We completed 26 dives each out of both Palm Beach and Jupiter, including a PADI Deep Diver certification before heading to the Blue Hole in Belize. The Kyalami team is outstanding -- true professionals who run a tight operation but still know how to keep things fun. From the office staff to the boat crew, everyone is attentive and detail-oriented. If I had one minor critique, it would be the requirement to complete a waiver for every dive day. There is no legal reason this can't be done once at least per year or season. It was a minor annoyance every day we dove (which was a lot) The diving here is excellent -- it's hard to believe this level of quality exists just a short boat ride off the coast. We dive in January-February and water temperatures ranged from 71-75°F. I wore a 3mm full wetsuit with gloves and a hood and was comfortable, though it was a bit chilly on the colder days. Visibility varied but was often very good. Only a couple of dives were scrubbed due to weather or rough seas. They aren't afraid to cancel if conditions aren't safe -- something we genuinely appreciate. Don't miss visiting Jasper the Goliath Grouper at Breakers Reef or the massive Goliaths and lemon sharks on the Jupiter Wreck Trek. We even had a rare hammerhead sighting during our stay and some massive bull sharks on our deep dive! Top-notch diving with a top-notch crew. We plan to return annually and are even considering a winter home in Florida close enough to dive with them regularly. Can't wait to go back and dive with Kyalami.

I have dove on this boat many times. The diving is typically good, but the captain and owner…read more(Sandy) has a very short temper and when angry conducts herself in an unprofessional manner. On a dive in July 2022, I accidentally forgot to take my safety marker into the water, and my dive buddy (who also forgot his marker) and I surfaced about a half mile from the boat. We were spearfishing, and 3 sharks were circling, and another boat came by. We were not given instruction prior to this dive on what to do in a situation like this, so we climbed on the other boat and asked them to take us back to the charter. When Sandy realized what happened, she absolutely went ballistic, saying "get off that ****ing boat right now. Get your *** back over here" and several other things. When I got back on the dive boat, I apologized and basically just let her keep on yelling at us. I have also seen her on many occasions be very harsh and rude to Vicki, who also serves as a captain on the boat, and sometimes is also a Divemaster in the water with us. I guess I am a glutton for punishment, because on September 2, I went on her boat again (my wife, who had witnessed the first fiasco, thought I was crazy). On my second dive, I accidentally forgot my surface marker (again). I couldn't believe I made that mistake again, and I was very upset with myself. I shot a barracuda, intending to eat it, but it turned out it was over 36", so it would not be good to eat. It was still a legal fish (as a trophy), but I shot it with the intent of eating it. When I got back to the dock (Sandy was not on the boat that day), she cursed me out again for forgetting my safety sausage a second time and went on and on. It's not like I didn't feel bad enough already, and because I had my 4 foot speargun, the boat was able to find me with no accident. At the time, I just let rant go. After thinking about it a day or two, I e-mailed Ocean Quest and told her how I was very disappointed with how she behaved and how I didn't think it was ever OK to curse a customer out. I even told her that if she had simply said, "Matt, if you do this again, you can't dive on my boat", I would have been fine. It was after all my mistake, and a potentially very dangerous one that would put myself at risk. However, when she didn't even have the courtesy to respond after a couple of days, I decided it was time to write this review. It appears my review has been removed, so I will keep posting it until I receive a simple apology, as I want others to be aware. I have at least 4 dive buddies who likely will not use her again after this latest incident.

I planned my day around this excursion and made it a pool day at my hotel. I left my hotel at 1 pm, got there in about 15 minutes and then drove an hour looking for parking. The sheriff blocked off the parking lot because it was full. Side roads were full. At this point even if I found parking I'm walking over the lagoon bridge. I called the company and Stevie said other guests and the tour guide, Parker, were also experiencing the same issue. Stevie tried her best to help by suggesting someone picking up etc. Still no time because of he excursion was starting in 15 minutes. I requested a refund because I was done at this point. Owner called me back and assured me that I would get a refund. So unless you plan on getting there in the morning to get parking, move on from any excursions at 900 Heron. This review was fair and honest, not slamming the company. However Kaleigh thought it would be cute to email me a nasty email this morning accusing me of being a bully. Photos of the conversations attached. At this point the unprofessional-ism of this company should be considered. Kaleigh, if you were only this respectful and professional as the face you are trying to show publicly privately. Overall great experience, especially because my friend and I missed our turn and had to move to a later group. The guides were nice and energetic and you know they were working hard; we were their last group of the day! It was more of a snorkel endeavor, and they had everyone hold onto a rope attached to the boat. One of the crew member was free diving and she got very close to the sharks and took everyone photos. Honestly wish I was certified, bc diving with sharks seems much cooler than snorkeling with them. Guess that'll b my next adventure!
