Great tour! Found them on a third party booking site and the meet up spot was so close to our hotel. The facility was very welcoming and restrooms were very clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and so were the guides. We had booked the private tour of the canyon & horseshoe bend. From the start, the guide that drove us was very welcoming to my family of four with teens. I forgot his name but he was a young slender gentleman. He shared his personal knowledge and experience of growing up in the area and about the history of the canyon we were in. He was great about taking photos and took great ones of our family and the other couple that was with us. We weren't in the truck with the canopy which I was grateful for because it can get very sandy/dusty. The views were breathtaking and unobstructed. I highly recommend taking the tour for the best of the views and stories.

Great tour. Our guide did an excellent job, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She taught us a few Navajo words and culture. Tour vehicles were clean and comfortable.

This was by far one the greatest tours ever! Erin was our tour guide and she was the best! We arrived right before 8am and we checked right in. A few minutes later, Erin arrived with the truck and we boarded. It was just a total of four on this tour which was nice. The secret canyon location is breath taking. We had so much fun exploring the canyon as we were the only ones there. Erin was very informative and knew all her stuff. It took about an hour or so to walk through and walk back out. Our second stop was Horseshoe Bend and again, we were the only ones there during our stop. We were taken to the side private view so we didn't have to deal with the crowds of people on the main side. Our adventure lasted about 2.5 hours and we had a great time. The sun was starting to burn so I'm glad we opted for the earlier time. Cost: $160 per person Thank you Erin for a memorable time! You rock!

Excellent guide...Trey was terrific, shared lots of local knowledge and personal experience living on the land. This is a funny man, sit back relax and he may surprise you with his musical talent. Oh, did I mention how stunning the Secret Slot Canyon was? Yes, it was!

Gayle was a great tour guide with much knowledge and I loved her driving! I would take this tour again! Thanks Gayle

Beautiful beyond words. Our guide Keni shared great information about the slot canyon and Diné people. She even helped us ensure our photos reflected the beauty of the a lot canyon.

we went on a tour today at 9:00 AM and our tour guide was amazing. She really made this tour the highlight of our whole vacation. She was so helpful with taking our pictures and super informative

Horseshoe bend (second stop)

I think our tour guide's name was Erin and she was phenomenal, took amazing pictures of everyone, had a really cool demonstration, and was super knowledgeable about the area. 10/10 experience and was just an overall good time.

Hope you're lucky enough to get Nicole as your guide.

Our professional driver/tour guide Nicole knew so much about the area. It seemed like she could answer anything we asked. I'm sure she's going to get her doctorate in no time! Not only that, but she knew just how to set everyone's phone for the best shots and shared some fun stories/facts with us. I would definitely book with them again since they can take you places that most cannot. We loved the Secret Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Thank you for making Xmas 2025 so memorable! Oh, and Nicole, I'm ready to help manage the boy band once their acne clears up.

A picture in slot canyon.

Gail, Gail, Gail!!!! Gail was awesome. We took the 2 O'clock tour with Gail and we were only one the the slot canyon, it was awesome. We were able to take pur time and we took lots of pictures, Gail actually knew the correct setting to make it look even better. The 2nd part of tour we went to a secert location over looking horseshoe bend where it was only the 8 of us on the tour, and the overlook had a safety rail system that made it better. Gail said it is her spiritual place and she could stay till we all ask to leave which was great, because we weren't rushed and of coarse she knew how and were to stand for best pictures. Please if your thinking of seeing a slot canyon and horseshoe, please use Deer Spring and by all means get Gail.

We were overcharged for the tour we received. We were told we would be refunded but that never happened.

The tour is already $45 but you have to go in with the guide. They yell at you to get to one side and even grab you to move you sometimes. There was a guy that wasn't a part of our group that got yelled at for walking to slow. He turned around and told the tour lady he was taking a picture and she said she he stopped and held up the line. He was getting mad saying what's the point of coming in here if not for pictures. There's only one way in and one way out. As you're walking in there's other people exiting and squeezing through. You're limited to taking one photo at each spot and if it doesn't Come out good they tell you too bad you should've had your camera settings right. The tour lady pushed me to the side of the wall at one point as she screamed at everyone to get to the right. There's a photography tour price of $160 which looks like they get better treatment. They block the tourists so the photographers could get their shots. If you ask me there's too many people inside at once. We came here back in 2007 and there wasn't nearly as many people inside so you had some wiggle room. I think the Navajos are being a bit greedy trying to fit all these tours in. They should limit how many people go in per hour so you could at least breathe and enjoy it. The tour lady wasn't the only one yelling. The other tour guys were also yelling at their people. I understand everyone wants a picture but there's no need to be rude. Maybe if they managed their tours better for the crowd control they wouldn't have to be like this. At one point I heard the tour lady say a bunch of us were being annoying. Geez if this place wasn't so nice I doubt people would come. I keep reading the lower AC is better. I will have to check it out. For now I don't think I would recommend this to anyone unless you are prepared to be rushed and crammed into tight spaces. Or perhaps you enjoyed being yelled at and stressed throughout your trip. They even ask for tips after it's over... It's not like they don't make money off of this place already. Shaking my head...

I got in touch with the individual who posted the photos and was given the contact info for the above company. I inquired about a potential trip for March 2016 and was given different options. I also made contact with other companies doing the similar tours, in the end I decided to go with Grand Staircase Discovery Tours. The main tour which I wanted was White Pocket. I advised the potential date in March and Chris Chalmers (the owner) penciled this. I also inquired about South Coyote Buttes and Chris gave me the steps on applying for a permit. I did get the permit for South Coyote Buttes and the trip was built around it. The cost for the different tours were discussed and confirmed. As we got closer to our trip, Chris emailed and called several times to finetune our trip. We are now back in Bakersfield. We ended up taking 3 trips with them. Rob Wulff was our guide. Rob was the ultimate guide, soft spoken and knowledgeable about the area including the geology. Rob was extremely helpful specially on our first trip which was an overnight stay at White Pocket. The weather was not cooperative with the wind blowing 40-45 mph. Rob made it as comfortable as he can given the conditions. He showed us the good spots photograph and also made sure as a group (5) we were constantly watched over for our safety. During our hikes, Rob made sure the pace was right for everyone. The cost of their tours were comparable if not less than the other tour companies. Their service was great. Their attention to the details was impeccable. We will be back for more tours with Chris. Highly recommended.

Horseshoe Bend was our first stop after checking into our hotel. The nice thing is it's not that tough to pull off. When you arrive, you have to pay $10 to park, and then a short hike on a most paved road (10-15 minutes) will take you to Horseshoe Bend. You'll be able to see this incredible beauty of nature from a cliff that overlooks it. The main area has a railing but there are also open areas off the cliff where you can see it, too. Be careful as your pursuit to get an amazing pic may get you in trouble if you're too close to the cliff's edge. A picture isn't worth risking your life. Take a couple of pictures, enjoy the beauty, and make your way back. You can easily visit Horseshoe bend in 30 minutes to an hour. Given it's popularity, it has gotten quite popular and was busy when I went. That took away from enjoying being out in nature a bit, but still well worth it. When you leave, they have restrooms available near the exit. A must visit when in Page!

The attraction itself is free, but parking costs $10 per vehicle. After parking, there's a short walk to the overlook. Seeing the Colorado River curve around the canyon in person is so much more impressive than photos online. The overlook is very high, which makes the views even more dramatic. If you're planning to take photos or videos, try walking around a bit because some areas get crowded. We found one of the higher spots for better views and it was totally worth it for pictures. Also, don't forget to stop by the "Page, Arizona" sign nearby before leaving! Overall, such a beautiful and easy stop to add to any Arizona or Southwest road trip itinerary.

The day before our tour, Julia called to let us know strong headwinds were expected and asked if we wanted to adjust our time. We already had a different morning tour scheduled, and they were incredibly accommodating with our plans. At the launch site, we met our guide Logan, and we were lucky that it was just our family of four on this tour. Husband and I wore aqua shoes and my daughters opted to wear their Birkenstock sandals and go barefoot, which was fine if you're okay with getting red mud on them. Logan was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous since I'm a beginner kayaker, but he let us move at our own pace. It ended up being a great workout while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The canyon was quiet, beautiful, and not crowded at all. We paddled across Lake Powell and into the canyon, and the cool lake water felt amazing in the warm end-of-March weather (mid-80s). They provided life jackets, offered bottled water, and Logan even took photos of us both on the water and at the end of the canyon, which we really appreciated. He also shared helpful paddling tips along the way. The entire tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours and was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Our group completed the kayak and hike which were very much worth it! We needed slight accommodations and Sid and John were reassuring and supportive for both my mom and I. This tour is really for everyone and I can't recommend this tour company and John enough. Because we traveled during off season, we had the entire lake and trail to ourselves. John left much time for us to take cool pictures and was a wealth of knowledge. He made sure to engage with each person in the group and was successful in getting the more shy individuals to step out of their comfort zones. John and Sid (the other employee) made this tour worth it. They provided awesome recommendations for things in the area and also future outdoor related activities in the U.S. Be sure to pack enough water. Remember you are in a kayak and your items will likely get soaked. Luckily they provide one water proof bag per kayak which can hold your phone and camera. If you feel the need to pack more, I recommend that you bring your own waterproof back pack. I opted to go barefoot in the kayak and wear shoes on the hike. You will have to walk through water to get on and off of the boat. Do not let your size and fitness level deter you from this tour. The team is incredibly accommodating and reassuring, making this the perfect tour for all. Highly recommend this tour and either Sid or John!
