unfortunately, our experience with the service was disappointing from the start. Our server seemed visibly annoyed with us and had an attitude that made us feel as though we were an inconvenience. I understand that being seated with a table near the end of a shift can be frustrating. I've worked in the service industry myself, and I know what it's like to be sat late in the evening. However, that comes with the job, and I would have much rather been told upfront that the restaurant was closing soon so we could have made other arrangements. We were visiting from Nashville to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were looking forward to a nice dinner to kick off our trip. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed experience. I ordered the turtle soup and prime rib, requesting the prime rib medium rare. It arrived medium, if not slightly more well done. While the flavor was good, it was not cooked to the doneness I had requested. The turtle soup was also excessively salty, and everyone at our table agreed. My wife ordered the beef en croute, which was cold in the center, although the pastry on top was cooked nicely. Our friends ordered the lamb and halibut, and both dishes were prepared well and enjoyed. For a restaurant where we spent over $400 on dinner, I expected a much higher level of food quality and service. Mistakes can happen, and I understand that no restaurant is perfect. However, the combination of the unwelcoming service and the issues with several dishes made for a disappointing evening. What made the experience especially frustrating was that this was supposed to be a special dinner to celebrate our anniversary and start our trip on a high note. Instead, we left feeling disappointed and as though our business was an inconvenience. If the restaurant was closing soon, a simple heads-up when we arrived would have gone a long way. We would have understood and happily taken our business elsewhere. The following evening, we dined at Sinatra's and had a fantastic experience, which made the contrast even more noticeable. Overall, the ambiance was pleasant, and some of the food was good, but the service and inconsistency in the dishes fell well short of what I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. When spending over $400 on a dinner for a special occasion, you expect to feel welcomed, enjoy a well-prepared meal, and leave with a positive impression. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and this restaurant was a disappointing way to begin our anniversary trip.

The…read morerestaurant was completely packed when we visited, so I'm really glad I booked a table well in advance. They have a relatively small entrée menu, and the entrées are definitely on the pricey side. However, they have a great selection of appetizers and smaller plates, which makes it easy to try a variety of dishes. I decided to go with the Chef's Choice option, where the chef decides what you eat. Honestly, I'm really glad I went with this because it allowed us to experience a wide variety of dishes without having to choose everything ourselves. We started with fried potatoes with green garlic chimichurri and whipped feta with dip. The whipped feta was absolutely amazing and one of the first highlights of the meal. We then received a couple of special bite-sized appetizers, including bacon-wrapped dates and beet falafel bites. The bacon-wrapped date was delicious, and the beet falafel was a fun and flavorful bite. The halibut sushi was good, but the real surprise for me was the avocado and crispy rice salad. This dish was absolutely out of this world! The crispy rice added an amazing texture, and the combination of flavors was fantastic. For the entrée, we had the house kebab platter, which came with house shishito peppers, fried okra, mushrooms, chicken and steak kebabs, along with a side of fermented pepper. There was a lot going on with this platter, and it was a great way to finish the savory part of the meal. We ended dinner with the peach and almond Malabi, which was delicious and a perfect way to finish the meal. Overall, Butcher & Bee completely lived up to my expectations. The Chef's Choice experience was definitely the right decision, especially for someone like me who loves trying different dishes. The food was creative, flavorful, and full of interesting combinations. The only thing to keep in mind is that the entrées can be quite expensive, but the smaller plates give you a chance to sample a lot of different flavors. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time because this place fills up quickly!
