But when I arrived to Ken's Tour Lower Antelope, I found out that the group of people coming together was 30 people or more. They got two groups together and they didn't give us enough time. We were rushed and we didn't have time to take pictures. Also, they didn't have operated restrooms with water, there were toilets outside without any water and all sanitizers were empty. Despite no water in the restrooms they had an operational fountain in front of the office. No wi-fi. The waiting room was overcrowded. It is good I went there in October, I don't know what people doing in summer time. Additionally, the guide was rushed and rude. Also the whole tour took about 30 minutes maybe a little more, on website it says 50-60 minutes. Antelope Canyon is amazing, but just don't take the tour from Ken's Tours. I saw there was another tour operator and I would like to see reviews from people who took other's operator's tour.

Upper Canyon is the more popular and famous option as it's where the light beams occur at different times of the day. Lower Canyon is where you get deeper into the canyon. No matter which canyon you choose, make sure to book your reservations weeks in advance. If you don't, especially if it's a weekend or peak season, you'll likely be out of luck. We visited on a Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. Antelope Canyon has become one of the most popular attractions in Arizona thanks to TikTok and Instagram. In many ways, it's becoming the new "Grand Canyon." Even if you're not big on social media, if you're a certain age, you know Antelope Canyon. Why? It was the standard wallpaper on Microsoft Windows for many years. And yes, the pictures are just as mesmerizing as reality at this natural wonder. The incredible formations inside this canyon were caused by many years of flooding and weather elements such as wind. You'll spend about 45 minutes in the canyon taking it the beauty of the canyon which is located on the Navajo Nation reservation. You'll be taking a lot of pictures of yourself, of the canyon, and listening to what your tour guide shares with you about the history of the canyon. It's one of those places that everyone should visit at some point in their lives if they're able. It's that incredible. It takes some planning and it's not cheap, but it's well worth it.

We didn't do the boat tours. Entrance costs $30 for 1 week. There's a person at the entrance collecting money. We rented it through an a company where we lived and brought the board/kayaks. We swam in the lake and kayak/paddle boarded on the lake. Very easy to find. We got the map from our Paddleboard rental place. Our rental place told us the location for kayaking and paddle boarding, we drove, staying to the left road and keep going to parking lot near the end. They suggested us to drive down the ramp and unload and reload everything on the ramp so we don't have to carry it all the way to the parking lot. If you're going, HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY BRING at LEAST 1 gallon of water/PER PERSON!!!!! You'll need it. You don't want to be dehydrated and can't paddle back to shore. We didn't bring enough water and sunblock! We had people turn tomato and were dehydrated. Most of us had our skin peeling within a week after our little excursion. There's a restroom, but I'm not sure where exactly it is. The length to the end of the canyon is 2 hours in and 2 hours out. So I stress the importance of water. Esp when we went it was 110 degrees in August!!! We hiked 1/4 of the way and turned round because we were so hot and thirsty. I suggest taking your time and don't over exert yourself. Have fun! And see the magnificent view! When there were flat surfaces I saw ppl securely placing the paddles at the plat parts of the rocks and just hung around in the area and swam in the lake. It was really fun over all! I highly recommend it!! ****tip*** if you're renting kayak/paddleboard, make sure you know how to set your kayaks and how to strap it onto your car. The easiest is to take a 2 hour boat tour/ride and it will take you to about a mile's hike to the bridge. Not the easiest natural bridge to get to but would be worth it when you get there. It is a sacred bridge to the Navajo Indians so you are requested not to walk under or approach the arch. Might be better to go in the evening, because sunlight does not fall on it in the morning from the viewing area and you are not heavily pressured to respect tribal custom and not walk under the bridge and take pictures from the other side. Don't even think about walking around it, since that would be walking off the trail and the fine is $25,000, if you are caught.

On the day of the tour, we woke up really early, munched on some fruits and bread for breakfast and drove to the Lake Powell Marina to take the boat. We sat on the top deck for a few minutes to enjoy the views, but very soon went downstairs to sit indoors because the weather was very cold. During the two and a half hours boat journey, we kept ourselves busy by listening to the audio tour and looking at the unique and marvelous red rock formations all the way through. During the last half hour, the boat entered a narrow passage with towering rocks on all sides. A bit scary and exciting! A part of the passage was so narrow that everybody in the boat went "Ohhhhh" and "aaaaahhhh". We finally reached the dock near the Rainbow Bridge, stocked up on water and snacks and started the 1.5 mile hike to see the Rainbow Bridge. It was an easy hike and we were walking among the soaring tall rocks. We looked minuscule and more like ants to these rocks. As the trail turned, we caught a glimpse of the massive Rainbow Bridge. We walked further to see the bridge completely. A colossal structure majestically standing right in front of us! This 290 feet structure is apparently considered sacred by the American Indian tribes. For the same reason, visitors are not allowed to walk under the bridge or touch the bridge. We spent a little over half hour, taking pictures and mostly gasping at this gigantic naturally formed structure. Then walked back and boarded the boat. The return journey is never always fun, because everyone is exhausted. Just lazed back in the seat, watching the beautiful structures on the way, until the boat took us back to Lake Powell in Page.

As a first timer to the lake, my partner and I did the mistake to start kayaking from the Wahweap Marina (BIG MISTAKE!!) to the Antelope Canyon and man did we regret it!! lol Please, please, please start your kayaking from where they recommend, the Antelope Point Launch!! We ended up doing a 20 mile (9 hour!) kayak trip around the entire Antelope Island! We were exhausted, but feeling safe around many boats, we decided to push to the end and luckily we made it! There is a small channel short cut at the north end of the Antelope Canyon to the Wahweap Marina side of the lake. We called the kayak office (while in the middle of the water!) and explained our situation, they totally understood and so we arranged to drop off the kayak the next morning. The day before our tour, Julia called to let us know strong headwinds were expected and asked if we wanted to adjust our time. We already had a different morning tour scheduled, and they were incredibly accommodating with our plans. At the launch site, we met our guide Logan, and we were lucky that it was just our family of four on this tour. Husband and I wore aqua shoes and my daughters opted to wear their Birkenstock sandals and go barefoot, which was fine if you're okay with getting red mud on them. Logan was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous since I'm a beginner kayaker, but he let us move at our own pace. It ended up being a great workout while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The canyon was quiet, beautiful, and not crowded at all. We paddled across Lake Powell and into the canyon, and the cool lake water felt amazing in the warm end-of-March weather (mid-80s). They provided life jackets, offered bottled water, and Logan even took photos of us both on the water and at the end of the canyon, which we really appreciated. He also shared helpful paddling tips along the way. The entire tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours and was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The first day we got into Page, it was about 2pm and we spontaneously joined fun atv drive around parts of the Grand Canyon exploring some spectacular views and drive. There had even been pockets of snow still on the ground in April 2024. Completed Kayaking and seeing Antelope Canyon the 1st morning/afternoon in Page,AZ. It's an amazing. and a perfect way to end the first day with a sunset hike. Wanted to enjoy a sunset hike to Horseshoe Bend and I highly recommend the trip here to experience if. We headed to Horseshoe Bend before sunset and while it was getting crowded we still got some quiet time to just be in awe of nature and all its awesomeness. Horseshoe Bend could be done in about 2 hrs. Just depends on how long you'd like to stay to take in the views. Parking is at the entrance and the trek to the bend is not a difficult one. Just follow the crowds. Enjoyed some delicious bbq and live music that evening before our last night and then returning to California early next morning.

First, the transport truck is a major safety hazard--it is completely open with no seatbelts. On the drive back to the base, the guide drove so recklessly and slammed on the brakes so hard that a member of our group almost fell completely out of the vehicle. It was absolutely terrifying. The guide himself was totally checked out and unenthusiastic. He bluntly refused to take a quick photo of us outside. Once inside, he aggressively rushed us and limited pictures strictly by group. While he did eventually take some photos for us, he put zero effort into them, and the pictures turned out completely terrible. We watched other tour groups around us whose guides were patient, kind, and highly accommodating, which made our experience feel even worse. Worst of all, one person in our group is recovering from an injury and walking slowly. Instead of showing basic empathy, our guide made a highly inappropriate, discriminatory comment, telling us we "should be going with him to exercise." They show zero regard for passenger safety, basic quality of service, or human kindness. Book with someone else.
