Walked in and waited to be seated. There was one group to tge right of the door. One group to left. One patron at the bar/counter. And there were five or six dirty tables. The hostess/waitress said there was a clean table I the back. I went back and sat down right across from the restrooms. The smell was horrid! I cannot believe the smell. I decided that I wasn't going to be able to adjust to the smell. Rather than be rude, I asked if I could get a slice of chocolate cream pie to go. It seemed like an odd request, but I thought someone should fix the smell in the back and bus some tables (there was only one younger waitress/hostess there so I doubt she can do everything herself, but still, tables have to be bussed). One slice of pie cost $5.14 -- there was a transaction fee to use a debit card. Really? I'm not sure one slice of pie is worth $5 -- considering that this looks like a premade pie (no one at this establishment made this pie) I am disappointed. Won't be back due to the smell and high cost of a slice of pie. I mean, I couldn't get away from the smell fast enough. Plus: The waitress/hostess was nice. I feel bad she has to be around that smell. And it's unfortunate she doesn't have any help. read more

If you like old style dinners you'll love this place. It's clean, has a good menu, fast, friendly service and the very best homemade steak fries! Absolutely cooked to perfection. I had the Roadrunner sandwich which is slice roast beef with cheese, tomato and green chiles on grilled sourdough. My husband ordered the patty melt which he said was was fantastic. Had a great breakfast this morning, this old school diner on the edge of town was surprisingly great! From the looks of the place you would not expect this level of food. But everything him scratch made and from what I can tell delicious. I had eggs and Spicy Sausage. I was going to have the pesole however they served the last bowl of it right after I arrived. I spoke to the server and she stated that they run out every Saturday around 10:00am. I spoke with the gentleman that stole my bowl and he stated that he come there every weekend either Saturday for the Pesole or Sunday for the Menudo. I was thinking that was cool until he told me he drove from Yuma to get it. Wow Yuma. Nevertheless I am going to have to get their earlier I think. Wife had carne Asada burrito. Tasteless meat that was very gristly. They forgot to put cheese in the burrito, and when notified of this oversight the busser brought some shredded cheese in a tiny bowl and left it on the table. No offer to reheat. I had chili size. Earns coffee shop is your basic run of the mill coffee shop. It's what you might expect in a little dusty town. Although that may not sound impressive, it's one of the only decent breakfast places in this part of town. I ordered breakfast with three eggs and bacon. Hit the spot! Can't really complain. Coffee Ern's is on the I-95 as you head South towards Quartzsite and Yuma. As I drove though Parker... a busy little place that caters to the weekend vacationers... I really needed a coffee and began to wonder if there was caffeine anywhere outside of the resorts. I pulled into Coffee Ern's because of the name, not interested in breakfast but looking for a good cup of joe. This is a 50s diner complete with booths and waitresses in cute uniforms. One came over immediately but informed me that the coffee here was not what I was looking for. But, if I wanted to simply get a good coffee, I should head over to the Starbucks in the Safeway. Then she and a few other waitresses joked very tongue in cheek that I should bring them back lattes too. The interaction was really cute and their sense of humour made my day. Found this nice family diner for brunch while passing through Parker, AZ on our motorcycles. The coffee urn on a pole is what caught my eye. We ordered fried okra which was perfectly done and didn't taste pre-packaged/frozen (although, I'd bet it was). My tuna melt was overflowing with meat and good tastes. My hubby's open face turkey sandwich was scrumptious. Generous portions, friendly casual service and a family atmosphere made this a very enjoyable stop. There were 2 drawbacks worth mentioning though. The coffee did not taste good at all but I'm going to attribute that to the bad tasting water. It's hard to make good coffee when you start with bad tasting water. Secondly, this is technically on the Indian Reservation. The tax is over 16%! I thought she'd added in a tip or overcharged us for our meals, but it was the tax that hurt the bottom line. Food, service, location, quantity was great. Coffee, water and tax not so much. Good greasy spoon type place. Quiet. Friendly staff. Clean. We all ended up with grilled sandwiches that were ok. The hamburger was half the size of the bun, but very tasty. Wanted to eat at the casino but the prices at the Willow were atrocious and they closed early. The cafe only offers buffet. Decided to leave and came upon Coffee Ern's and decided to try it. 11:00 at night, only ones there. The waitress was so helpful and she and the cook were a good team.
