I recently visited KB Horses with my son's Boy Scout troop. We had a fantastic experience! Our group was big. I think we ended up with 17 boys & 2 leaders, so 19 total. But originally we thought we were going to have close to 40 & the staff at KB Horses was willing & ready to take on such a big group! Everyone was so friendly & great to work with! They requested the age, height, & weight of all the participants & then picked out the right horse for each of us. When we were told which horse we would be with, we were given specific details about each horse we'd be riding with - which was fun to learn & quite impressive considering there are over 60 horses there & the staff obviously knows each & every one of them personally. The instruction we received before our ride was just the way I like it - thorough, super helpful, & quick! It was clear that their #1 priority was safety & #2 was fun! Yes, there were times when we were single-file nose to tail (but that's unavoidable with such a large group) but there were also plenty of opportunities to lead our horses off the path & practice steering. The boys had a great time & I would definitely recommend KB Horses!!

An absolutely incredible experience for my 3 and 4-year old grandchildren. This isn't just your ordinary walk around the pony ring. They experienced all it takes to prepare the horses for the ride (brushing, saddening, etc) and treating them after the ride. Wranglers Santi and Jordan were beyond the best. They instilled so much confidence in these young children. They also taught them balance on the horse, how to back up the horse and turn them left and right. My 4-year-old granddaughter was a full-size quarter horse named Jasper, and my 3-year-old grandson was on a mid-size pony named Twinkle. The ranch manager Carrie was so sweet and followed up so quickly after my initial inquiry to the ranch. If you want to horseback ride near Park City, pick KB Horses. Wow - the best ever. Thank you, Carrie, Santi and Jordan!

We had an amazing experience. Caroline, Bethany and Lilly were experienced, friendly and took great care of us. Our sweet horses were the best and we loved all the personal touches. Would highly recommend and will defiantly return next time we are in Utah!

Wow! What an amazing experience. On a long shot we called to see if they could get us in for an afternoon ride. Brenda was so kind and worked it out with her wranglers Sam and Sammy. We could not have asked for a better experience. The trails are absolutely breathtaking and the horses are all so well behaved! We took our 11 and 14 yr olds and they had a blast. Such a great family memory made at KB Horses that we won't soon forget! Thank you to all of the staff there, we will be back and with friends!

My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary and had the opportunity to ride the horses at KB Horses in Midway. It has been almost 20 years since I've been on a horse, so this was going to be an adventure for me! (My wife grew up on a farm and thinks it's "cute" that I wanted to go horseback riding-but she obliged.) The directions we were given to get to the stables were very detailed and took us right there. Ample parking and space greeted us, along with four very lively dogs that wanted to play fetch before we even got the keys out of the ignition. It was quite the welcome! After a quick review of paperwork, we were introduced to Erin-who would be our wrangler during the ride. She gave us a brief but complete orientation on what to expect and some basic instructions and then introduced us to our horses. During the reservation process, we had been asked height/weight/age and experience level riding. This helped them pair us up with the appropriate horse. I was paired with Dee Dee, whom I learned is a favorite. She was beautiful and very easy to ride. Although we were told that we could wander off the trail, Dee Dee kept right with the guide (which was fine with me since I was not very anxious to venture away.) My wife was paired with Chico, a sweet horse that really liked scratching himself on trees. It took her a little more direction to keep him on the trail, but nothing too extreme. Our wrangler, Erin, was personable and easygoing. She made me very comfortable and at ease. I appreciated her patience as she taught this "city girl" how to ride a horse. The views were breathtaking and the trail was easy enough to be comfortable but challenging enough to provide a little sense of adventure. I can't wait to go back and take my teenage son-I think he would love it! And I wouldn't mind getting back in the saddle again!

From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel completely welcomed. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their horses and the beautiful area they work in. The seasonal horseback rides are incredible. Early in the season, you ride through the charming town of Midway, surrounded by snowy fields and mountain views that look like a Christmas postcard. Later in the season, the rides move up to Soldier Hollow, where the scenery becomes even more breathtaking -- open meadows, Olympic-era trails, and the Wasatch Mountains glowing in the winter light. The horses are gentle, well-trained, and perfect for beginners and experienced riders alike. But the true holiday magic comes from their draft horse wagon rides. Being pulled by beautiful Percheron and Belgian horses through thousands of sparkling Christmas lights at the Wasatch Mountain Golf Course is absolutely enchanting. The sleigh bells, the crisp winter air, the glow of the lights -- it feels straight out of a movie. Rocky Mountain Outfitters is a must-do winter tradition. Five stars without hesitation! Do not ride at this barn. The owner is verbally abusive,…read moreimmature, has poor communication skills, and is overall unprofessional. I spent almost a full 3 years taking riding lessons from multiple different instructors at Sage Creek. The atmosphere at the facility is toxic. The owner and other riders snap at each other, screaming and swearing at each other. This is not a family friendly environment. From the start of my time, I told my first instructor Jacob that I wanted to continue practicing my English riding and horsemanship. It took him 4 lessons before he was able to give me an English lesson. After me asking multiple times if he was able to put me on an English saddle. Jacob and other coaches I worked with consistently pressured me to do competitions when I had no interest and made that clear. All instructors, including the owner, Donnette, are unreliable. I drove from an hour away, and it was not uncommon for me to arrive to find out my instructor scheduled two lessons at once, if not finding out the whole barn was out of town for a show and the staff simply weren't there. Donnette, specifically would consistently forget about lessons. I would have to confirm with text to make sure she'd be there just to have her still schedule another student on my time. Donnette has a history of emotional outbursts, discussion and communication are impossible with Donnette, if you expect to have a working relationship with your riding instructor she is not for you. Donnette expects sub-ordinance and no questions. Donnette, Dana, and Rebecca all contribute to the toxic environment at the barn by complaining about their clients loudly. I knew the barn had a problem with gossip and bullying but never imagined it could be so childish. One day I arrived at the barn and was told I was double booked. I was irritated but started to prepare for the lesson anyways. As I put in my ear peice radio, I heard Donnette around the corner with her previous client on her own radio. She was belittling me, thinking I couldn't hear her, " ...she looked like she was going to cry!" I told her I was leaving after I heard her and she yelled at me that I'm banned from her property and didn't stop yelled at me until I walked away. This barn is a joke. I refuse to stoke the owners ego anymore, and do not know why I put up with it for so long, such a waste of money. If anything this barn is 100% NOT child friendly.
