I don't really know how to start but I guess a thank you should do it. Thanks for helping someone to make his dreams possible, thanks for a great good vibes experience. I try other companies before and can't compare, not long after the meeting time there was a friendly atmosphere in the air that makes you feel almost like one more. Thanks for being really clear with instructions and making the operation easy and enjoyable. I can't recommended you guys highly enough. Hope seeing you guys soon. Maybe I could learn more and interact more, even be part of your crew who knows. That would be more than a dream becoming reality. If you have doudbs about who you wanna go diving with, please do not hesitate, chose the sweet divers, I meant Salty divers! Thank you all

KYALAMI CHARTERS DIVES - One of the best dive tours I have been on. Had so much fun. I would like to thank Joe and his crew for a dive well done. I will be back.

KYALAMI CHARTERS DIVES

My wife and I just finished several weeks of diving in the area with Kyalami and had a fantastic…read moretime. We completed 26 dives each out of both Palm Beach and Jupiter, including a PADI Deep Diver certification before heading to the Blue Hole in Belize. The Kyalami team is outstanding -- true professionals who run a tight operation but still know how to keep things fun. From the office staff to the boat crew, everyone is attentive and detail-oriented. If I had one minor critique, it would be the requirement to complete a waiver for every dive day. There is no legal reason this can't be done once at least per year or season. It was a minor annoyance every day we dove (which was a lot) The diving here is excellent -- it's hard to believe this level of quality exists just a short boat ride off the coast. We dive in January-February and water temperatures ranged from 71-75°F. I wore a 3mm full wetsuit with gloves and a hood and was comfortable, though it was a bit chilly on the colder days. Visibility varied but was often very good. Only a couple of dives were scrubbed due to weather or rough seas. They aren't afraid to cancel if conditions aren't safe -- something we genuinely appreciate. Don't miss visiting Jasper the Goliath Grouper at Breakers Reef or the massive Goliaths and lemon sharks on the Jupiter Wreck Trek. We even had a rare hammerhead sighting during our stay and some massive bull sharks on our deep dive! Top-notch diving with a top-notch crew. We plan to return annually and are even considering a winter home in Florida close enough to dive with them regularly. Can't wait to go back and dive with Kyalami.

Just want to say that diving with Kyalami Charters was an amazing experience. They have one of the…read moremost professional crews out there. Super friendly, helpful and if there are any issues they are there to help. I absolutely could not have asked for a better crew. Emerald Charters - Emerald Charter's Boat

Emerald Charters

TLDR: We had a great time doing a 3 tank shark dive with this company. Their service and…read moreprofessionalism are evident, and they still have great personalities that keep the anxious divers relax. The story: My wife has been diving for 20 years but has never seen a hammerhead shark. When we were looking at different charter companies for shark diving, we found Emerald Charters and had multiple phone calls back and forth with Randy, the owner, setting up the trip and also answering LOTS of questions. My wife had no concerns whatsoever, but after talking to some people who told horror stories of being thrown into the water after they drop chum in, I had questions I have a hard time believing that that can even be true, buuut it did prompt me to ask Randy. So it turns out that Emerald doesn't do it that way. We would be following a guy with a bait bin (think of fish parts in a big cat toy) and never actually be in contact with the bait. Phew! Randy is in charge of the boat. The scuba portion and gear is provided by a concierge scuba outfit called Jupiter Scuba. We contacted them the days before the dive. They helped us fill out all the forms and made sure we had the gear we needed for the dive. It was going to be a 3-tank drift dive across a wreck field, so we knew that getting cold could be a factor in late March. We rented one of those giant, fluffy warming coats for my wife during the surface interval. She gets cold usually by the end of the 1st dive, and we wanted to make sure she got all 3 dives in to have a chance to see her hammerhead. The place you meet is under an overpass where there is a fishing dock and ample parking. It also appeared clean and safe - but the town is also pretty nice. We passed the turn on the first try because we were looking for an address marker on a storefront when all we had to do was turn left under the overpass. Pretty sure that was on us. The gear was all there waiting for us and we went through the Nitrox mix on our tanks and checked our rental gear. We only rented fins, wet suits, and hoods, but others came with just bathing suits. The gear was in good shape and easy to use, and after we had all checked through in the parking area, they brought all the gear down to the boat. All we had to do was walk. At the boat, we met Randy who introduced our Skipper, Brandon and deck hand Shelly. They both did a great job the entire time. Brandon handled the boat like a pro. He minimized rolling and was always to us quickly and safely when we surfaced. Shelly was on the spot for everything we needed including helping me escape from the bungie holding my tank in when I had only seconds to get up and dive. She rocks! The boat was comfortable for the 14 divers we had. The head was clean and easy to use. We saw 20 plus lemon sharks every dive. They are actually sort of tame. During the second dive, an 8 foot, juvenile tiger shark came in at the end, and the third dive had all the lemons, the tiger returning and staying most of the dive, and even Thor, the 10 foot great hammerhead, visited. It was amazing!! the return back to the docks was comfortable and easy as was the offload. The Good: Nice boat, comfortable and well appointed. Very knowledgeable staff who helped us with every problem that arose. Great dive and a wonderful day. The Bad: Nothing at all. The mediocre: Really nothing. Overall: We will dive with Emerald again when we return. I have no reservations about recommending them. Since you read this far: Some people have a problem with bait diving for sharks. It is true that this activity is modifying their behavior to a certain extent, but so is every other thing that man does in the ocean. I believe in conservation and not preservation, so I believe that the more people have a chance to see sharks in person and experience the simple, calm, and pleasant interactions, it will change their opinion about sharks in general. I believe this will lead to greater conservation efforts and people will STOP EATING SHARK FIN SOUP! Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk :-)

Christina Houle was our guide for the day and previously in week helped me finish my diving certification. She was professional and made me feel at ease the entire time. I highly recommend her if you are thinking about diving and looking for an instructor! 5 star ! She also helped our party out the day of the dive. We DEFINITELY will be going back!!! She made my diving and PADI certification such a great experience. Mark and Randy and entire crew were friendly, knowledgeable and gave precise directions. Safety is always a focus in diving and this company really is top notch. Cannot thank them enough for the most amazing experience.

Dave asked appropriate questions about our experience and expectations. He gave us options and was enthusiastic about our choices. He offered private guide services that were outside of our budget, but did not make us feel bad or "less than" about declining them, as some operations do. It was obvious that he wasn't trying to upsell, but just wanted us to have a beautiful dive! The boat he booked us on, the Narcosis, gave us a great experience. When the Captain and crew discovered we'd booked through AquaSafari they became very excited, and said he was a great instructor and respected diver. I highly recommend this operation!

While I live in the west coast of Florida, Bradenton, I'm so happy that I was referred to Dave by a dive friend. She said he was the perfect person to introduce my kids to the sport. It's very important that a person's first dive experiences are positive ones and that they learn everything to a level of confidence that they will be safe confident divers for the rest of their lives. She was so correct! Dave came to my home and conducted NAUI certification training and classroom training followed up with 6 dives in West Palm Beach, FL. I'm so grateful for the impact he had had on my kid's lives! All 5 of them, ages 13-21, had great experiences, passed their certification exams, and have a new appreciation and passion for diving that they will have for the rest of their lives! Dave has incredible interpersonal skills and patience paired with incredible knowledge of SCUBA equipment and physics of diving. He was also able to connect with the whole group and provided a wealth of knowledge. Even though I had been diving for over 20 years and had a great instructor, I learned so much from Dave as he educated my kids. Tiny nuances about proper snorkel breathing or differences in equipment will be great tips I'll value forever. Not only is Dave a great teacher, but he is an incredible guide. In each of the 6 dives he briefed us, set great expectations and followed through with guidance for a great experience for each dive. We could not have asked for a better guide and experience! My youngest daughter was turning 13 the day of our last dive. Dave surprised us with a fudge cake and had the boat crew give my daughter a "cake" treatment after her last dive. Whether you are intruding a loved one to the sport, looking to continue your scuba education or want to have great dive guidance, I can't recommend Dave highly enough!

Here's my short (and long) of my recent experience with Finatix Scuba Diving and Tammy Goodbar…read more The short version; Tammy and Finatix are my "go-to" for dive instructions and dive guides in the West Palm Beach area. Professional, accommodating, attentive and very, very safe. She just did a refresher for me after 4 years without diving. She was gentle but firm in confirming my skills in gear prep, dive planning, buddy procedures, hand signals and both beach and boat procedures. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for scuba dive training or dive guides. The Long Version; I first met Tammy when I was doing a underwater macro photography workshop at the Blue Heron bridge in Riviera Beach, Florida back in August 2016. At the time I had been a certified diver for almost 30 years. Tammy was one of the guides and I was lucky enough to be in her group. I was impressed with her professionalism and her eye I spotting the little critters we were there to photograph. Over the three days of the workshop I got to see that my first impression was not a fluke. Day after day Tammy was a pro wrangling the photographers and uncanny in spotting subject for us to shoot. I left that workshop impressed and with her number. By the time the Covid 19 pandemic hit I had some non-Covid medical challenges that required a couple major surgeries. The results of which made my ability to continue scuba diving a question. I live in California and although we have some great diving the water temperature is never really warm. When considering how best to determine my ability to dive I remembered diving with Tammy in the (nice warm) waters of Florida. At the beginning of 2023 I called her to see if I might retain her to review my abilities and skills one-on-one. She was immediately on board and we determined that June would be a good month for both of us and the waters would be warm. I booked her on the spot. I got down to West Palm Beach this last Saturday (6/17/2023) and came by Finatix to select rental equipment, sign the ever present paperwork and review our plan for the next couple days. We set a time to meet for the beach dive at Blue Heron bridge the next day. We met there and went through setting up the gear. As balance issues are one of my residual challenges Tammy insisted on carrying my gear to the beach. We reviewed our dive plan and got in the water. On descending we reviewed some skills and started the dive. Tammy led and kept an eye on my checking that I was "OK" regularly. Inn our 50-minute dive we managed to spot; Southern Ray, Eagle Ray, Yellow Ray, lobster, crabs mating, A Sharp-Tailed Ray feeding and a playful Octopus. We ended the day with an agreed time to meet for a 2-tank boat dive the next day. Tammy took the gear and brought it to the boat dock as well as getting it on-board. Before we boarded we reviewed boat procedures again. We went out for our first dive and she was careful to make sure that I could safely manage the difficult task of getting into the water off a rolling boat with heavy dive gear on my back. We continued practicing dive skills and cruised the reef seeing more great stuff including several sea turtles and eels. As this was drift style diving, we came up after doing the required 15' safety stop for 3 minutes in mid-water. A good test of buoyancy control. The boat picked us up and she monitored my ability to remove my fins, hand them up and climb the later with my gear on. After a surface interval we did a second dive then headed in. Tammy took care of the gear, signed my logbook and insisted that I had accomplished all the skills review that would confirm that I could still dive. I know the next time I'm down in the West Palm / Riviera Beach area Tammy and Finatix are going to be my first call.
