We had an incredible day with Connor at Solitude -- my husband, 7 year old and almost 4 year old are all 1st time skiiers and Connor was SO patient and encouraging and had them all comfortable coming down the bunny slopes on their own within our half day lesson. My husband even took the lift with Connor for a few green runs at the end. He also engaged our older son right away (when our younger one was having an early meltdown) but also came back to the little one after he calmed down and was able to get him excited and comfortable on the slopes. Basically all 3 family members got like a 1 hr private lesson, and everyone is looking forward to more! (I will say the 3-hr half day was the perfect amount of time as some members of our party were suffering from boot fatigue and we were probably outfitted too warm for spring skiing.) Also, I REALLY appreciated that Connor met us at the car and was sooooo helpful getting everyone into their ski boots and gear for the day. That literally took about a half hour of our time but it would've been miserable on our own (I don't doubt that my husband and younger son would've given up at that point) so THANK YOU CONNOR for your endless patience and support!!! P.S. I totally forgot to shout out James for the quick replies and giving us so much guidance over the phone both before and after the lesson. He recommended Solitude (prob the most economical lift tickets at this time of year) and he also advised my husband on switching out his boots for ones that were more comfortable. Amazing to see how fast they progressed compared to group lessons. After a couple "ski school experiences" my daughter and I decided to find an instructor for ourselves for the day to level up from beginners to intermediate skiers. Luckily I found RideUT and James. I cannot recommend him enough. Before taking lessons with him, I was hesitant about skiing and unsure if I would ever truly enjoy the sport. My daughter had 2 day ski lessons with James this week. She had a lot of fun and learned a lot . By the end of the week, she feels more comfortable with double black runs. James knows the mountain very well. He is very professional and reasonably priced! He also recorded the day with his go pro so my daughter has good memories to share with us and her friends . I had a really awesome experience with James and Conner, both of the guys were super patient and helpful. We did two half days of lessons which was perfect. The first day with James we learned the basics, the second day we took those skills and built off of them. By the end of day 2 I felt way more comfortable on slopes and had plenty of new skills to practice. I also really loved how much James and Connor paid attention to detail, from the time we were trying on gear to the end of the experience, they was always quick to point out if we were doing something wrong and why it was important. They were also on top of pointing out best practices and when we were doing well to help build our confidence. Overall really great experience and would 100% use them again! These guys are great. My husband and I rented skis and boots for a full season and had James give us a full day private lesson. Best prices we could find and we did our research! After the full day lesson the two of us were able to pick up the basics/technique and have been skiing every weekend since. James was great company and very attentive! Why spend more money on a shared lesson when you can get the personal attention you need for less money! $100 less than the resort and it was a private lesson for the both of us! I had an issue with my boots and they met me after hours around the holidays to exchange them. They also offered to swap out our skis if we decided we wanted something more aggressive after graduating from our beginner skis. Great prices on googles and used gear too, if you're looking to buy! We had James ski with our eleven year old two days. She has immensely improved as a skier and has confidence and enjoys skiing with the rest of our family. We compared the cost of the resort instructors and felt this was a much better value. Our daughter said that James gave her really good explanation on how to do the moves to get her skis close together. She really felt comfortable being with him and wants to ski again with him. Perfect experience! We had intermediate ski lessons with James for two straight days at the Canyons and my family enjoyed it very very much. My kids (10 and 12) really improved their technique (so did I), much much faster than I imagined. And my 5 year old learned in one day what he did not in 3 days at ski school. Now my kids ask everyday if we can go out skiing to the fun runs with their buddy James. Rentals with RideUt were also great (almost new and very good level equipment) and incredible pricing. I've been skiing for years and last week I finally took my first, professional, ski lesson at Park City Mountain with James from Ride Utah. He was very knowledgable and friendly it was easy to spend the day with him. I learned so much and the next day I actually hit a couple Black Diamond runs with my husband, which I'd never done before. James has a huge amount of patience and it's obviously he is super experienced and thoroughly enjoys what he does. The rate was about half of what the resorts charge for lessons so this was attractive as well. Great time and great experience - give him a call! read more

My daughter and I recently skied at Park City and set up a 1/2 day lesson with James to get started. He was able to immediately assess our strengths and weaknesses and choose the best order of the difficulty of trails and skills needed to improve our skiing and confidence levels. I just had the best ski day in 7 years !!! I was fortunate enough to have James as an instructor and I cannot say enough great things about the experience! I have been struggling to improve past a solid Green and a timid Blue skier for several seasons. After one day I am amazed at how confident I feel and how much I am looking forward to the next level. We are in Park City several times throughout the year and I will ask for instruction from James every time. He is super knowledgeable, patient and he inspires you to challenge yourself like you may not have done before. We had 4 days of ski lessons with James and Weston and couldn't have had a better experience. James taught my 11 and 12 year kids and me (43) and by day 2 we were easily skiing greens and blues. Weston taught my 5 year old daughter and she too, by day 2, was able to ski with all of us down blue runs (I think my kids all went down a black run as well). Their expertise of skiing, knowledge of the mountains, and patience were a winning combination. We truly enjoyed their company as well. Last year we all tried skiing and spent countless days apart in separate ski lessons. This year, we were able to ski as a family. It was the best family vacation we've had. I would highly recommend Ridetogetherslc. Used them for snowboard instruction for my 14 year old son and I. We are absolute beginners and we were up and riding within an hour. My son finished the day on an intermediate run. The price was much more reasonable than the resorts for instruction. Ask for Weston if you book with these guys.
