Checked the numbers the tech had measured for the refraction but never mentioned the prism for my left eye (not the eye of concern) so when I went to fill it somewhere else they had to wait for clarification. I had to call back and wait until they told me why they didn't put it in the new prescription and never said why at the appointment. The technician was fine but I personally felt like Dr. Tran was rushing and made no attempt to really answer my questions. It might be the new company that bought out the practice. Quote for new lenses was 600.00 . No, I would not recommend them now, And I will not go back.

Between COVID and having an unreasonable stash of daily contacts, I put off my eye exam for longer than I should have. I really need new glasses, though, and had some urgency around spending HSA money that was rolled over during the pandemic. Scheduling was easy peasy - I made my appointment on the website and received a confirmation quickly, which included instructions on completing new patient paperwork online in advance. I received a text reminder of my appointment the day before. I was greeted right away, given a few additional forms to fill out, and then taken in back for initial testing. I waited in the lobby for a few minutes before my exam with Dr. Udesky. It was a brief wait and, honestly, the highlight of my day because I got to see how sweetly Dr. Udesky and his team interacted with the patient before me - a little girl who appeared to be four or five years old. She wanted her "eye pictures" to take home and they printed copies for her before sending her off with a fist bump. My exam was great and Dr. Udesky was friendly and warm. I asked a few questions about my current daily contacts, whether contacts or glasses would be better while staring at computer monitors all day, etc. He also gave me some helpful insight into my eye health relative to a medical condition and understanding long term care. I'd been on the fence about ordering glasses or going with an Internet retailer but, genuinely, Dr. Udesky offers competitive pricing (at least in this scenario where I was also committed to ordering contacts). Maria helped me choose frames and I'm excited for them to come in, particularly after years of being unhappy with my glasses from another retailer that bent and were misshapen almost immediately. She was knowledgeable, took my feedback into consideration, and selected the winning pair. I suppose I should mention that I don't have glasses or contacts in hand so this could change, but given how positive my experience was, I'm currently a happy customer and glad to support a local Northbrook doctor and his team. (For the record, I was also sent off with a fist bump and an elbow bump so that doesn't appear to be exclusively for the kids.) :)

Its very easy to make appointments and communicate with the office and the staff is great. Dr. Frohm uses all of the modern technology to make sure you are getting a great exam - not just checking your vision but really the health of your eyes. But the best thing is that he has incredible 'bedside manner'. He explains everything he is testing and why its important and ultimately he treats decisions around your vision correction as a partnership. He advises me on how to balance my distance and reading options and walks through how different lenses might affect me. He's also never looking to 'sell' anything - he listens to the patient and simply makes recommendations. Plus, he's just a really nice person who has ties back to the area/community.

Dr. Han was amazing, she really listened to my concerns, was very personable, and actually spent time to get to know me, unlike most doctors who are in and out. Susan the manager was also really passionate about her job and helped me pick two fantastic pairs of glasses. Although, they don't have name brands like Gucci, Versace, Prada. They have some designers I've never heard of that also have nice frames and I was able to pick something trendy. I was referred by my internist, Dr. Michael Caughron. The referral was a response to my question,"Do you know a good Optometrist?" Dr. Henderson and his staff have exceeded my expectations for a professional, caring and safe facility. His thoughtful implementation of Covid protections should allow anyone to feel as safe as possible during this time of Covid 19. Every person is interviewed before entering the office. Everyone has their temperature taken. It is mandatory to wear a face mask. Every chair is wiped clean before a person sits in it. Patients leave the building via a separate exit. His staff is wonderful. I was trying in my new contacts and somehow the lens dropped on the table and bounced onto the floor. The first Assistent tried to find the lens and recruited two more office staff to find the lens. The lens was clear which makes the hard contact lens almost impossible to find. I had given up , but they were successful!!! I have a difficult prescription and a previous experience of the optometrist giving up on me. Dr. Henderson is patient and exacting and has answered all my many questions. I can now sit enjoying my cappuccino and see clearly three blocks away.

One of my friends mentioned she had a great consultation with Dr. Tamara Fountain about a lower blepharoplasty so I decided to do the same. I also noticed that she was highly recommended on a fb group i had joined all about blepharoplasty, although the pics of people post surgery on that fb group were enough to make me want to cancel my appointment. I was able to get an appointment a few weeks after calling. Her office is conveniently located near my house, which I liked since the other doctors i was referred to were in the city or far suburbs. I was seen within minutes of arriving for my appointment. They did an eyesight test which i wasn't expecting and didn't put my contacts in that morning (and my glasses were in the car). So i highly recommend bringing any corrective eyewear you have. Dr. Fountain did a great job of explaining why i have bags (thank you genetics). She then told me she didn't think I needed surgery for many years and I really appreciated her honesty. She did show me some more post surgery pics to properly scare me about future surgery, but I do appreciate knowing what I would be getting myself into. She suggested looking into med spa treatments and even gave me some names (one located within her office) and said to come back years from now...and in the meantime to send my mom. :) Overall, I was really impressed with the way she explained everything and her honesty.
