There were several picnic tables under a protective roof. The wind was horrible however that day. It was a bit chilly even though it was 75 degrees. The park has restrooms, a water fountain, and several things you can do, riding bikes, running, walking g, and floating the water as well as other things. It's a really pretty area with lots of trees and water that runs along the park. We had a great time and would highly recommend this park for a nice family time

If you want to come and take a breather and let some steam out, this is the place. There is a five-mile hike if you want to bike, skateboard, walk or run. The hike is amazing. Beautiful scenery. As we were walking we found this really awesome cave! Too scared to go inside though. As you are walking there is a nice creek on the side and picnic benches. Nice spot to chillax. There are bathrooms and also a playground for the kids. They have this cool train you can play on as well. The only thing I didn't see is a fire pit or grill to BBQ. There are a few other spots nearby that have these if you want.

From the…read moreparking lot, there are a a series of winding paved paths one can wander through, with some benches for some silent contemplation in nature. Once through the paths, you come out to the small-ish lake where there's a path that leads you all the way around, with plenty of opportunities to go back out to another path. It was semi-busy when we went during a weekday afternoon, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'd like to come back with my bike and to bring my dog back to possibly swim. I saw a swimming area, but people were fishing nearby, and I knew that my dog would ruin their game! Lovely for a solo / family or date outing on a sunny afternoon or sunsetting evening.

First it is a beautiful drive from Park City where we were staying. The 2 ladies at the trout farm were very nice and helpful with the bait, rod and even recipes. Ledgefork is an incredibly beautiful campground in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The…read morecampground is managed by the Utah Recreation Company/Go Camp Utah. It is located about 30 minutes Northeast of Kamas, with the last 5 miles on a dirt/rock road. Reservations are easily made on the Recreation government website. The campground is on the edge of the Smith and Morehouse Reservoir, with access to a number of hiking trails nearby. While the Reservoir itself is open to boats, many areas seemed shallow and mucky to me, and I did not see boats in the water. I did see plenty of people fishing, however, so it's likely a good spot for that. The section of the Reservoir near the campground is dried up, leaving behind an eerie looking landscape of jagged tree trunks and aquatic plants. It's not the most beautiful sight, but it is definitely very interesting. The campsites themselves are located across 2 loops. While the campground was completely full during my visit, Loop A definitely felt spacious and private, whereas Loop B felt crowded and like a huge fishing and country music party (although I didn't see the "tent only" sites). Which would probably be fun if that's your thing, but I prefer private, quiet, and wooded sites. So our site (32) in Loop A was perfect for me! The site itself was very large and had lots of beautiful trees, just as many of the sites in the loop were fairly heavily wooded. We saw a number of different types of birds in addition to squirrels and chipmunks among the pine and aspen trees. We also awoke to bear poop along the path to the dumpster, so keep in mind you might have some large guests lurking around at night! The campsites do not have water (a few spigots are located throughout each loop), electricity, or a dump station. As we were heading back to SLC, we stopped at Jordanelle to use theirs, but the line was VERY long and we had to pay $10. My husband and I visited Ledgefork on our first trip with our vintage trailer and had an amazing time that we will always remember! We will be back when the campgrounds open for the season next year.

This took about 2 hours and it was SO worth it. They even have a little too swing at your final destination. The only thing we didn't like was 1/4 of the way in, you have to get off your tube, it's for safety reasons so we get it. It was still so much fun. My friends and I are going to go at least two more times before fall starts! If you're on the fence, DO IT!
