I'll admit it was fantastic service before we arrived, once there it quickly turned south. The views were to die for absolutely stunning. However, the management was poor. To say the least. We paid a lot of money and the service we received was less sub par at best. We rented the entire place for the weekend so we have quite of a lot areas to tell about.
The cabins were not cleaned well still loaded with spider webs and spiders, and gave a creepy vibe instead of the rustic feel like we thought they would. Most of our party stated they were dark and dungeon like instead of cute and quaint.
The bathrooms were located next to the pavilion and the cabins however they were not maintained well. The stalls didn't have locks, and the showers only had a curtain to give you privacy, let's hope no one walks in on you. The bathrooms were not well cleaned. Gave you the Truck stop I rather pee my pants than use that bathroom feel.
The RV spots yes built in 1941, when RVs were a lot smaller than they are now. The electrical work was out of date and code. They said it was good for Water and Power. But power as in you can't use your microwave or air conditioning at all. So what good is that going to do you on a hot day. The spots themselves were small and not well maintained. They weren't clearly marked and because of that the manager thought she was right to start yelling at our party about not parking correctly. Though it was not very well marked and she wasn't there when the party started to arrive. Some spots are near unusable because spot inclines so much you can't level your RV. You're also not supposed to use your awning or you're taking up too much space. It was never said until after we set up tent that now they were in the wrong spot.
The manager didn't make sure her associates were on the same page and one said one of party could park some where and so they did and then the next thing our party got was chewed out by manager for parking in the wrong spot. To top it off one of the leasee' tenants started blaring their music because though in a RV spot was too close to his trailer. Because of that two party members no longer felt welcome on the ranch nor wanted to cause anymore trouble and left. They felt very unwelcome by ranch associates
One time we were enjoying a meal as a family and she asked to speak to me right then couldn't wait until I was done enjoying time with my family and eating. So she sat and went on about how one in our party had asked her if she could speak to one of the tenants about their blaring music and if they would please turn it down so they could enjoy a meal with their family without having to yell back and forth because they couldn't hear each other. And she said she could only ask them to turn it down. If you're a tenant knowing that this place to stay in business is rented out and wouldn't you have some common courtesy for those staying and keeping the business going. It was the same tenant that got mad about us parking too close to his trailer though it was a RV spot.
Cell phone service was so poor, but if you like not having much service than that is fine.
The cafe is very run down and falling apart. The pancakes were burnt that my kids didn't want to eat them. The eggs were undercooked. They were to open at 9 am that day and no one showed up until 9:15 and took to almost 10 to get our meal.
I am giving this review a 2 because the manager did apologize for her behavior but didn't make it right for how much we paid which was over 3k for the weekend. They also double booked another party though we paid for the entire ranch for Saturday. And we haven't seen a refund for that mess up. Nor the scaring away a portion of our party due to their poor management skills and poor hospitality.
The views were amazing though so that is the greatest plus for ranch everything else experienced was sub par. read more
