One of my favorite places in Utah to go horse back riding! The guides are always super helpful and friendly. They do a great job at making the ride fun or peaceful, whatever you're in the mood for. All the horses are professionally trained and easy tempered. All around, the experience is great for first time riders as well as experienced riders. I highly recommend the sunset ride. It's quite the experience! Rides during the snowy season are wonderful as well!

What an amazing experience we will never forget! Horseback riding was amazing and beautiful in midway! The trail ride and views are breathtaking! The horses were so cute and well behaved, we felt very safe the whole ride! It's the perfect activity for the family or date night! Definitely going back!

Awesome experience! Reagan was a really good guide and she was extremely personable and cool. My horse, Sam ,was awesome. He was a big gentle giant enjoyed eating grass office side of the trail when we stopped. Highly recommend this.

The incredible view along the trail.

What a fun Midway, Utah activity. We were on a girls trip celebrating turning fifty and we took a sunset ride beside Deer Valley Reservoir. The ride was calm and easy and the views were gorgeous. It's not high adventure riding - it was pleasant and slow. Everywhere we looked we saw something lovely - mountains and valleys and incredible fall colors. Our guide was Bryn, a fun and sincere young man who told us great stories and kept us all engaged along the ride. Our horses were old souls and meandered the trail easily. It was a sweet way to end our trip together.

Our family had so much fun on our trail ride with Rocky Mountain Outfitters. Our group of 8 varied from beginners to experienced riders, and the trail was perfect for all of us. Bryn and Austin were fun guides and made the trail an even more enjoyable experience. We definitely recommend them and can't wait to be back.

Came here for a winter horseback ride on their trails. When we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by Sam who was an absolutely amazing. She took us over to where the horses were and introduced us to them. She very knowledgeable and made sure my boyfriend felt completely comfortable since he had never riden before. She took us on the trail leading the way and we had such fun conversation. The scenery was breathtaking and we enjoyed the ride so much. We were even able to see some wildlife while on our ride. It was such an amazing experience all throughout. She even stopped at this beautiful spot and took pictures of us to that we could remember the ride! Thank you Sam!!! If you are ever able to take a ride with them, I would not hesistate. Oh and ask for Sam to be your guide, you won't regret it.

Awesome views for this horse ride. Visiting from Texas and this is the only company that stays open throughout the winter with horse rides. I was very impressed with the customer service that Sam and Joe provided. Sam is very knowledgeable and gave a lot of cool facts and tips while on the trails.

    Very large horses!

Their horses are beautiful and quite amazing animals. We went on a horse drawn sleigh ride. I didn't know there would be a light show along the path when I booked so that was a very nice and beautiful surprise. We got the s'more package but they were struggling to light the fires so we ended up bringing the goodies home. The ride itself was about 20 mins, not long but still enjoyable.

    Wagon Ride in Heber Valley

And for a second there I thought I was a cowboy... Rocky Mountain Outfitters does so many fun things in Heber Valley! Fly fishing, horse riding, snowmobile tours, whitewater rafting... all depending on the season. We opted for the tamest and most appropriate for our group... the Chuck Wagon Dinner. With threats of 80% percent chance of rain forecast for the day over the past week, the event operators kept on calling to see if we wanted to move to a non-mountainous secure location. My manager told them no. She said, "I paid to sing Kumbaya in the mountains and dammit that's what we're going to do!" Miracle? Yes, because not one drop of rain came down while it poured over at our hotel in Park City We got in the wagon. It was not a chuck wagon, it was a open top modern transport trailer pulled by two horses. Two horses pulling 20 people, that is boss. The horses marched us around Soldier Hollow for about 20 minutes, bringing us to the eatin' place. Soldier Hollow was the Olympic event site in the 2002 Winter Games for Cross Country and Biathlon. We also passed this tiny wooden house in the middle of nowhere... Butch Cassidy stayed there! Dolly the Fiddler and a cowboy on a guitar serenaded us with country songs throughout the night. The ranch hands square danced with the ladies and taught us how to lasso (I just need a little more practice and I think I can catch some heffers). There was a campfire, steak, potatoes, dutch oven beans, salad, corn on the cob, and peach cobbler. The beer I was drinking? Chasing Tail Golden Ale. The married women were all swooning over one of the cowboys. The best line afterwards was, "Do you think he's at least half our age?" I can't say enough about the staff of Rocky Mountain Outfitters. Everyone there was friendly, entertaining and made our night a joy. If you're in the Salt Lake City/Park City area and want to do something a little different with your group, whether it's friends, family, or co-workers, a dinner in the mountains with clean and friendly cowboys can't be beat. What would have made it perfect is if the Coyote Ugly girls were up here to serve the beer and wine. But what was the real star of the evening? Heber Valley. 150 year old trees, mountain skyline, lush green grass, streams and rolling hills. God, Heber Valley is one beautiful place.

This was our first time riding out in the west. Coming from the midwest, we did not expect much more than what we have experienced back home. We were wrong. Ashley was our tour guide who helped us, very patiently, with routes and difficulties with our horses. We had one horse who was a little difficult but she helped us when a problem arose immediately. Thank you Ashley (and the soft horses) for our amazing tour and we will definitely be back next season!

So much fun!! Third time having Skinny as our guide and he's amazing! We did the elk meadow ride in Sundance this time and it was absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend!!

I spent almost a full 3 years taking riding lessons from multiple different instructors at Sage Creek. The atmosphere at the facility is toxic. The owner and other riders snap at each other, screaming and swearing at each other. This is not a family friendly environment. From the start of my time, I told my first instructor Jacob that I wanted to continue practicing my English riding and horsemanship. It took him 4 lessons before he was able to give me an English lesson. After me asking multiple times if he was able to put me on an English saddle. Jacob and other coaches I worked with consistently pressured me to do competitions when I had no interest and made that clear. All instructors, including the owner, Donnette, are unreliable. I drove from an hour away, and it was not uncommon for me to arrive to find out my instructor scheduled two lessons at once, if not finding out the whole barn was out of town for a show and the staff simply weren't there. Donnette, specifically would consistently forget about lessons. I would have to confirm with text to make sure she'd be there just to have her still schedule another student on my time. Donnette has a history of emotional outbursts, discussion and communication are impossible with Donnette, if you expect to have a working relationship with your riding instructor she is not for you. Donnette expects sub-ordinance and no questions. Donnette, Dana, and Rebecca all contribute to the toxic environment at the barn by complaining about their clients loudly. I knew the barn had a problem with gossip and bullying but never imagined it could be so childish. One day I arrived at the barn and was told I was double booked. I was irritated but started to prepare for the lesson anyways. As I put in my ear peice radio, I heard Donnette around the corner with her previous client on her own radio. She was belittling me, thinking I couldn't hear her, " ...she looked like she was going to cry!" I told her I was leaving after I heard her and she yelled at me that I'm banned from her property and didn't stop yelled at me until I walked away. This barn is a joke. I refuse to stoke the owners ego anymore, and do not know why I put up with it for so long, such a waste of money. If anything this barn is 100% NOT child friendly.

I took my time doing the hike--listened to some music; noticed the different plants; took breaks; and then, took my headphones off to really soak in nature. It was so therapeutic. Once I reached the final point, I noticed it was quite packed when I went around fall season; and I'm not surprised. The weather was perfect to dip in the hot springs; and the colorful fall leaves made my experience extra vibrant. The water was clean; temperature of water varies depending on where you're sitting; and each area vary in size. As for someone who enjoys exploring and all the adventures, I decided to take my time to sit in each hot springs. Honestly, my favorite is the first one as the hiker approaches the start of hot springs. It's not big, but it's more secluded. It has a nice balance of shade and sunlight; little waterfalls; and some rocks to hop over and/or sit on. I felt as if it was part of my backyard, lol. I couldn't help but to take so much pictures. I'm definitely coming back again during the spring or summer to experience it differently.

We didn't want to pay for a hot spring since the other ones were busy and the "natural" element is no longer there. However, we weren't as prepared as we thought we were. We visited this hot spring in late December which meant a lot of the roads leading there were closed due to the snow. We walked about 1 mile before reaching the trailhead. Once you reach a sign that points straight and right, take the right to cross the small bridge towards the side of the mountain. Our saving grace was google maps but it wasn't fully accurate at times. Remember that once you cross that bridge, the river should stay on your right until you reach the springs. This trek was TOUGH and feels like 10 miles (when it's only about 5) because of the hills and thick snow/ice. We did not have spikes or sticks to help so we had to rely on each other and our surroundings. It took about 2.5 hours going since we didn't stop and were going fairly quickly and this is coming from someone who does not hike regularly. There was a portion of the hike that was a uphill climb using a rope which was probably the scariest part for me because it was icy and not stable (hence why spikes would help). Once you near the springs, the smell of sulfur becomes strong and the river begins changing color from clear to blue. There are 2 spots that is on google maps, the first one was very busy but it was not the main attraction. We kept walking and got to the actual fifth water hot springs which was still kind of busy but enjoyable. We got into both the hot springs and the cold springs and it was a very cool experience. The hike back was much faster since we knew where we were going but still hard. If you want to challenge yourself to a hike with a cool and relaxing reward of being in the hot springs, I would recommend this hike! I'm sure it's easier when it's not snowy/icy but being in naturally hot pools while your surroundings are covered in snow is beautiful and I would do this again. Tips: -We forgot towels which was a rookie mistake so make sure to take some! -Remember to take off any jewelry prior to going/getting in the hot springs because the sulfur will tarnish it. -Wear thick socks to avoid frozen toes. -The hike itself was beautiful so remember to look up and enjoy the scenery instead of always looking down at the trail. -Start EARLY because it will take at least half a day to complete
