We went out today(February) on the Antelope Canyon Boat tour with Captain Taylor. While the tour could be longer, it wasn't because of the low water levels, I want to give a five star shout out to our Captain, Taylor. First, she's interacted with Powell Lake since she was a little kid. She knew so much about the lake and its history. Second, she is gracious in sharing about her Navajo heritage. I've wasted $50 in worser ways, but let's get clear, this is a tiny boat ride. They only take you a very short distance (see photo attached). And they put you on this crammed tight boat (see photo) to where you can barely get a photo other than the person's armpit next to you. Conveniently they don't tell you where they are taking you until after you've paid and realize there are no refunds. Lake Powell is gorgeous but you won't see any of it on this boat ride. Save your money and pay for a REAL Lake Powell boat tour. read more

This was an unexpectedly amazing experience for us. The boat tour was a 1 hr roundtrip, where our captain took us through the lake/canyon. It was absolutely stunning, the views. We were going at a slow speed, so we could capture the views and it was very peaceful and also 0 crowd (ours was the only boat). I highly recommend this to anyone in Page. It's not talked about enough , but it's equally wonderful to experience this (as much as the upper antelope canyon!!). (5pm slot, april) One suggestion for the boat tour company, it's worth having a 2 level boat, where the upper level (deck) has no roof, and has unrestricted views of the canyon, it would add a whole new level to the overall experience. read more

After 116 reviews on Yelp...frustratingly here comes my first 1 star review. So disappointing!!! My main objective was finding the best way to discover/explore the beauty of Lake Powell. I was undecided about this boat tour or choosing the boat tour that left from my hotel, the Lake Powell Resort. Well, I chose this one and it was the wrong one! Without a doubt the biggest problem was that the boat was enclosed with a roof. It wasn't open aired and that prevented good photo opportunities of Lake Powell. For this tour, this company absolutely needs a new boat. The driver warned everyone at the start of the ride, if you'd like to walk to the front of the boat for pictures, do so respectfully, only for a short time and move back to allow everyone else on tour to take pics as well. I hate to be a downer....but the fighting and pushing between people to get to the front...people hogging too much time with selfies...it was no fun. Along with...I took a 3:45pm tour and shadows were certainly an issue as well. The captain warned and threatened that if people didn't share time at the front of the boat, she would turn the boat around and return to the doc without a refund. Unfortunately, it was bad karma to begin with. The captain wasn't friendly. People were selfish. The boat just had to be open aired, without a roof! So, for an hour long ride at $28 per person, and along with a $25 entrance fee to gain access into the marina, it was not worth it! This was by far the most disappointing activity I experienced in Page. If you do want a boat tour of Lake Powell, the one leaving from Lake Powell Resort has to be better. Although reading reviews from that tour, there were cautious comments that although the boat was an open aired double decker, the race to get to the top deck was a complete mess....and that if there wasn't room on the top deck, you were forced to sit in an enclosed lower deck at $46 per person. Grrrr! Well, my advice for a fantastic day in Page would be to stick to the Upper and Lower Slot Canyons, Horseshoe Bend, and....a well kept secret and very pleasant surprise....the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook!! read more

This place is more of a place where people can bring their boats/kayak/paddle boards/ or swim. FYI: this review is only for bringing rental kayaks/paddle boards to this location. We didn't do the boat tours. Entrance costs $30 for 1 week. There's a person at the entrance collecting money. We rented it through an a company where we lived and brought the board/kayaks. We swam in the lake and kayak/paddle boarded on the lake. Very easy to find. We got the map from our Paddleboard rental place. Our rental place told us the location for kayaking and paddle boarding, we drove, staying to the left road and keep going to parking lot near the end. They suggested us to drive down the ramp and unload and reload everything on the ramp so we don't have to carry it all the way to the parking lot. If you're going, HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY BRING at LEAST 1 gallon of water/PER PERSON!!!!! You'll need it. You don't want to be dehydrated and can't paddle back to shore. We didn't bring enough water and sunblock! We had people turn tomato and were dehydrated. Most of us had our skin peeling within a week after our little excursion. There's a restroom, but I'm not sure where exactly it is. The length to the end of the canyon is 2 hours in and 2 hours out. So I stress the importance of water. Esp when we went it was 110 degrees in August!!! We hiked 1/4 of the way and turned round because we were so hot and thirsty. I suggest taking your time and don't over exert yourself. Have fun! And see the magnificent view! When there were flat surfaces I saw ppl securely placing the paddles at the plat parts of the rocks and just hung around in the area and swam in the lake. It was really fun over all! I highly recommend it!! ****tip*** if you're renting kayak/paddleboard, make sure you know how to set your kayaks and how to strap it onto your car. You'll have to do everything yourself. No one to really help you, unless you ask random people who knows. read more

Went there and inquired about the times. Inquired about being pet friendly and they stated that it was. That was the staff at the upper portion of the canyon. . After that you have to take about a mile bumpy ride in a golf cart down to the dock. When we got to the dock to pay for it, they stated that it was not pet friendly . Very much lack of communication. To top it off the golf cart broke down and had to wait a quite awhile to be taken back up. Be careful using this business and what they tell you. read more

Please use caution when booking through websites. I booked through horseshoebend.com instead of directly with the company. Horseshoebend.com is a third party seller, however, their website does not state that--and they capitalize on supply and demand. I bought my tickets from this site at a price of $45.26/ticket. When I arrived to check in at the visitors center, my statement read as $28.06/ticket. When I called the number i had received in the confirmation email, I was told horseshoebend.com was a third party vendor who buys tickets in bulk and resells them, taking whatever the markup price is as a profit directly to them. Something to keep in mind when you are making reservations. I would advise contacting the marina directly to purchase face value tickets so you don't get ripped off in the way that I did. I loved our tour guide. Super nice elderly man who knew a TON about the area. Taught us a lot about the lake and the canyons around! He was funny and extremely accommodating. I'm pretty sure his name was Mike and Jared was our captain. They were so awesome! They let us take pictures and even had a good flow going on so not everyone crowded on one side. We were looking for something to fill a day in Page and we stumbled across the Antelope Canyon Boat Tour. We literally decided on this as we were driving and booked the tickets in the car. For only $30 a person, we received an hour boat tour of some amazing views of Antelope Canyon and the surrounding landscape. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facilities in the Antelope Canyon Point Marina were really nice. There were about 12 other people on our tour and we were free to move around the boat to get different photo angles. Our guides, Michael and Melvin were amazing with their enthusiasm and knowledge. It was a nice, informative tour. The tour guide, Jared, gave a very informative tour to my family. We were the only people on the tour because it was off-season (January). It was cold, but luckily, the operators recently, as in 1 or 2 weeks ago, installed clear plastic covers with zippers on the sides of the boat to keep the cold out. Because we were the only people on the tour, I got great pictures from the front of the boat. We stayed in Page so this was about 20 minutes away from my hotel. When we book the tour, we did not received a confirmation on the email luckily I did have screenshot and was able to get all the pertinent information and location, as a precaution we arrive earlier to check our reservation there is two ends in the Marina and we went to the wrong one and from there we got to the hotel area and check our reservations , they provided the passes at the same time.The tour was just perfect for us since we were able to be there by sunset and had beautiful pictures of Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon. We booked this tour in the off season. We had a great experience. Our tour was on 11/22/2019, it was a bit chilly but very manageable with a good jacket/coat. These types of excursions are very dependent upon the guide running the tour and we really lucked out with Peter. Although he had only been working there for a few months, Peter was very knowledgeable about the history about page and lake Powell. I was pretty excited for this boat tour but I left completely disappointed. The tour guide was absolutely horrible. She didn't give any information about the canyons during the tour. She just drove the boat, that's it. And you just walk around and take photos. The biggest thing that pissed me off and ruined the tour was that she made threats to the children on board and made very inappropriate gendered jokes. No one on the boat tipped the tour guide, which wasn't surprising because she made the whole tour uncomfortable for everyone, with her inappropriate jokes and comments. I'm surprised there's so many positive reviews of this place. Wouldn't recommend. Go to the lower antelope tour instead. read more

The only thing I will say is the parking price was $25 that's more than Disneyland! But I'm sure they have their reasons. WOW the BEAUTY of this tour is AMAZING!!! Antelope Canyon Boat Tours was FANTASTIC in EVERY WAY!!! From the check in, to the golf cart rides down (& up) to the water, to the Captain of the boat, and the 2 deck hands ~ EVERYONE was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!! Our tour was just one hour long, and I felt like we could have enjoyed that ride all day. It is relaxing, after tons of vacation running! It is shaded, with the cool water breeze. The sites are amazingly beautiful, and the staff makes sure that you get the BEST photos of it all!! I can't say enough about this tour ~ JUST GO!!!! And the restaurant at the marina also didn't disappoint! Exactly what we needed after our long day!! Highly recommended! Also a cute couple of gift shops, and very nice, new, CLEAN bathrooms!! After booking it from Tucson, our group arrived Friday afternoon just in time to rent out a few last minute kayaks. The kayak rental was actually down the bridge to the left side of the dock, and it's recommended to take the golf cart down (We got some cardio finding the place). Renting the kayaks was a simple process. Once we were out on the water, entrance to the slot canyons was about 4 miles down the river. We took some amazing shots while kayaking and in the slot canyons. We were beat at the very end of the trip (roundtrip was 8 miles!!!) but the canyons were definitely worth another trip (maybe jet skis next time)! read more

Just to clarify, there are at least 2 companies that offer boat tour to Antelope Canyon. This is for the one leaving from Wahmeap Marina. Now having been to Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon, I'd suggest that you skip the boat tour. At $50 per person, I was expecting... more "wow". But this part of the canyon was just "meh", the included audio tour was just "meh", the crew was just "meh". My brother and I spent most of the tour going, "This is it?" I mean after seeing all of the national parks in Utah and the scenery along the road, this part of the canyon is a big letdown. Completely underwhelming in every aspect. (But like I mentioned, do visit Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon - they're crowded, but more beautiful). If for some reason you're not physically able to visit Lower or Upper Antelope Canyon, than by all means do the boat tour that includes no-walking around at all (you stay on the boat the whole time). The average age of the participants should be a hint on the demographic that this tour caters. And oh, the $25 'parking fee' mentioned here is actually a national park fee, so if you have a National Park Pass, you don't need to pay extra. read more

The canyon was beautiful and I'd love to come back and kayak all of it at some point, but with a 2-year-old in tow and an inexperienced kayaker for a spouse, that wasn't going to happen this trip. The place is very scenic and the boat and everything is physically setup well. Our tour guide was kind of a nightmare. She made everyone very uncomfortable. She had all these rules in place that we later confirmed were not rules set by the company (don't talk during the tour, don't stand up during the tour, etc). The tour also had free water bottles and my fiancé each took one but she got on the microphone and said to everyone (when we did that) that only one water bottle per visitor or couple; she yelled "don't take advantage of us!" She must have been having a bad day but like I said, I can't see why - when it was really scenic out there and the weather was great and her only job was to tour us through this awesome place. Anyway, it was an uncomfortable and still scenic tour. Hopefully, this lady changes and finds a way to smile and chill (for tourists like us, it's a long trek out here and it costs for the tour and the park entrance itself so it's important your trip is not with a really bad tour guide). We took the boat tour with Captain Jarred and it was beautiful. He narrated the tour but this company NEEDS TO GIVE THE CAPTAIN A SOUND SYSTEM SO PEOPLE CAN HEAR HIM!!! Such a waste of his immense knowledge and charm. Only the customers near him could hear him narrate, the poor guy should not have to shout. The ride itself was very calm and nice. Great scenery, calm water. People were respectful of not standing too long at the front of the boat. One broad did elbow me pretty good but I think it was an accident!
