You won't have to worry about anything when you're with Shundiin Canyon Tours! We decided to book a last-minute tour and were greeted warmly on the phone by Nicole to make our reservation. She gave us all the information and tips we needed to have a safe and great adventure! Erwin and Amelia picked us up and shared wonderful historical facts and cultural teachings about our people (I am Dine/Navajo). My husband is non-Navajo, and a lot of what they shared supplemented our knowledge about the area. Amelia is tied directly to Lower and Upper Antelope Canyon, as she grew up herding sheep through the canyons. And so it was nice to have someone who is originally from the area and to know we were supporting a women-owned business whose partnerships are family and that they give back to the community. Our guide Kyle helped us take amazing photos; I mean the kind of photos you see taken by professionals online, with my own phone! His knowledge of various phones and their cameras with filter settings was astounding! As we were paired with a family from France, I saw that Kyle was versed in select French vocabulary to help them through--this is especially impressive because it showed he was willing to go above and beyond in learning different languages (especially for being such a young man). He also played his Native American flute for our group, which helped us settle more into the beauty of the canyon. My husband and I booked a Combo Package (Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon) with Shun'Diin Canyon Tours based on a friends' recent wonderful experience with them. Our experience far exceeded anything we could have hoped for - everything was exceptional! Instead of spending the day driving to the locations, standing in lines and trying to navigate the tour options Erwin took care of everything! We were picked up at our hotel, driven to Lower Antelope Canyon location while learning about the Navajo Nation and its cultures, introduced to our guide and off we went. When we came out of the canyon Erwin was standing there ready to take us to Upper Antelope Canyon with cold water and snacks on route. Upon arrival Erwin signed us in, introduced us to our guide and we were off into the canyon. We had a group of 42, including several kids,, and I expected a lot to go wrong. Instead, the trip was extremely smooth, the buses were on time,clean, comfortable,, and our guide, Erwin, was fantastic. although I grew up in Arizona, I have never been to antelope Canyon and I think it's one of the best Arizona trips I've ever been on. This time of year, there are lots of clouds in the sky that make the impressive scenery even more magical. Irwin has sent us several pictures that he has taken at other times of the year that are also phenomenal. Ian, our guide for the lower canyon, was very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, and had the patience of a saint, with all the young children that was with our group. We just happened to find this gem of a company and what a gem it is. We booked both an upper and lower Antelope Canyon tour through them. They were wonderful! They picked us up at our campsite and took us to each site for the tours. They checked us in with the tour guides there while we waited in comfort. Then we just scooted out for the tours. The heat gave me a bit of a problem and they were extremely helpful and caring. They gave we power water and electrolytes to help. They checked back with me afterwards to make sure I was okay. All the while they shared information about the Navajo history. They communicated every detail to assure we had a great experience. We highly recommend Shun'Diin Canyon tours. This company is the best! We toured Antelope Canyon and Horse Shoe Bend in Page, AZ and it was spectacular! The Shun'Diin Canyon Tours Company was so professional and knowledgeable. A shout out especially to our driver, Erwin, who picked us up at our Hyatt hotel in his comfortable van and stayed with us all day! He was an authentic Navajo Indian and so knowledgeable about the area. Due to different tour arrangements (I didn't join the boat tour while others did), they kindly arranged a private pickup just for me in a pickup truck. I received a one-on-one guided tour with detailed explanations and beautiful photo references along the way. The schedule was relaxed and well-paced, and the guide even introduced me to her lovely aunt who lives nearby -- she's 101 years old and still full of life!
