This is my first time ever riding a snowmobile! The entire process from booking over the phone down to the tour was amazing! Jake was our tour guide and so friendly, great attitude and made the experience that much better! Highly recommend this tour!

This was my first ever winter sport activity and wow. This was an experience of a lifetime! Kyle was an amazing tour guide! He was a great teacher, had a lot of energy & was a wonderful photographer. The tour was absolutely beautiful and easy to navigate for a beginner like myself. The views were breathtaking! And the adrenaline rush was never ending! They have boot & helmet rentals just in case you need it. And they have snow goggles you can purchase. Be sure to plan your reservation in advance. You won't regret it!

Landon was a great guide. First time we were here was 25 years ago and now back with our children. Great place. Organized. Will do private tour next time!

I love excursions. When the roommate suggested we go snowmobiling, I was definitely down. We went with his two brothers and sister in law on Tuesday, December 6th. We signed up for the 9am tour and got there about 20 minutes prior. (Though they suggest getting there about 30 mins prior.) We ended up getting three snowmobiles and luckily, it was just us, so it was like a private tour. Rates were $159 for 2 hours per snowmobile plus $35 per passenger. If you want insurance, it's $7 per person. Not per snowmobile which I thought was weird. So it was $7 to insure the roommate's middle brother's snowmobile since he was riding by himself, but $14 for our snowmobile since we had two people. Helmets are mandatory and included in rental, so you don't need to bring a helmet. Eyewear is mandatory as well, so bring goggles or you'll need to purchase them as they are not avail for rent. I guess sunglasses will do on milder days, but it was freezing when we went, so goggles with a face mask would be the way to go. The experience at the actual facility before we left was weird. The lady helping us out just came up to me while I was filling out paperwork and pulled up my pant leg without asking. Is there no thing such as personal space?! She tried to tell me my boots weren't snow boots even though I'd been wearing them the whole trip. I ended up standing my ground and wore my boots instead of renting ones from them. Cuz hello, they were snow boots! Then when we tried to pay, their credit card machine wasn't working. WTF?! We ended up paying in cash cuz we didn't want to wait for them to figure out what was wrong with the CC machine. Overall, the tour was fun. I really liked our tour guide. We first rode up to an open space and played around. Here, you can switch drivers, get comfy with the snowmobile, go as fast as you want, etc. It was fun riding on powder as it's smoother and I believe we could go faster. From here, we went up to the top of the mountain for an awesome view. We spent a little bit of time here enjoying the sights, taking pix, etc. On the way back, we did lose the older brother and sister in law, so our guide went back to get them. There is some downhill, so you can accidentally veer off the path a little. It wasn't too bad though and our guide got their snowmobile back on track. In the end, we tipped him $60. Fun excursion. Though I probably would have preferred a longer one with more sights. I did like our tour guide, but the lady at the facility made the start a very unpleasant experience for me. 4 stars for the tour, but 0 stars for her. Averaging it out to 2 stars.

Wife and I came to Park City to ski for the week and decided on Sunday to have a go at snowmobiling and picked Summit. They had a shuttle get us at the hotel and take us to the ranch. There we met Kyle who was our guide for the 2 hours. A GREAT GUY!!! Very personable and was able to meet the needs of everyone in the group of 8 regardless of skill level. This is NOT one of those "2 hour" tours that is 25% admin time it was out on the trail all the way up to a summit point overlooking the beautiful valleys and mountain ranges making up Park City. What a great time!!

    The snowmobile..

The experience was great! Our guide Jake took good care of us during our ride. He made sure no one was left behind. He helped take pictures at the top of the mountain and we enjoyed it.

This place gets five stars because of the "no man/machine left behind" motto. Jake was our guide and the level of patients that he had with our group was pretty amazing. Patience was needed because we did have someone in our group that was scared of all the downhill parts of the tour but Jake was understanding and talked her through her fears on the snowmobile. The overall trail was well groomed and had awesome views. The tour was two hours that they flew by quickly, but for me it was just enough time to get my thrills in and go fast on the snowmobile. We got some awesome pictures at the top of the mountain and Jake even suggested some poses that we could do on the machine that turned out good. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend. It looks like they only have two hour options and other companies have two hour or four hour options. But for me the two hour option was just enough.

I'm surprised there are no reviews for this place?? My family and I were staying at the St.Regis and wanted to try snowmobiling. No one else seemed to be open quite yet but the hotel concierge managed to find this gem! They even picked us up at our hotel free of charge! Ryan was our guide and he was very nice. He gave excellent direction and even offered to take pictures for everyone. We did the one hour ride which I felt was plenty! Your hands start to get sore after a while from steering and accelerating. We got lucky and had some fresh powder snow and even saw a family of deer on the mountain top! Kids 10 and under ride for free! We had our 8 year old with us and she had a blast!! It was well worth the cost because it was the highlight of our trip! Oh and don't forget to tip your tour guide :) PS bring a sturdy pair of sunglasses or googles! If it's snowing the ice will get in your eyes and strong wind. Eye protection is a must!

This was my first season skiing, and my first time here I made the mistake of going up Gadzoom and Little Cloud chairs and got cliffed out in Little Cloud Bowl with all the black diamonds. I wasn't going to call ski patrol to take me down in the basket like my friend did at the top of Gadzoom after having a panic attack, and slowly, tediously made my way down. It was quite the adventure, looking back. I couldn't believe how long it took and how much distance and vertical drop I covered to get to the bottom; the runs here are some of the longest I've been on. One benefit of this resort over Alta is not needing parking reservations during weekends, which saved my ski day one Saturday I tried going to Alta without a parking reservation, then had to come here after talking to the parking attendant there putting $250 tickets on cars without reservations. The skiable area is massive here as well, and there's a whole other skiable side of the mountain (Mineral Basin) with breathtaking views you get to by taking this conveyer belt thing through a secret mining tunnel. The hoards of snowboarders do cause way more lines and congestion here than Alta, and I had to wait in line for a while for the tram on a Saturday. Luckily I soon found the secret tunnel I won't disclose the location of, and was able to ski at Mineral Basin with no lines the rest of that day. There's a lot more moguls and worse snow coverage here than Alta as well, though this year was an extreme outlier and the worst snow year in 4+ decades. It's a shame the Ikon pass only has 7 days to split between here and Alta, as I used up most of my days at Alta and didn't get a chance to explore all the different areas of this vast resort this season.

Little cottonwood canyon receives (objectively) the highest quality snow in the world (And a lot of it!). Some of the hardest, gnarliest terrain in the world is found across the entire resort. Some of my favorite adolescent memories reside here, and snowbird will always hold a special place in my heart. I could go on and on about the endless pros and minimal cons, but I believe every passionate skier deserves to experience the magic of the Wasatch mountains for themselves... With this being said, snowbird is NOT a family friendly or beginner mountain. There are an extremely low number of beginner/intermediate trails, and even these can get bumped up...

My husband even took the lift with Connor for a few green runs at the end. Basically all 3 family members got like a 1 hr private lesson, and everyone is looking forward to more! (I will say the 3-hr half day was the perfect amount of time as some members of our party were suffering from boot fatigue and we were probably outfitted too warm for spring skiing.) Also, I REALLY appreciated that Connor met us at the car and was sooooo helpful getting everyone into their ski boots and gear for the day. That literally took about a half hour of our time but it would've been miserable on our own (I don't doubt that my husband and younger son would've given up at that point) so THANK YOU CONNOR for your endless patience and support!!! P.S. I totally forgot to shout out James for the quick replies and giving us so much guidance over the phone both before and after the lesson. He recommended Solitude (prob the most economical lift tickets at this time of year) and he also advised my husband on switching out his boots for ones that were more comfortable. The last time I went it was snowing while sunny out somehow, with the sun shining through the storm clouds above, and felt surreal. This was my first season skiing, though this is hands down the best ski resort I've been to so far. One time this April I made the mistake of crossing over into Snowbird's Mineral Basin, and the conditions were so much worse for just being on the other side of the ridge. It was way hotter, sunnier, and more crowded, with way more rocks, moguls, and dirt spots littering the runs, so I crossed back into Alta after 2 runs. The runs at Alta are wide and well groomed, so you can pick up some serious speed without feeling like you're risking your life doing so. Late season there was barely anyone else there too, even while it was snowing somehow (likely an effect of not allowing snowboarders). The staff here are top notch and always professional, and Alta has some of the best chairlifts I've seen. Another huge plus is how close you can park to the points at which you get on the base mountain chairlifts, as walking in ski boots while carrying skis is no fun. You can literally ski right up to your car at the end of the day if you park in the right spot. They also have a rope tow from base to base, which saves you from possibly having to take the bus at the end of the day to the other base. The only hiccups here were the requiring of parking passes on weekends, and the pass scanner machine midway up Collins Lift not reading my Ikon Pass with no worker nearby to help, so I'd have to ski down to the bottom and take the lift all the way up.

Brighton's so deep in the mountains it was getting even more snow than Alta or Snowbird late season. Nonetheless, most of the skiable area was closed from late April on, and they had some really sticky slush near the bottom. I went here on the week of April 20th (the stoner holiday) not thinking anything of it, and have never seen such a high concentration of intoxicated, degenerate, drug-obsessed college kids and degenerate behavior. These kids were consuming alcohol on the runs, making fun of, laughing at and humiliating beginners, and couldn't stop chairlift blabbing about jumping people, buying alcohol underaged, and "whippets" or however you spell it, their apparent drug of choice. One of these degenerates trying to impress his female companion seemingly tried to start a fight with me for putting the bar down on the chairlift, then completely backtracked and apologized after realizing how much bigger than him I was. Having the Ikon Pass and going to Alta that same week, I wanted to find the explanatory factor for the extreme disparity in guests between here and Alta that particular week. I looked online and saw Brighton was selling day passes for only $49, and marketing their late season as an event, "The Big Melt", geared toward younger people looking to party. Most of the staff here were nice and professional, with a few exceptions. One attractive blonde girl working here was rude and standoffish when I asked what time they close, as they kept changing the closing time on a weekly basis and nobody seemed to know. If you're that rude and arrogant, you probably shouldn't be working in hospitality. Another day an older gentleman working here rushed me down the mountain when I was stopped, trying to take pictures of the view near the top of Snake Creek Express, saying they were closing the run, basically acting like I was inconveniencing him. On the upside, the night skiing and tree skiing was exceptional here when I went earlier in the season, and the girl I took said this was her favorite resort. When I tried taking her to Snowbird she had a panic attack, saying it was too steep, and had to have ski patrol take her down in the basket, so Brighton's probably more beginner friendly.

The skiers at Snowbasin have excellent etiquette and there is plenty of space on the slopes even on the busiest days. So if the lift lines are long, know that the slopes won't be congested.
