The initial home consultation with Paul was great. He had tons of samples and showed us many options and gave recommendations based on our needs. There was never any pressure to buy and he spent quite a bit of time going over the whole process and answering all our questions and concerns. We decided a few days later to go with FCI based on our meeting and the fact that their prices were competitive with the other quotes we received. Then things turned South. We were told it would take about 2-4 weeks to get the carpet from the factory. After a month, they contacted us and said that the factory was still back ordered and it would be another month. They were very apologetic and ended up removing the cost of moving the furniture from our bill. The carpet order finally arrived and we were set up for an install on November 3rd. The installers came out and had most of the old carpet ripped out and the new carpet pad laid and started to bring in the new carpet. They started to unroll the carpet and lo-and-behold - not the carpet I ordered! I took pictures and called Erick and explained the situation. He was very sympathetic to our situation and even offered a good discount on this carpet if that was an option for us. It was a nice carpet but we were set on getting the carpet we ordered so declined the offer. We had to live for a month on our 1st floor with only carpet pads for flooring. Not fun! They reordered the carpet and installed it on December 5th. The installation went without a hitch and the carpet looks great. Here's the best part. Sharee negotiated with Shaw Carpets and got them to pay for half of the cost of the carpet. Even though this whole situation had nothing to do with the people at FCI, they offered to cover the cost of the other half. How great is that? Would I recommend this company to my friends and family? You bet! If I need more carpet or flooring in the future you can be sure that they'll be the first ones I call. Thanks Sharee and Erick! Second, they ordered the wrong color and type of tile and we were told basically too bad that it's not what you picked out or paid for it's what you're getting. Third, they never even came back and finished the job. After a month of not hearing a thing, we called someone else to come and finish. Fourth, they broke the toilet and we had to replace it, their plumber rehooked the sink incorrectly and it leaked, so we had to pay a plumber to redo it, among other things. Fifth, they didn't clean up after themselves at all. I found a trash bag leaking a vile substance that was left in my library to sit after they worked a couple hours and took off for a long weekend. Apparently I was supposed to lift it. And haul it away myself. That 6 star review probably came from the owner of the business. Do NOT hire these people, they have no idea what they've foo g and the work is beyond shoddy.

We only had to wait a few days then installation was top notch.  The installers did a great job as noticed by us the home owners and the Linoleum guy we hired after the carpet was installed. The installers were kind and patient as I asked (probably 1 million) questions and gave me confident answers with the reassurance of "we got this".  When there was a slight mis-communication issue between the measurer/order/installer the hiccup was taken care of immediately and we didn't even miss a beat!
