There are only outdoor pools, that aren't open in the winter, and which will be reconstructed and renovated in 2025.

After golf, the group left in the van to head back to the MARC without my 10 year old son. TWO counselors, 9 children, and the counselors didn't realize they had forgotten my son until I called about 45 minutes later to inform them. My son called me from the golf shop after looking for his "group" for about 20 minutes. He did not steer away from the group or go to the bathroom. The only response we received to this situation was a call, 4 days later to apologize and offer a refund.

They say that over 10,000 years ago the Homestead Crater was formed when melting snow along the Wasatch Mountains mixed with heated geothermal hot springs 2 miles below the earths surface started spewing out water and picking up minerals such as limestone which were then deposited above the earths surface forming a volcano or "beehive" like formation. A Swiss settler discovered it in the late 1800's and named it a hot pot. Originally visitors had to be lowered into it via cable. As of the mid 1990's there is now access via a tunnel. We of course had to check it out and I'm so glad we got to experience it and learn about the history. It wasn't as hot as I had expected it to be, and while I initially thought 50 min was not enough of an experience, it most certainly was.

I asked my sister if she wanted to go when they came out here for Christmas, and I had her help me choose where to go. I polled friends, and then I had her choose. She chose the Homestead Crater, and she wasn't disappointed! It isn't too interesting in terms of things to look at, but getting to swim in a hot spring in a Crater, on Christmas Eve no less, made it a cool experience for family from Virginia. The water reflected was pretty blue-ish, which reminded me of a lagoon (like in The Little Mermaid ). I loved hearing of the history of the cave, how it was formed, and the minerals in the water. The water was perfect for a cold day. There are a few stalls, built into the cave wall for changing. The time changing is included in the 1 hour time slot you pay for. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. You do have to wear a life vest, which is provided at the Crater. There are also a couple of places you can sit, like the shallow end of a pool, if you don't want to "swim." Scuba diving is an option, for a little extra. Apparently some of my friends certified there for their scuba certifications. We hope to come back again soon!

The best time to go is after four when all the moms are taking their kids home to feed them dinner. There is a concession area with decently priced snacks and drinks. They play music and sometimes have different activities for the kids like the log roll. There are two diving boards, umbrellas, longe chairs, and they have life jackets for the littles you can borrow.

It can get busy since it's the only decent gym in town, but equipment-wise, it's great. They could have more than two sets of each dumbbell weight, though, but that's the only negative. The daily fee is $5.50 for kids $6.50 for adults which is pretty impressive and affordable. One thing my daughter complained about, was they kept closing the sliding de area due to poop episodes so that's pretty gross, but I guess at least they close it to treat it?

I recently came to watch my children participate and was told that I had to pay the full admission fee just to enter the building - even though I wasn't using any of the facilities or amenities. For parents who simply want to support or supervise their kids, this feels unnecessary and discouraging. Many recreation centers allow parents to watch activities without charging them a full entry fee. Seems like this would also be a lift for the Center re: liability. I hope the Rec Center considers revisiting this policy so parents can attend their kids' activities without having to pay for services they aren't using.

Shop seems cool sometimes good sale but the service side is horrible…read more Had my ss1 serviced the week before a Caribbean trip. It failed at depth. Then they took three weeks to service it again and acted like they did me a favor not charging me lol. Not like I was left stranded in Roatan without and octo/inflator or anything. THEN Book a DRYSUIT course and they change the dates 3 times the week of and then come at me salty when I couldn't make the final last minute date change. Then they didn't even refund me hahaha. Literally their trips are insanely overpriced btw. The attitude they gave me because THEY couldn't get their DRYSUIT instructor to stick to one date was laughable. I work in a business where it's not so easy to just keep changing and am shocked they stay in business treating people this way. Go anywhere else. My grandchildren attended lessons and I am so impressed. The progression of what they are doing on…read moreday one to what they're doing on day five is phenomenal. By the end of week, my grandkids were sliding into the deepwater and coming up without help.
