When I told them I wanted to wait a little longer to let my hair recover, they agreed that it was a great idea. At no point did they warn me that if I waited too long, the price would increase to full price. How was I supposed to know that? If they had told me, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, they just told me what I wanted to hear at the time to keep me from complaining. Now, three months later, I reached out to finally get my highlights done, and they refuse to honor the price they originally promised. Not only did I waste $300 on something I didn't ask for, but they also completely misled me about fixing it. This place is unprofessional and dishonest. I would never recommend them to anyone. Stay away unless you want to be overcharged and lied to.

I am so glad I took the risk because now this is the only hair salon I will go to for cuts and color because of the amazing Tom! I have not dyed my hair in over 16 years and wanted a change and I knew Tom was the person that could touch my virgin hair, haha! He's been giving me amazing cuts and I was very confident he would deliver and would know exactly what would look good on me. I did a partial balayage back in July (starting out small since it's been a while) and have been getting glazes every 7-8 weeks. My hair has never felt healthier. I used to be one of those gals that would wait forever to get a haircut and have tons of split ends. Ever since Tom - I've been visiting on a routinely basis with trims and glazes and I love the way my hair feels. I trust Tom completely with my hair and now during every visit I will just ask him what he thinks would look good and go with that :) Whenever I have a special event, he'll make sure he dolls me up. He's amazing, he's the curl and color expert! Salon is pretty spacious, clean and can get very busy on the weekends - you definitely need to schedule an appointment. This salon is such a gem!…read more To start, the salon is super cute, always clean, and very welcoming. All of the staff is so friendly and attentive. They graciously offer and bring you coffee/tea/water - which makes me feel special :) I've been going to JA for years but last year I tried a new place b/c of a recommendation from a friend. Long story short, it was ok until it wasn't and my long hair became short damaged hair. After visiting JA last year for my daughter's appt, I was approached by a staff member to get a blowout while I wait - great idea! but my hair was such a mess in so many ways that after explaining my hair issues, they found a spot for me the next day and fixed my mess! So happy and grateful that they were so kind... I also took my mom to that other salon, and she also had a terrible experience but it wasn't anything JA couldn't handle. Her hair was also transformed into a beautiful color - the prettiest color ever! The stylists take their time and listen - even when I have no idea what I want to do with my hair! The girls that wash your hair are phenomenal (other than the outcome, that's my favorite part!). They sell products, as well as pretty accessories - so you can shop while you wait :) My mom, daughter, and I always enjoy getting dolled up at JA. We look forward to every visit!
