Went on DiveOcean. Diving was good for what we have around here. The waves were a bit choppy and got to see a water spout. I felt safe and it felt controlled. It was easy to stay with our guide plenty of options for tanks from AL80's to HP steel 80/100's. I did a steel 80 and had plenty of air and down time. The fills were nice and full. Getting back onto the boat was a tad of a challenge with the waves and it would have been very helpful If they had had a swim line instead so your fins could be taken off then you could get onto the ladder. While there are fin steps on the ladders it was challenging to get off my fins unfortunately and would have been much easier with a swim line out the back. The other thing was the price. For two steel 80's and the boat it was $153 yet there are signs all over the boat that the crew/dive guides aren't paid. Makes you feel ick seeing you're on this boat but they don't pay their people. Everything is tips only so when all is said and done you're upwards of $173/two tank dive per person. read more

Had an awesome scuba diving trip for Women's Dive Day! Boat location is right next to Square Grouper (great for food after), with plenty of free parking. Just drop you stuff off in front of the restaurant and go park the car. Quick walk to the end of the dock to boat "Devotion". Our crew: Kenny was our captain and did an amazing job of tracking everyone and picking up quickly as soon as we came up. Kayla was a dive master and was fantastic at making sure everyone felt comfortable, stayed on the reef, and no one was left behind. Andre was our mate and was very attentive and made sure everyone had everything they needed, and getting in and out of the water was performed safely. read more

The Scuba Works team did a great job from start to finish with safety always the priority. This was my first dive after a refresher course dive following a 3yr hiatus. I had probably close to 100 dives in the general area around Jupiter, so this was a good spot to check myself and equipment. The dive master led the main group on the west side of "Big Wheel" and "Spade Fish." A few regular hunters on scooters worked the deeper east side. Everyone obeyed total dive time and remaining air time, so things went smoothly getting everyone back on the boat on time for roll call safety check. The hunters got about a dozen lobsters and two red mutton snappers. One of the muttons was pretty nice. A couple lobsters were taken by the dive master, and I believe on other by a diver on the shallower west side. The first dive on Big Wheel was about 75ft to the top with a 3ft ledge to the west. Spade Fish was about 70ft to the top with a 15ft ledge to the west. Depending upon your dive preferences some might have reversed order of the dives given the deeper ledge on the second dive. Given the depth involved and 60min maximum dive time with everyone running a diver computer everything worked out amazingly well for everyone. The boat crew, captain and deck hand, did a great job of getting us in and out of the water, and taking care of everyone on deck between dives. The only negative I have is I prefer an open rung "Christmas tree" ladder so I can climb on board without taking off my fins. As a denture wearer I dive without dentures. The regulatory is easily knocked out of my mouth. On a iffy wave day the regulatory being knocked out of my mouth while hanging on to the back of the boat trying to remove fins is almost a given. That is not a good thing when you are a little heavy in the water trying to get fins off. read more

Great bunch of people, both in the office and on the boat. I was the least experienced of the group I went out with, plus I was without a dive buddy. They took extra care to watch over me, check my gear, and once down, the guide, who took on the role as my dive buddy was highly conscientious of again, watching over me. My wife and I purchased the open-water training course. It was much more involved and through than we anticipated. It was great!!! I purchased the course as a Christmas gift being that we love to travel and have dived before at a resort that had Discovery-Scuba. The resort dive was fun, but the quick explanation of everything before being thrown it the water wasn't the best idea we had. The Scuba Works certification course with Lexi answered all the questions we didn't get from the resort dive and much more. Day-1: is an indoor classroom that goes over everything that you were supposed to read well before the class. Day-2: is an all day deep water pool to learn all the fundamentals Day-3 & 4: Is completed 4 short dives to be tested on everything that was learned from the books, classroom & pool dives. I took my 12 year old down to Scuba works in Jupiter, Florida. I booked everything in advance which I try to do and their front desk was great. My 12 year old is certified but the rest of the family does not have a certification. As a result, their private tour option is perfect as he can't scuba by himself. He has his own gear with the exception of a few things which we rented and that was quick and easy prior to the dive. Shannon was his private guide and she was great. We don't live in Florida so my son doesn't scuba as often as he would prefer but Shannon was really helpful and within minutes they were off swimming with sharks and tons of other types of fish. I would definitely recommend Scuba Works and we will be back. My son already asked when Ms Shannon is available again. Thanks to the rest of the crew as well! read more

Had a really fun and wonderful dive to Arwa 51 and Larger Head on Saturday 1 July 2023 with the awesome crew from Scuba Works! This is my second time doing this dive and it was once again spectacular experience observing a plethora of marine life including reefs sharks, moray eels, large and exotic groupers, large sea turles to name a few. I especially want to single out our dynamic dive master Elcy for point out my flawed technique for ascent to the surface and management of my bottom time. I made a reservation on a Tuesday for 9 AM Dive where they were able to squeeze me in with being one person I gave my credit card and I was charged for a dive and two nitrox tanks I called that Friday after realizing that I had come down again with Covid and the girl said that she would get it taken care of Two weeks later after not receiving my credit I called and they said that they can refund my night trucks and give me a credit for the dive which I was not interested in proceeded to call me back and tell me that they will not refund my Dive money but the $30 for the night trucks they will refund. The most disturbing thing to me as a small business owner is their lack of communication and no set policy for Covid situation I have been diving for over 30 years and would not trust a dive shop where three different people have given me three different responses read more

We had a great open water certification with Fini in January 2023 and just came in June 2023 for the Reefs and Ledges trip. Lex made it easy to arrange the trip and get us set up with gear. Another great day of diving aboard the #Diveocean with Scuba Works! Went for an all-day four dive trip on Saturday in beautiful weather. Four foot seas made re-entry a little challenging, but the 76-78F water temps were perfect. Visibility varied from 30-60 among the reefs and wrecks we explored. Speaking of perfect, captain and crew of Diveocean were perfectly wonderful! From Capt Stoker to deck hands and DMs Finny, Lex, and Kayla, everyone took fantastic care of us the whole time. Best of all- they meet you curbside to unload and load your gear! Another best, the dock is located at the Square Grouper Tiki Bar. This is a great spot to grab a sandwich between the morning and afternoon dives or enjoy an adult beverage or two at the end of the day. Can't wait to come back and do it all over again! read more

We had a negative experience with this folks (specially with the owner: Yvette Crow). We are experienced divers but remarked several times we did not wanted to go alone our first dive in Florida. We asked for a private guide, not provided ("do not worry, there is a group guide"). Zero visibility. We lost our guide when descending. We looked for her. We flahsed our torches in every single direction. She did not come back. The worst part of this was the owner attitude: "it is your responsibilty to follow the guide", even when her own staff apologized (face-2-face) for what happended. Her staff promissed to come back to us by email... never happened. What we received (again) were bad manners from the owner. NEVER PUT YOUR LIVE IN RISK WITH PEOPLE FOCUSED ON MONEY. read more

Greed before fair business practices and good old fashion customer service. As a scuba diver, I was looking forward to my wife joining me on dives and she was very eager to learn. We signed up at Scuba Works which is 60 miles away from where we live and paid almost $400 in advance. That proves my wife was serious. We also would have to stay in a hotel. She studied diligently, listened to both videos, read the text book, cover to cover and took all the tests in the text book. She spent the required day in the classroom and was eager for the pool portion of the course. We were surprised to learn the equipment for the pool training and open water wasn't covered so we spent another $70 renting equipment and paid for few items suggested by the instructor. That was okay, but it was a surprise as when I took the course the equipment was included. Bottom line all totalled was about $500 plus $170 for the hotel. My wife has been seeing a podiatrist for years and has a foot problem that on a regular basis doesn't give her problems and she doesn'tthink about it. Maybe because she uses a special insert. She never had fins on before and didn't anticipate the fin would hurt so much when she kicked. The moment she got into the pool she couldn't continue. We asked for a partial refund as she paid for the book and attended six classroom hours. She didn't use the pool or open water. Regarding the equipment only the mask, fins and snorkel she used for a minute. We paid for and only asked to be refunded the BCD, tank, and open water portion. THESE PEOPLE REFUSED TO REFUND A PENNY. I have a business and never took advantage of anyone. I guess I'm to honest and ethical. Too bad people have forsaken The Golden Rule, doing unto others as you would want other to do into you. read more

Repost of my google review for those who use Apple Maps/Yelp TLDR, if you've been looking for a dive shop or trying to get into Scuba, look no further. Rental gear is nice quality and taken care of, staff is great, prices are fair (even compared to online retail) So I've been coming here a month and realized I didn't even drop a review. This shop is wonderful and the people here are wonderful, welcoming, and patient (even before a purchase or reservation). I saved for a bit and got myself an entire system (BC, Reg System, Accessories, Computer, etc). Since I got it all here I got some discount and some boat trips on DiveOcean packaged. Much of what I ordered wasn't in stock due to back order and the shop let me use their rental gear until it all came in. They helped me set it all up, gave great advice, and I'm loving everything. Some staff I've interacted with who have all been just great (whose names I remember, sorry if you're not in here!!!): Robert, Kayla, Matteo, Todd, Brian, Brandon, Finny (spelling?), Austin, and Lex (I hope I didn't mess that name up, too). I took a giant stride off the boat and plunged into the deep blue sea. As I disappeared beneath the ocean's surface, I entered into a surreal new world. I'm just a visitor in this giant aquarium, a mere observer of a world I've never experienced firsthand before today. It was my first boat dive. I was nervously excited to join the ranks of a community of people who seek the calm, meditative, peace that only this underwater adventure can provide. Fish playfully swam all around us in a swirl of bright cyans, golden yellows, and neon purples. They were undisturbed by our presence, putting on a show just for us, fluttering about, chasing each other around, dancing in ever-impressive formation. My first encounter with sharks was when I was 8 years old, watching Jaws for the first time. I learned to fear sharks. Today, I floated 75 feet below the surface of the sea and watched in awe at my first real-life shark encounter. The shark, beautiful and docile, swam gracefully through the water with several colorful fish at its side. I was no longer afraid but in awe. We were blessed by a visit from a second shark a few minutes later as it swam by, unaware of our presence, but welcoming us into their home. The real highlight for me was the sea turtles, so incredibly beautiful and serene. With their slow, graceful movements, they seem to embody the very spirit of the sea. Watching them in their natural habitat helps me to understand our need to protect these beautiful creatures at all costs. Today I was a weightless underwater astronaut, exploring a mysterious new world where life exists untouched by stress or worries. Today I breathed underwater and this experience breathed new life into me. I was just a visitor in this world, but I've never felt so welcome, so relaxed, so free. Best dive operator in Jupiter. I have been diving all over the world, and have to say we had a great experience with Scuba Works. The boat is clean and new and well suited to scuba diving. The crew is amazing! They are knowledgeable, professional, very safety conscious, and very helpful. I was also very impressed with their dive shop. It is large and spacious, well organized with plenty of inventory. They offer everything from high end dive gear to lower end snorkeling equipment, and have goods at prices to fit every budget.
