Garlic Nan Bread
Justin V.

The moment I stepped in, the staff was super welcoming and accommodating. They let me taste test all of their flavors, making sure beforehand to ask whether I wanted spicy or mild (ALWAYS SPICY!). They have a really good set of flavors. I originally planned going with the mushroom chicken, but the Honey Garlic Chicken and Honey Sesame Chicken were just so good. They made the meal fresh and I was surprised at the portioning! I had some of the curry on my rice, and space to dip my nan bread into the curry as well. I'm really full and super happy! I'm definitely going to recommend this place, and I'll be back!

Picked up dinner to go. Delicious food- Garlic Butter Naan, Steamed Basmati Rice, Spicy Noodles, Chicken Tikka Masala, Potato Curry, Honey Sesame Chicken Curry, and Pinto Bean Curry. Freshly Prepared and wonderful service. They allow you taste any of the Curries so you can get an idea of how spicy they are. Great variety of Currie a nice selection of vegetarian options. Very satisfying and filling.

While trying to find a dinner spot on our way into Parker, we discovered this newly opened restaurant - Dee's Curry. Dee himself welcomed us in and gave us samples of each of his curries (spoiler: all are delicious). While we were tasting, he explained that he takes special care to cook his food without oils or extra fat, and even soaks his rice to remove excess starch. This restaurant does not cut corners when it comes to serving delicious and healthy dishes. The food itself is flavorful and agrees well with your body. I had the mushroom chicken and butter chicken with long grain rice, and it was an excellent combo with the spicy chutney. My parents had the BBQ chicken and the teriyaki chicken as well, but we all loved the mushroom chicken in particular. Dee also gave us a serving of sesame chicken free of charge! I haven't felt so stuffed but at the same time so light after eating a meal in a long time. While we ate, Dee was incredibly friendly and told us his story of how he and his family moved to Parker and he fulfilled his dream of opening a restaurant that feels as good as it tastes. On Saturdays, they serve a special, traditional Indian meal that changes each week. As I continue to visit Parker in the future, I will definitely be stopping and supporting this business, hopefully trying new and exciting dishes along the way. If you're in Parker, give this place a try. You can taste and feel the care and thoughtfulness that goes into this restaurant, and it makes all the difference. Thank you Dee for bringing new life to Parker!

Am I hallucinating or did I reach a desert oasis of fresh food amazingly spiced and obviously made with love??? Wow, can't tell you how happy I am to find this gem in Parker! Dee makes everything from scratch and lets you sample all the delicious entrees. The fruit salad was a fresh and sweet ending to our fabulous meal.

I stay at budget motels like Motel 6 all the time, so I'm not expecting luxury. We stayed at Fox RV Resort last year, so we knew exactly what we were booking--a dated RV with 1990s decor and basic amenities. Last year, our only issue was that the grill had no propane. This year was a completely different story. We arrived on an extremely hot day only to find that the RV had no power. It was unbearably hot inside, and after checking the breakers ourselves, nothing worked. We called the main number, and someone came down to turn the power on. He even acknowledged that it should have been turned on before we arrived. Once we started unpacking, we noticed the back window was covered with a piece of cardboard to block out light. Then we discovered the bathroom smelled like raw sewer. After reading older Yelp reviews, I realized this has apparently been an ongoing issue with this same trailer for years. Next, we found out there was no grill, even though the website advertises one. We had brought a cooler full of food specifically to grill during our stay. We called and were told someone would bring one over. Forty minutes later, still no grill, so my husband called again. The owner answered sounding irritated and basically snapped that it would get there. Later that night, around 9 p.m., the Wi-Fi wasn't working. We weren't upset--we just wanted to make sure there wasn't a switch or something inside the RV that needed to be turned on. Instead of helping us, the owner answered the phone by saying, "Do you know what time it is?" He then went on a rant about how we'd already called twice that day with complaints before telling us to "pack your shit and go." My husband stayed remarkably calm. I honestly would have hung up. The owner also told us, "This isn't the Ritz." No kidding. We weren't expecting the Ritz. We were expecting the amenities that were advertised and basic customer service. The issues with the RV were frustrating, but things happen. What made this experience completely unacceptable was the owner's attitude. I've never been spoken to by a business owner that way in my life. If you value even basic customer service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

An older songtress was at the mic, crooning a sorrowful "Send in the Clowns" as we shuffled to our seats, some of us with a little extra boogie behind each step. I scanned the place and noticed there weren't any karaoke song/title books strewn about... we found out through our friendly waitress that you just tell the Karaoke Master the name of your song and you're good to go. 'Modern,' I thought to myself. I racked my brain for the perfect song for such a perfect place. Piano Man? The crowd did look pretty good for a Saturday. Sweet Caroline? Jesse's Girl? I didn't know. Brian suggested "Friends in Low Places" and we were off to the races. I put both my name and Brian's in for the song. 'It was going to be a duet,' I thought. Good. While we were waiting to entertain the crowd with our vocal talents, we ordered dinner and drinks. Everything was amazing, by the way. Finally, the time had come. The Karaoke Master announced our names, "Chris and Brian, you're up!" I gulped and tugged at my collar. I said to Brian, "Well, here goes nothing." He looked at me and said, "let's rock this place." His fist bumped mine. We both got out of our chairs and headed to the stage. I grabbed the mic, pulled it in close. The microphone smelled like beer. 'Damn,' I thought. 'We should've gone with Piano Man.' No matter, the show must go on. The screen said "Friends in Low Places" is sung in the key of A major, but I ignored it because I did not know what that meant. "Blame it on my roots," we sang. "I showed up in boots," we continued. By the time we got to the chorus, the crowd was up on its feet, the excitement palpable. The locals had started a line dance during the second verse and people were fighting to get to the dance floor. I can't remember if there was disco ball going at some point, but it *felt* like there was, you know? Our collective vocal modulations continued throughout the song, each verse getting somehow better, as if each of us was singing back-up to each other's lead vocals, hearts beating in unison, too. We won over the Big River crowd at Dumas Walkers that night. As Brian and I finished to what felt like thunderous applause, we headed back to our seats, hands clapping our backs, when I heard one patron whisper, "I'd hate to follow that." High praise, it felt good. "Chris, you're up!" the Karaoke Master announced. 'An encore,' I thought. 'Nice.' We stayed for dessert.

There was only one server, Josh, running the entire front of the house by himself. Apparently this is customary on Wednesdays. Before he could seat us, he had to clear off a table. Several tables were just in disarray and when people came in, this poor man had to scramble to clean something off. I went to the bathroom and one stall had absolutely no toilet paper or covers. And one dispenser had no soap. The bathroom was just yucky. When I came back, we still didn't have menus or drinks. When our food came, we asked for condiments that took too long that we ended up taking them from another table. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The cook gave me a stale biscuit that just ruined my meal. I couldn't eat it or ask for it to be remade because Josh was too busy to check in on us or refill our drinks. I told him when he came to pick up the plates. He apologized, but he didn't remove it from the check. I paid $10 for a meal I couldn't eat. We got a piece of pie and the taste was kind of weird...like it had been freezer burned and then defrosted. The whole experience was disappointing.
