The view we rode to! Beautiful, right?
    Aastha B.

I went to Horseshoe Bend Trail Rides, and as soon as we got there our gave us instructions. The horses where SO ADORABLE!!!They(the horses) looked healthy and alert.I hopped onto Fifty-cent,with my brother on Long Shot and my mom on Pepper, And we started the ride.We went around feeding time,so our horses kept picking at the bushes from time to time.We stopped for a moment to walk down and see the veiw, then hopped back on to ride back. This experience was a overall 5 star review and I highly recommend going this place.Thyw view was pretty, and the horses where friendly and nice. Each horse has their own personality.Just be warned, that they don't lead your horse, you are in full control of your horse. The staff was okay at first,I do recommend to pay attention,as my mom was taking pictures and got yelled at for not paying attention. In the end, they came around.I do want to come back,as I had a pleasant experience.

I had so much fun on this tour. The owner was very accommodating. The horses were well mannered and we even got to run/jog with horses at the end of the tour because we asked. This is a must do tour if you want uncrowded, quite, intimate tours of horseshoe bend. This tour is on the Navajo side, so you are the only ppl there compared to the other side which has 20-50 ppl depending on the time of day. I did the 7am tour. Just a tip: if your tour time is at 7 then that's when the owner will let you in to get ready to ride. You may wait at the gate to be let in. Loved the tour and the ppl. Hope this helps.

JUST BOOK YOUR TRIP The Family that runs this trail ride we're exceptional people. The ride was such an amazing experience for anyone! Very first timer friendly, the horses are very well trained and all have they're own personalities! It's a lot of fun! Plus the tour guides make excellent photographers and know where to take awesome pictures! This was a very fun and enjoyable experience! We will definitely be back!

This was such a peaceful and private experience. Jerry Ann was our guide and she was amazing! The horses were beautiful, the scenery was beautiful and the ride was easy! My 8 year old was able to easily ride by herself.

I've been meaning to write this review long ago and owe it to them!! I went on this tour earlier this year in January and have to say that my experience was absolutely amazing and memorable. I definitely 100% recommend this tour if you want to experience Horseshoe Bend without the crowd and to learn more about the vast history of the land. We booked the 2 hour tour and had 5 people in our group which 2 had no experience riding. Experience is not necessary! This tour is not your average horse follows horse in a line. They allow you freedom to roam and wander within reason. In the 2 hour tour, we also got off our horses twice each at amazing view points of Horseshoe Bend. I would also like to mention that they work off of tips so bring cash!! They do an amazing job and are passionate in what they do! We had no issues with communication from booking to day of meeting. Our primary method of contacting was through calling. I know some did not have reception at the location of meeting, but if I remember correctly, we had called right before heading to the location to let them know our ETA. I want to extend a special special thank you to everyone: Marlin, our guides, the whole business that made our experience the best as possible for our group and for being super accommodating. Thank you so much for allowing me to propose to my girlfriend, now fiancee. This place holds a lot of sentiment and is very special to us. We can't wait to comeback again in the future.

If you're staying or passing through Page, you need to make this a stop on your itinerary! The entire experience was great - super friendly staff, well behaved horses, and absolutely beautiful views. This was my first time on a horse and the staff made me so comfortable and even matched me to a horse that was best for beginners. I did the latest tour which was a little chilly in mid- November, but the sunset was totally worth it. I'd suggest the sunset ride and to just layer up (depending on the time of year). Also, remember to bring cash if you'd like to tip. I forgot cash and was bummed I couldn't tip them because they really did such an amazing job!

Britt was our guide and he was very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time. This ride is worth it because of the view you get away from the crowds. Extensive riding experience is not needed, but if you have ridden before that's great.

He shared extensive knowledge and experiences with us as we traveled on Navajo lands into the slot canyon and out to Horseshoe Bend. From his knowledge of desert plant life to assisting his tour with phone photography, Bob's passion for teaching was palpable, making the experience all the more memorable. As for the tour itself, we did a little off-roading to the slot canyon, which was an adventure itself, all while learning about the history and geology that preceded us. With a much fuller camera roll, we drove to an exclusive viewpoint of Horseshoe Bend that was remarkable. If you're looking for a more intimate experience of the slot canyons and Horseshoe Bend, look no further and book it today! Well done, guys.

The easiest is to take a 2 hour boat tour/ride and it will take you to about a mile's hike to the bridge. Not the easiest natural bridge to get to but would be worth it when you get there. It is a sacred bridge to the Navajo Indians so you are requested not to walk under or approach the arch. Might be better to go in the evening, because sunlight does not fall on it in the morning from the viewing area and you are not heavily pressured to respect tribal custom and not walk under the bridge and take pictures from the other side. Don't even think about walking around it, since that would be walking off the trail and the fine is $25,000, if you are caught.

Many people stop once they get to the arch, but it's worth the little extra hike farther in to get a view of the other side. Make sure you bring enough water, wear comfortable shoes and put on sunscreen; no dogs allowed because it's just too hot for your little buddies. Fun fact: there's a dinosaur print by the base of the arch. A little pour of water may reveal it better...

Now listen I'm gonna tell you straight. You can hike it, sure. Strap on your pack, bake in that canyon heat, follow the mules and the dust like you're reenacting some pioneer tragedy. Or... you take the helicopter. Drop in like you've got better sense than the rest of 'em. Because when you're only staying a night, you don't waste half your trip pretending you enjoy suffering. You get there quick, boots on the ground, eyes wide open. And what waits for you... ain't normal. The water this unreal shade of blue, like someone spilled paint straight outta heaven itself cuts through red rock like it's been there since before memory had a name. The canyon walls stand tall, watching. Always watching. You can feel it. Not in a poetic way... in a you're not alone kind of way. The people there, the tribe they carry a quiet presence. Like they know something they're not in a hurry to explain. Respectful, grounded... but there's history in their eyes. Old history. Night comes different down there. The fire was crackling low. Shadows stretching just a little too far, bending where they shouldn't. That's when I saw it. Across the canyon, tucked behind a tree like it didn't quite understand hiding... something big. Hairy. Not a trick of the light. Not a deer. Not a man. It stood there. Watching. Then came the sound. Tap... tap... tap. Something hitting the tent. Not hard. Just enough to say, "I'm still here." I thought maybe rocks... maybe pinecones. But there weren't any trees above us that could explain it. And whatever it was it had aim. I told the others. Nobody laughed. Nobody slept. We sat around that fire like it was the last safe place on earth, eyes fixed into the dark, waiting for something to step forward... or worse, not step forward. Because sometimes what you don't see is worse than what you do. Finally, in a moment of pure, desperate brilliance or stupidity someone grabbed a sandwich and chucked it out there into the black. We waited. Minutes stretched. The canyon held its breath. And then... nothing. Whatever it was... it was gone. No footsteps. No sound. Just silence again, like the place had swallowed it whole. Now I ain't saying I believe in Bigfoot... ...but I'm also not saying I slept worth a damn that night. And here's the part where I switch gears for ya because after all that spooky nonsense, you gotta laugh a little. Look, I'm just gonna say it .. "I paid good money to fly into a canyon, not to get mugged by a damn woodland gorilla." You got folks hiking ten miles, riding donkeys, sweating like they owe the sun money... and I'm down there getting harassed by what I can only assume is the canyon's unofficial night manager. Five stars. Would absolutely go again. ...but next time, I'm bringing two sandwiches.

An additional journey heading out 6 miles past Beaver falls you can get to the Confluence where you can see the Havasu Creek water meet up with the Colorado river. For the camp sites you aren't assigned an actual location you just grab any available site that's not directly on the trail. There's a fresh water spring in the camp site where we refilled out bottles for the 4 days & 3 nights we were here. Also 2 miles back up at the village they do have a cafeteria with burgers fries, hot dogs and all that other stuff. If you're not up for the 8-10 miles hike into the village/campground with all your camping gear on your back they have options at additional cost. You can have your bags packed on miles/horses and carried into the site & they also have helicopter rides in and out of the village (first come first serve, the natives have priority to skip the line at anytime)

J.c. holds a wealth of knowledge and experience of the lay of the land, we were a party of four in one utv and there was a party of two in another utv, with J.c. leading the way through twist and turns to get to the canyon, the ride to get there was a great experience in its self!, it was a bumpy ride but that's the lay of the land!, your going to get dusty and dirty so expect it, and you need closed toe shoes as well. It's about a 15 minute ride from the base to the entrance to the canyon and well worth the ride!!, but when you get to the canyon that's where nature and J.c. wow you with such grand beauty and the wealth of knowledge that J.c. shares with you and the hike that you take through the canyon, nothing strenuous or stressful at all. You spend time exploring through the canyon and that's where you can take great pictures of the walls and the different topography that is there!, the weather was mild, mid to high seventy's so your comfortable in light layers, but again you will be dusty/ dirty but it's well worth it, pricing if fair, so make sure you book with them for any specials or discounts that are available, it's about a two hour excursion, so you really get your $$$ worth. So do your self a favor and book with this company and book one of the many excursion that is available to you!, again or guide/ host was J.c. super cool guy, and I know everyone else there that are guides are great as well, but J.c. was our guy.

My bestie mentioned mule rides and that took me down a rabbit hole. By the time I figured out our time schedule/ itinerary for the specific date of our visit (May 2026)- the December holidays/ 2025 were in full swing. Upon reading the informative website ( grand canyon lodges.com ) regrading the 3 different types of mule rides, we liked the 3 hour Canyon Vista Ride. Yes, 2 hours in the saddle and trekking the Eastern Rim of Grand Canyon Village (GCV). It is YOUR responsibility to read everything thoroughly. Guests have the option of either checking IN the day before your tour OR arriving 90 minutes prior for the weigh in process and filling out the waiver forms--which you do at Bright Angel Lodge first. On the website, it says you can "click here" to book online. Even though I kept clicking, it rerouted me to the same page which just gives you 2 phone numbers to call and book. I tried the local number: with area code (303) and that automatically put me with an AI agent. I prefer to speak with a real person and called the (888) number instead. Just follow the prompts... It took 40 minutes for my call to get to the queue- I made sure my phone was charged. The live agent did not rush the call and was very polite & patient. Explained every detail on what to expect and how the process goes. There is a cancellation refund- which will be explained to you over the phone & I'm sure in your email as well. I will update my review after our experience.
