Id give negative stars but they get ONE for having one 12inch single actually priced accordingly!

It's very tidy and everything is organized by genre for both the books and the vinyls. The friendliest man works here - I believe he's the store owner. Very welcoming, softspoken, and extremely knowledgeable. Anytime I have a question, he knows where to point me. Not to mention he's always turning the tunes for a cozy and welcoming feel as you browse. Couldn't recommend this place more. Go check em out!

You would think a record store in such a prime location would have such high overhead that they…read morewould need to keep the prices really high, but there are some good deals to be had here. Good selection of modern rock, punk, alt, and 60's rock. GREAT selection of audiophile pressings. Some wild Japanese vinyl from The Who that I'M DYING to own. They know what they have, and it's priced accordingly, but stuff that doesn't move seems to get discounted (despite what Discogs says it's worth) Clean, organized, friendly staff, no pressure. It's slowly becoming my favorite record shop.

I was searching for Lunar New Year books, but couldn't find any. They had a bin for the big holidays like Christmas, Halloween, Easter and a general holiday bin for smaller holidays. The Used Book Superstore in Burlington is my personal money pit -- and honestly, I'm fine with it…read more I've never managed to leave with fewer than ten books, and at this point, I don't even pretend I will. The selection feels endless. Every genre, every niche, and then, just when you think you've seen it all, there's a wall of Blu-rays, DVDs, video games, board games, and random bits of memorabilia you didn't know you wanted until they're already in your basket. The prices are almost insulting to other stores. Seriously, I've paid more for a cup of coffee than I have for some of the books here. You'd almost feel guilty... except you don't, because you're too busy carrying out a stack taller than your torso. The staff is excellent -- actually helpful, not the fake "let me know if you need anything" kind. They've tracked down what I came in looking for, and then somehow convinced me to walk out with three more titles I didn't even know existed. My shelves at home are groaning under the weight of their recommendations, but sure, suggest me another series. Why not. I've been a regular for about a year now, and as long as I live in Massachusetts, this will be one of the few places I actually look forward to throwing money at. You never know what you'll find here, which is exactly why I keep coming back.

They will lower the price if you call them out on their shenanigans, though, so be diligent. Their recent arrivals section is usually pretty good, but the normal, already alphabetized stuff are pretty common records but marked up due to location. Honestly, I only ever look through the recent arrival stuff when I stop in nowadays. But again, check the editions before buying because they will absolutely claim it's a rarer edition when it's certainly not.

Record Genie! Dave is not only a great guy, but does what seems like magic to any vinyl. I was…read moreable to watch him work in person. This guy is the real deal. He carefully cleaned each record with three machines. Being the perfectionist he is, I watched him take a tiny piece of styrofoam, and drop it on the record, just to assure it effortlessly slid off with no static. He then slides each spotless record into a new sleeve, then takes the entire album cover, and places it into a new plastic sleeve. He then tells me it's to assure that both record, and album cover stay in optimal condition long-term. Dave is one of those few people you meet that genuinely cares about what he does, and us vinyl lovers are better for it. Thank you Dave!

Worst service ever! Completely rude pushy owner with no concern for the customer only for himself…read moreand trying to aggressively retain your business before you even spend a dime. I emailed this company twice to clean a record I have, finally got a response today, the owner named Dave tells me to call him. I call him and tell him how I have this record I just received that needs a deep clean as it's very important to me and I've been looking for it for 10+ years (probably won't see another copy again) and it arrived to me dirty & figure the play could improve with a clean. He says he doesn't do one record, he does batches of nine. I told him I'm not interested in doing a batch of nine but I will pay him whatever it cost for a batch of nine or whatever just to clean this ONE record. Literally ready to pay whatever with no problem. Apparently money wasn't talking in this situation because he still doesn't care for or answer my concern or offer his service but proceeds to ask me 21 questions about my WHOLE collection (like he's trying to clean all of my records to get more money) and is more concerned with retaining me as a returning customer before I even paid a dime. He even asks me how do I clean all my records? What tools do I use? Why is that your concern? I'm calling to pay YOU for a service to clean ONE record ‍ After being annoyed & pitched all these different things for 10 minutes straight which I didn't want and kept telling him that, I proceeded to just say I'll send you nine records if you really want just so I can get this one record cleaned to which he replies now he's scared to work with me because I "sound aggressive" & he doesn't want any problems? You can find the Amuse plushies online, but there's just something satisfying about knowing how soft/fluffy they are before buying. They also carry San-X plushies (Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, etc). They also have these giant food shaped cushions that are highly popular in Japan (giant slices of meat, sushi, etc). The icing on top of the cake is the fact that I came with my friend, who is visiting from Europe and likes to collect coins. When we checked out, we paid with cash and asked the staff if they could let us pick out some "newer" coins/state quarters, and not only did they say sure, they actually laid out every single coin from their register. (Don't worry, we made sure we weren't holding up any lines.) Anyway, the fact that they were so accommodating with such an odd request really made my day. This place definitely gets an A+ for superior service.
