This my first time at this restaurant since they moved to their new location. I ordered the Jalepeno Eggs Benedict and it was perfect. Heather was our server and was very pleasant and responsive to our requests. The food was excellent and we had a nice time at this restaurant. We had to wait about 15min for a table which wasn't a problem since it was a holiday. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Stopped here for a nice lunch on our way to see Blink-182 and were very happy with our decision. Debbie was our waitress and she did such a great job! She was very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food was excellent and bountiful. My wife and I shared a bacon avocado burger and salad. They split the order and it was still plenty of food to appease our ferocious appetite. She even gave us "to-go" soda and water cups for the road. BOMB! Hash browns were by far my favorite. They were perfectly crispy while also being softish inside. They were pretty light too! The Benedict was hella good, and the bacon was thick and crispy Price wise- it wasn't too expensive! About $40 total for both of our dishes and two coffees. The service was great too :) read more

Ya I'm that "very rude mom"... Of 6 kids that have been eating at that brick and mortar through 3 different restaurants, for 12 plus years, and I have never had a worse experience than what you gave me. We came up to your counter, with my 4 children in tow, a 6 year old, 12, 15, and 16 year old with my husband and I, after a foothill highschool charity track event. You served well over 20+ other students and their families that came from the same event. We came well before any other students because we knew most that came in after us, had even spoken to another family asking us what the wait time was, and you had told me 20 minutes. We were all sitting in your waiting room within 5 feet of you personally, and after 40 minutes of waiting, and seating 4 other families ahead of us that came after, i asked when we would be seated. We have been waiting patiently. I simply asked you what the wait time was and why anyone hasn't checked on us, i suggested we could use a booth because i simply didn't want to inconvenience the business. That I noticed you sat 4 other families ahead of us because I can see your list with my name clear as day. You then proceeded to ask me how long I've been in the restaurant business, that I should have told you I had children with me... to feel that much animosity and condescension radiating from you and your words, i couldn't even believe you were acting that way in front of your staff. I sat back down and just told you to let us know when we can be seated. You then came ALL the way around your counter, come up to the waiting area with all the other people waiting and leaned down in my face to repeat yourself:" how long have you been in the restaurant business, because you should have told me you had children" i was so shocked we got up immediately and walked out. I told my family to get in the car, and i CAME RIGHT BACK. You were just informing one of your other hostesses, "we are no longer doing 6 tops," crossing my name off vigorously. I then told you that it was my daughters 15th birthday, that i have SO MANY kids because my husband and i foster and adopt, and have never been treated so dismissively and unprofessional in my life and hope you don't treat anyone else the way you did us, and that we wont be back. I was not rude. I was honest. You were rude to ask me multiple times how long I've been in the restaurant business. I've worked in the service industry my whole life. I've never spoken to a customer like that, never ignored a guest, and never condescendingly asked them if they work in their line of business just to prove a point. But funny enough, i have been a private chef for years and have cooked for many people my whole life and never have i ever treated a client, stranger, or even an unhappy customer the way you treated me and my family . You could see i had small children. We were seated directly in your line of sight, we didn't complain until double the time came and gone. You even said you recognize us from frequent visits to your other restaurant. To get in my face and do that in front of other guests in front of my kids was deplorable. I was seated in a chair and you came at me, I also remember you walking away and saying that same thing "you came at me first " like you were validated in talking to me like you wanted to show your true colors. Well, you did. The other owners of that space never had a problem seating my family. I don't need to tell you how to run a business because we went straight to Einstein Bagels, sat down, and ate great food with great customer service on a very busy morning with no problem. You can call me any time, it wasn't heated for me, just really sad and disappointed. If you were heated, you can take that somewhere else. I know the business because I have a passion for food and serving others. Your customers are the most important. Local businesses supporting each other is also important. Maybe you've been in it for too long to see how you acted because in no way anyone else would have taken that kind of behavior. read more

We are from out of town and in Redding to visit family. When we got to the restaurant, it was a little bit of a wait, but now I know why. There was not one staff member that didn't have a smile on their face. Everyone was so incredibly kind. Our 3yr old about lost his mind over the pancakes--we've never seen him eat so much! We all enjoyed our meals, they were fresh and fantastic. The energy in the restaurant is so cozy and welcoming, it was so clean, and the food was great. The service was very, very good and is the top thing I can recommend. There is nothing lacking for condiments. My "2. The Depot" was a good omelette, and we also had a pumpkin pancake which was good. The cappuccino tasted like coffee with froth on top. The big disappointment was the hash browns, which tasted like they'd been fried in fish oil. Avoid them. It was very loud The place was dirty and the prices have gone way up. Super expensive do not recommend. Like I said, used to be a very good place. A tail of failing service: This was my third visit to this establishment. Pre-pandemic, in 2019 I thoroughly enjoyed the place and hand very fond memories of of their food, service and atmosphere. This year I returned there a month ago to have a "send off to college" breakfast with my kid. Food was enjoyable, yet service clearly slid in quality. Yesterday, my wife was craving eggs Benedict and she got the most remarkable breakfast. My own dish ended up being disappointingly bland. Yet a thing that prompted this review was an utter deterioration of service. Ms. Lauren (at least was a name on a check) was neglectful, did not check in, provide refills and charged us for coffee that never came. First I must say this place is really cute. The booths are nice and comfy. The tall blonde lady with the pony tail was rude. Our waitress was extremely nice and welcoming thankfully. Déjà vù, a French term that literally means "already seen". But nothing could have prepared me for this, for nobody has seen the likes of what I encountered here. 2.5 stars because the first time I ordered from here the food was good. But this last time, I don't even know what to say. The menu lists what's on the food, you order the food, and then there's extra stuff. But not stuff you can just pick off if you don't want it. The most vile of sandwich items: pickles. Don't like 'em? Too bad. They've soaked into all your food and everything reeks of their putrid stench. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, which according to the menu comes with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Nothing more. Not even a spread is mentioned. Knowing that there must be some sort of trap, I emphasized that I didn't want any surprise mayonnaise, because there is almost always mayonnaise, even if it is not stated in the list-o-ingredients. I also chose the side salad, because I don't want something fried. I get my order and there aren't just a couple little slices of pickle on the sandwich, where was like an entire handful of them, plus another heaping serving of them ON THE SALAD! Nowhere on the menu does it state that pickles are involved on either of these items, and yet there they were, like some sort of cruel punishment for something I did in a past life. And before you ask, no I wasn't rude, I didn't even place the order. This was a group takeout order for work. It was called in and picked up by a very nice co worker. So there you have it. I went hungry that day. Beware fellow restaurant patrons, if you don't like surprises on your food, and like me, you feel that the menu serves a specific purpose (telling you what you can expect on your food!), then double check with your server before placing your order, and be sure to ask all sorts of questions that you shouldn't have to ask (like "do you put pickles in your salad?"), because you may suffer the same fate as I did on the day of the crime. read more

On my way home from Redding we decided to take a quick stop for some breakfast. We stubbled upon this restaurant and thought let's give the nightclub sounding brunch place a try. We were greeted by some friendly employees and got a seat in the tall booths. We went ahead and order the Cinnamon bun which was bigger than expected but definitely tasted good. The rest of our meal came. My potatoes were slightly over cooked and didn't feel like I received enough sauce with my eggs Benedict but otherwise the food tasted good. Awesome Sunday Morning brunch spot. I went with a group of friends we waited about 40 minutes to be seated. Let me tell you it was worth the wait, the fresh OJ was excellent start. The service was sharp, she took time to explain the most popular items and even let us alter our orders without hesitation. The Pancakes are decent and the Chicken Fried Steak was tender and flavorful. The Gravy was tasty not to greasy the homemade biscuits complimented it well. Do you ever feel like you've been somewhere before? Well with this place you want to keep coming back so you always feel like that here. This is me and my best friends go to spot when we find ourselves in Redding. It's also our thing to take a photo in the same spot every time! That's our Deja Vu vibe. Street parking is kind of hard sometimes but there's a parking garage across the street so you don't have to look far. Once you get inside chances are it's going to be busy for the restaurant but make time to check out the coffee shop!!! There's a restaurant on one side and a coffee shop on the other. We tend to hit up the coffee shop side but opted to try the restaurant this past time. It was great. But, I will say the coffee shop part is my all time favorite. I always get the London Fog and my bestie gets the White Mocha. LOVE! Also, you have to try the giant cinnamon rolls. It's a must. Such a fun casual vibe and the baristas are always so nice.
